Lost of problems
Fridge not cool
Repair agent wanted to diagnose over the phone and told me I had the settings wrong
Changed the settings problem continued
Repair agent finally comes and replaces fan but says there was no problem
Fridge is good for a month or 2 then becomes very noisey
Call Electrolux again..
Noise is common they say... I need ear plugs to sleep.
Now have to go through this again.
Very unsatisfied.
Don't buy this model or brand!
Purchased at Harvey Norman.

freezer OK, fridge does not reach selected temperature
new appliance purchased less 4 days ago. freezer seems to be working and reaching selected temperature measured on a room thermometer, after 48 hours using the same thermometer refrigerator will not decrease temperature below 16`c,

Kelvinator 450 L bottom out steel broken down twice in 10 months
Kelvinator 450 L bottom mount fridge KBM4502AA-R
We Purchased our fridge on the 24/4/2018 after 5 months the fridge started to go warm and would not cool but freezer still worked. As a result we had to throw out over $100 of groceries and be without a fridge for over 2 weeks. Kelvinator replaced the fridge on the 9/10/2018 and it’s now having the same problem again on the 2/3/19. The fridge won’t cool and but the freezer remains cold. Again we lost over $100 of produce and were without a fridge again. It is disappointing to encounter 2 breakdowns of a new fridge that is under 12 months old.

Poor Customer Service
I purchased this fridge for about four months ago through applicationonline.com and the fridge is not working properly. I called customer service on Thursday 13/9 and the technician came the next day. The problem was with the fan. He explained that it was a faulty fan and need to be replaced but he didnt have the replacement with him and need to organised another visit on monday. He fixed the old fan temporarily and I asked wheter it will survive during the weekend or until it is being replaced but his answer were “I cant guarantee”. I’m 36 wee...Read more
ks pregnant and I have $200 worth of groceries and food in the fridge that I have to thrown because the fan wasnt working properly and off course they won’t cover this groceries under warranty service. The technician knew I’m pregnant during the visit (its obvious with my big tummy) but its didnt make them to prioritise the work. I received no phone call or email from customer service until I call them on Mon and ask what time the job will be done and again they said they cant confirm this. After three phone calls to customer service, the technician came on Mon at 11.30am. I went to Good Guys to buy a load of appliances when I moved house in January. I researched every item before I bought, as much as I could. The fridge was left on for a couple of weeks before I moved in without anything much in it. When I did move in, I would often find meat smelled 'funny' well before the best before date. the fridge was cold but the freezer was fine. I gave it the benefit of doubt and thought maybe the door had not been shut properly overnight; made sure the door was shut and left it a few hours, came back and still nothing was cold. In fact the tap water was colder than the water in the fridge (in Brisbane that should not be!!) By this time it was 4pm on a Friday. I rang Good Guys and told them the problem. They gave me the number for Kelvinator, which turned out to be Electrolux plus other brands. I realised then that when I had gone into Good Guys to make my purchases and asked their advice and they said 'we've never had one come back' - they're never going to, are they?! They fob you off to the manufacturer. Eventually the phone at Electrolux was answered and the man said he could get someone out to me on Monday so for 3 days I had to rotate ice blocks through the fridge but most of my expensive dairy free cheeses at $7 a block and cream cheese at $6 a pot (I'd bought several when they were on special) all went off, not to mention all the meat I'd had to throw out prior to confirming the fridge was a dud so I probably lost a good $100's worth. Not enough to be worth claiming on insurance but enough to be annoyed about. The repairman was lovely. It was very important to him I understood what the issue was. The fan at the back of the freezer was broken - without it cold air doesn't circulate to the fridge. He replaced that and another part and touch wood, it's been fine. He said basically it was a new fridge with those two parts replaced.1 comment

Great Value & Excellent Quality.
I bought this new one to replace an old one I had that was about 30 to 40 years old - give or take.
Kelvinator fridges are quality.
No fuss and they do what they are meant to which is to:
A) Keep things in the firdge cold.
B) Keep things in the freezer frozen.

Just bought the Kelvinator fridge today
I did read the booklet that came with it and after an hour after it was delivered i turned it on, left it for 30 minutes then checked it and no cooling at all, so i turned the cooler up, repeated this 3 times and nothing turning it up little by little but nothing, i will be phoning the Good Guys tomorrow.Maybe its just my luck i got a bad one :(

I did phone the GoodGuys about my problem and had a new same model fridge delivered the next day so a big plus to the GoodGuys and Kelvinator....thankyou very much
