Handy for hot soup
Haven’t used it for anything else other than blending soup.
Blade must be submerged to avoid a mess.
Takes 2 miminutes of stiring on high setting to get the creamy consistency.
Surprised that it sometimes doesn’t get ever last chunk that’s glued itself to the bottom, eg banana or a random mushroom slice

Easy to pull apart for cleaning.
Has numerous uses, great for fruit, veg puree / dip / sauces. Makes the ultimate mash potato. Has 2 speed, is stainless steel & plastic, easy to use, easy to hold while you are using it + so easy to pull apart for cleaning. Does not take up to much room in the cupboard.

Sad that a small part deems the unit useless
Again the plastic shaft wore away, total design fault. Called the Kambrook service line as is the standard reply in these posts from Kambrook. Was told by the operator that he had a unit and its never happened, thats not helpful making me feel as its all my fault! Went on to say that the part can not be replaced. What a waste of resources to have a perfectly functioning motor and a small part deems the whole product useless!

Poorly engineered
The concept and operation of the apparatus is all good until the plastic interlock gear/shaft connection on top of the bowl lid sheers itself. Fancy making this piece out of plastic with a tiny square drive in the middle. I could have predicted the tiny square hole would have rounded and it sure did. Something that is to take a significant amount of stress needs to be made of something sturdier and designed so it can't be rounded. Pathetic engineering. A flat screwdriver shape would have fared much better.

Plastic melting
Hi,
Same thing as everyone else the plastic in the lid that connects to the motor has worn away rendering the product useless. Is there any way to get a replacement?anywhere that I can go to buy a replacement for that one piece only, as I don't want to throw the whole thing away.

Good initially plastic parts wears out.
As others have commented. Must be a common problem.
The plastic connector between the steel shaft and the motor wears out making an otherwise good product useless.
A good unit now going into the bin because of this one small part's failure.
If I could get a replacement part that would be great.

After trying another brand, I can only give this product a rave review.
I have been using my old 250W unit for something like 10 years and use it annually for blending tomato and other sauces, along with general household use. It has never let me down in that time, but because of age and power, I decided to upgrade to one with (allegedly) a 700W motor. After only twenty minutes (approx.) intermittent work, the new one burnt out and I was forced to go back to my old faithful Kambrook, which finished the job nicely, though struggling a little due to quantity. If I purchase a new one in the near future, I will be looking closely a Kambrook again.

Terrible comunication on faulty product
On new years eve 2015 i had wipped up cream, using the essentials stick mix & then went to have a shower. 2 minutes later the fire alarm went off, then i could smell fumes.
I got dressed fast, & went to go outside. I live in a unit block that sends of alarms to 8 units.
As i went to go past kitchenette i could seat that the beater was on fire, and had also caught a tupperware bowl. In my fright i threw the dog water over the beater.
I then went out side and told the residents what had happened. When i went back inside the...Read more

Still going after 5 years!
The only problem we have had seems to be a common one in these reviews, about the shaft coming out of the mixer.
This happened to us after about 18 months but was quite easy to fix by removing the three screws on the bottom of the mixer and accessing a small circlip inside that had rusted away because of immersion in water.
We simply changed our cleaning technique so as not to get water inside the end that attaches to the motor and had no further problems.

Not built to last!
I have had this stick blender for fifteen months (unfortunately, just outside of warranty)... I used it fairly regularly to make smoothies, for which it worked well. Now the steel shaft has worn through the plastic head that connects to the motorised body, which has rendered it useless... such shame that the only thing that has stopped it from working was the use of fragile plastic in a mechanically fundamental part of the appliance.

buttons too hard to press
I returned mine to the store, as I thought it was faulty and wouldn't work. Turned out you just have to press really hard on the buttons to make it work. I am stuck with something that I never use, as it is too hard to make it go

2nd use it broke
Was given to me as a gift and when I used it the second time it made a popping noise with a spark and stopped working. Only the second use! Kambrook won't replace it either which makes me question its safety even more!
Do not purchase this product! Obviously it is a faulty product and a possible fire hazard.
Update:
Do not buy this product! Faulty and broke and no customer service without receipt. If a product is faulty then you should not need a receipt, it should be called back! I'm sure Fair Trading will have something to say about this. Very poor form Kambrook. I would have thought a company so big would be concerned!
Broke 2nd use and bad customer service and warranty

Kambrook rang me and said there is nothing they can do with faulty products! Horrible customer service, rude and blunt! Do not buy this product for fear of what might happen!

