Karcher FC5

18 months old worked great clean great. Now the two bearings in the head have seized, causing the drive belt to break. Lost warranty, so carefully checked it out. Have no option's left. $370. 00 gone. Bought this product thinking it will be made properly. Seals in the head must let water in to seize the bearings. Use the cleaning product reconmended by karcher.

Bought this based on several online reviews (Obviously paid reviews) and 98% plus dissapointed. It leaves streaks on timber floors, battery doesn’t last a whole floor and vacuum is pathetic.

I have parquet timber floors and purchased this approx 8 weeks ago as I can’ t use steam. Very disappointed as it leaves streaks and blotches on the floor. I used Karcher products in the water as they suggest. I will phone the Company but now have gone back to my I Robot floor cleaner.

The rollers stopped working and looks like its not made to last as the bearings seized up and will never run again very disappointed with something that has a decent idea

We have dogs so got the FC5 and in fairness it worked well at first. Now its just over a year old and I would say its been used 50 times and does not dispense water anymore so its back to the mop and bucket.
Shame it does not last long so dont waste your money on this cleaner, I have noticed the positive reviews but from what Ive seen they have not had the cleaner very long. Karcher jet washers are brilliant but this product really let their good name down.
I would highly recommend you do NOT buy this product

Have other Karcher products, but this one leaves me cold. Won't use it again. Am going back to my steam cleaner so much better. Still have to clean some marks off the floor as the vac mop won't remove them.

The positive or the negative reviews ??? there are a lot of negative reviews bot only few positive so not sure who to believe. very difficult decision

A mixture of hardwood, tiles and Lino this has no problem changing surfaces. We all have long black and its picked up without the tangles you get around the brushes in a conventional vacuum. Dries quickly; thorough job.

After spending hundreds of dollars on other cleaners, this machine does all I wanted with hi shine tiles it does it streak free and leaves my tiles sparkling clean, works great cleaning grout lines.

Had 3 of these from bunnings. First one we thought was great, it worked for 4 months and stopped spraying water, exchanged for a new one, lasted a week with it making grinding noises. Exchanged again and the 3rd one, the rollers wouldnt stay on.
Save your money and avoid.

Bought my first one last year, within 2 months the rollers stopped working and there was a terrible noise.
Sent back and received a new one, a year later the new one just stopped working altogether, took it back only to find out from my Bunnings that their is a recall on them, never contacted by Karcher. Not Happy at all.

Now this does thing does what it is meant to and it cleans floors very well and fast. Buy it direct from Karcher.. No warranty Issues that way, straight swap.

This is a massive piece of junk. Save your money and do not buy! The main selling point of this product is supposed to be that it vacuums as it mops eliminating the need to vacuum first, but this is a blatant lie. It only moves debris around the floor, especially pet hair which it does not pick up at all. Do not buy unless you're happy spending $300+ for a glorified mop as this product is false advertising re: vacuuming.

Been back for repair so many times I have lost count now they say it's my fault and fell apart see pic and I am going to have to go to court to get my money back!!

Problems from the start. I am 185cm tall and had to crouch just to get the brushes to turn. It worked for 2 months then brushes stopped spinning. Found that the rubber strip had come loose and jammed up the rollers. There is no way to refix the strip to the unit as it is machine pressed on. I'll never buy a Karcher product again!!

Used literally 5 times. Motor has the capacity of a small toy, roller threads are cheap plastic. I should be charging Karcher for Mental trauma support. Get your act together and value the reputation of your company...

We have had this for around 8 months and its stopped working, finicky, fragile not recommended, gone back to the old fashioned way. mop and bucket, shame as karcher has a good name

We bought this hoping to have a quick and easy way to clean our hard wood floors as we have dogs. We are very disappointed. Basically it is useless. My daughter and I live on the same property and thought we could share this. We have both given it a fair go but unfortunately it is a total waste of money.
I chose this model because I have other Karcher products that are great.

Karcher floor cleaner worked really well when we first had the machine. Mopped my tiled area less than once a week. After about three months problems started. Water jet worked when it felt like it despite cleaning the machine as per recommendations. Phoned for advice from a recommended repairer worked for a short period of time. Some of the tiling is a little unending in places and after mopping gentlest over area rollers stop working. Now at 8 months machine unusable. Store won’t accept it back and has to go to a recommended repairer. For a reliable org like karcher disappointed.
