    Got this after buying a kmart kettle which dies after 3 months. Structurally this kettle is pretty well made compared to others. I have previously used a Kambrook kettle for almost 6 years which was being replaced by Kmart's home brand kettle.



    However, there was a time where there wasn't any water in the kettle but the heating element just started heating up without the switch being pressed. I am not sure if there is any design issue with it but it only happened once.

    I do hope that Kambrook could investigate on this because it's a pretty serious issue and may burn down a house if not detected earlier.

    Does this have any plastic inside? It looks all metal on the picture, including the lid, and cant see the water level indicator

    Other than the mouth of the kettle that holds the filter, the inside is metal. The water indicator is near the handle.
