There is a simple fix to flashlight not working

published

People,
Please note that the contact on the battery seems to be faulty. It's not making contact = does not work. You need to take it apart. Take out the 4 screws, pry it apart which will expose the battery contact. Bend the contact so it touches the battery. FIXED!

Purchased in December 2021 for A$30.00.

Rubbish

Tried two of these and they are rubbish. Thought the first one was faulty. Swapped for second one and same issues.
Pulled cord or recommended time and the torch doesn't work. Put in sunlight for hours, no good. Changed the Lithium battery, still no good.

Doesn't work

published

I pulled the dynamo for ages, and also kept it under very bright sun on a balcony for a couple of hours. It doesn't work. Neither the torch nor the charger.

The battery is inside, and the thing lights up when I pull the dynamo, but that's the only thing that comes out of it. A waste of $40.

Okay

The Kathmandu hand torch solar/dynamo is awesome. It can charge some phones but not the iPhone, which kinda sucks because I use 1. But the torch is really good because it uses solar power and pull dynamo so that means you don't need to plug it into a wall. I recommend this to people who like to go camping or traveling.

How do you get it to charge? I wound the dynamo for a good 5 or 10 minutes without it taking any charge. What should I do?

If you can't charge it with the dynamo, try placing it under some sun light to charge with the solar panel.

Battery is dead, First one I got was like that. Most-likely was left on while shipping or something. you can buy the 3.5v batteries for like $1 if you want to replace it, or take it back for another.

If you can't charge it with the pull dynamo, try placing it under a source of sun light to charge it with the solar panel. Now back to the pull dynamo, your dynamo is probably broken, but if it isn't, this how to use it. Pull the dynamo until you see a red segment which marks that it is near the end of the line now you let go of the dynamo line, and repeat those steps for a minute to get fully charged (if your dynamo isn't broken).
