Seal failed around valve
My son bought one and used it a few times then left it stored inflated at my place. I decided to try sleeping on it in the lounge room. Deflated slowly over night. Found the leak by putting in tub of water. Cover material not fully stuck down on the valve. As I fiddled with it, the material lifted more. Then the whole valve inset basically fell out. The glue holding it in has failed. This is a manufacturing problem. I will try and glue it up but does not change the fact the mat is badly made.

Spli around valve
Great for a year or so then fell apart. Probably 10 nights use & now split where the valve piece bonds to the sides. Not repairable and conveniently out of warranty
Purchased in January 2021.

Great for the first few uses
Have two of these. Both have developed holes along the sides and no longer hold air. They were great on the first few uses now cactus.

flat and won't inflate after first use
I brought 2 and I used them and they were fine. It was just over a year before I used them again. second use and one didn't work. I took it back but they said it was not under warranty. They're not cheap so very disappointed. I had a Thermarest for years and even repaid it once and it lasted much longer. I have brought a cheapie from Aldi and it works fine. Katmandu products are overpriced and lack quality.

Only lasted 2 years
I bought 2. They worked fine and I used them a bunch of times over 2 years. Then they would slowly deflate. I put one in the pool and noticed they had developed tiny holes along all the edges where the seams are. Rang customer service and they said something like it was out of warranty, they would inspect to advise if it could be repaired and if there would be a charge. The call didn't leave me hopeful so I didn't follow through. I would stick to a reputable brand. I have a Thermarest that is still fine after 15 years.

Great camping mat. Really is more comfortable than inflatable ones.
I know it may seem a bit weird looking at a 3cm mat and thinking 'won't my hips hit the floor when I'm on my side?!'. Surprisingly not. This mat is amazing. I ended up buying two. My partner used to hate camping but now enjoys is as she can now get a decent nights sleep. It also offers solid thermal insulation from the ground. I do find that it does work better in the outdoors as opposed to hard surfaces like living rooms..

Good
great sleeping mat. after a long day very comfortable to sleep on, even with a rocky base. even though it is a bit on the weighty side i would rather carry the extra weight and have a comfortable slep then carry less weight and be uncomfortable for the whole night. Great value for money, and a real bargin when they are on a half price sale. Fantastic that it comes with everything a hiker would require. Reapir kit is easy to use and quick to apply enen in the wilderness. Own stuff sac is convnient as wih other brand you have to purchase th...Read more
ese separetly. Compressions straps can be used in a emergency situation. When deflating though it is beefical to lie on the mat the get excess air out. also once in rolled position its benifical to sit on the mat to place compression straps around the mat to get it to the smallest size as possible. lentgh when it inflated inflated size 3.8 cm is a massive amount of comfort inflation time weight compressed size can be time consuming deflating and getting air out. getting back to a reasonable compressed size.Similar opinion?