Can it whip cream?
The unit looks and feels great and suggests good quality. However, on its 2nd use since purchase to whip 300mil of thickened cream, the motor burnt out with a reasonable amount of smoke. We have had the unit for about 12 months and used it only once previously. it still looks like new but there is a serious problem here....
Form factor and apparent quality of accessories.

Hi Greg - as the KSB7 stick mixer doesn't come with a whisk attachment, Kambrook does not recommend using this product to whip cream. Please contact Kambrook's customer care team on 1300 139 798 or e-mail [email protected].
I only had my unit a couple of months and the exact same thing happened to me! Used twice and now nothing! Terrible customer service from Kambrook as well!

Value for money
I've had mine for about five years, works fine, no problems. Use it mainly to make Hummus in the small chopper. I would look for a couple of different features next time though; My previous chopper had a lid that you could put on the chopping bowl and thus store your hummus etc in the fridge - the Kambrook does not. Also the metal of the stick mixer is not great for whizzing soup in a nonstick saucepan - got to be careful not to ruin the non stick surface. Despite choosing this one thinking it would be hard wearing I would look actually for a plastic one next time.
Cheap, chopper and stick mixer in one.

Motor siezes
Pulled mine out of the closet and decided to use within a year of purchase, on fifth use the motor seizes and becomes a fire hazard! Highest speed is slow so have to use for prolonged time which increases the fire hazard!
Pros: Easy to assemble, chopper and homogeniser available.
Ease of assembly
Faulty materials, motor gets hot and seizes.

Doesn't last
I've owned two. Both have broken in under a year. On both occasions the shaft that the blade attaches to has come loose making the mixer impossible to use. I like the way it mixers and use it every day, though the buttons are very difficult to press. I can't imagine someone with arthritis being able to use it.

Doesn't last a year before breaking. The buttons are hard to press.

Love it!
I actually love mine... I didn't connect the motor to the chopper bowl correctly (in haste) and wore away the plastic in the lid - silly me! But I love it so much (particularly for chopping onions - takes the crying out of the task) that I'm looking to buy another one!
Great for chopping onions.. Small too - can be quickly and easily washed up!
The plastic in the lid wears away if not connected correctly when blending..

Disappointed
My son gave me my Stick Mix for Christmas a couple of years ago and I have used it mainly for whizzing soup. Last night when I used it the blade detached from the shaft, looks like something up the top of the shaft that holds the blade attachment in place has come away. Very disappointed. Is there a part I can buy to fix it???
Like all stick mixers it's a brilliant way of whizzing up soup, minimal mess and wastage.
The motor part is heavy and the operating switches are hard to press

Not built to last
Stick mixers are handy tools, and this one made about six nice soups before the blade sucked right out of it. It sticks to every pan you use it in and the button is so hard to press in that after a few minutes of use your hand aches. Its also useless at making smoothies. The chopper is ok but it hardly holds anything. Huge waste of money. I have upgraded to a Kenwood which is so much more versatile, efficient and sturdy.
good for making soup
uncomfortable, flimsy, ugly, too much suction

Why didn't I get one sooner?
I use my Kambrook stick mixer on a daily basis and love it. The main thing I use it for is in preparing baby food, but I'm also constantly using it for other foods and drinks. Today I had a recipe that needed almond meal and I didn't have enough (and no time to dash down to the shops), so I used this mixer to make almond meal very easily. I don't use the separate chopper attachment as frequently, but it still comes in handy. This stick mixer is easy to clean too.
Handy and easy to clean
