Great value for money
I could not be happier with the cooling side of this unit it is very cold and having the boost mode cools the room a lot faster. We got 1 for our sons room also and he says its to cold lol. Unit is very quiet. Haven't used the heater yet as we use blankets and snuggle. Installation was not good as the guy at the Good guys gave us misleading information. Not happy with him at all!!!

Great value & power
This unit has been exceptional, its only 7 weeks old but it has got the job done during summer. Seems like it has more cooling power than the in-laws Daikin. My only complaint would be the the remote which does feel a bit cheap, with very limited functionality. The swing feature only does go up and down. You need to adjust side to side manually.

Excellent
The air con is really smoot and quiet. You won't able to tell that the air con is On while the cool air is coming out. The installation is great from the Harvey Norman man. The setting and control are easy to use. We have no problem using it at all

Lowest price brand name but still great quality
This unit cools quickly and heats fast, suitable for an average bedroom size it's the smallest size aircon you can get.
Quiet when running it has an easy to use remote control.
Good value if you want the cheapest brand name aircon on the market.
Installation cost by electrician was $600 including the necessary pipework.

Does the job.
Bought this unit on sale, so for the price it does a great job for being a 2.5kW unit.
I have a fairly large room and it sufficiently cools it and keeps it cool quite easily. The unit is very quiet and after i set the fan speed and temperature I basically just press power on the remote, so very easy to use.
Install was easy, took professionals about 2hours.
Main complaint is the vertical louver is manual and you can't control it from the remote.
So far so good, but I've only had it for 2months

Ok for its price
Had one installed in our baby's room and it's OK for it's price as it's one of the cheaper split aircon units made by a known brand. However when setting the mode to a fixed temperature (auto), according to the groegg, it gets rather cold when trying to cool the room down e.g. if we set it at 25c auto, it goes down to 19c. The timer off and on functionality has been useful though as its quiet operation.

Energy efficient yet cheap and powerful!
Bought this during Boxing Day for a good price under $600
5 star energy rating. Powerful unit keeping us cool during those 40 degrees days. During the week when hail "poured down" from the sky and it was cold, we switched it to heating mode and it did the job well!
Highly recommended!

All good so far
Opted for this compared to the popular air conditioning brand because of price but was a bit worried because even our installer was saying he recommends other brands. However we have been loving it so far. Working nicely. Cools quickly. Like the silent mode which is not as strong and quiet.

Great Unit!
Installed this to upgrade from my previous LG which was 13 years old and no longer able to cope with Adelaide's heatwave conditions. Price was great, as well as Aussie made. Install was seamless and completed within two hours. I find the unit very quiet, and it efficiently sat on 25* on a 43* day, and cooled without complaint. The remote is easy to use, with a well backlit display, large font, and well laid out interface. Much easier to navigate than the LG unit. The unit itself has a horizontal manual air deflector which works well, and the v...Read more
ertical louvres remember the last setting so when you turn on the unit again they automatically return to the last setting. A large LED display shows the temperature, and it can also be turned off at night, or use as a night lite. All in all, very happy with this unit, and our installer.Similar opinion? A waste of time and money.
So far I can only say absolutely HOPELESS. Installer has had over 30 years installing air con and had never experienced anything like these two aircons. ( 2.5 and 3.5 KVA).Right from installation they would not work effectively. Technicians thoroughly checked for leaks and found none. Then using their equipment determined that both units were undergassed with coolant for the stated pipe metre length. The gasses ( R32) were then topped and weighed in to specs. They then worked ok at an ambient temp of at 32 Deg. However once coming back to light...Read more
ning ridge in summer with temperatures over 40 Deg. Both units will only deliver ambient temperature.which is useless. Installer had never experienced this before. Maybe the reversing valve from cooling to heating valve is jammed. I have since looked at reviews to see if others are having the same problems with Kelvinator and found that they are now not suitable for installation in Qld. The I did not see this info before purchasing. I have already contacted Kelvinator about undergassing of both units. I will contact them again about both units being useless and report again on the outcome.3 comments
I recieved the token "We are sorry...." reply and have sent two emails back but still no reply. Looks like I might have to go to fair trading or consumer affairs.

Stay away from this brand, never again
Bought two units before Christmas, professionally installed - one is OK, the other didn't started. After numerous phone calls technicians arrived on 30 Dec, done nothing except mess in the house. Another series of phone calls and they agreed to replace the faulty unit. Today replacement arrived (12 Jan), wrong model and now they want me to wait again 10 days to bring the replacement and god knows how long to get theirs technician to do the exchange.
Kelvinator is owned by Electrolux this days, it is not the same company as it use to be. No service at all. I will never touch this brand again. Extremely disappointed.

Definitely will cool a big room
Very powerful and relative quiet.,
It's definitely the ideal split for a large room. It works like a charm on those very high degree days. So happy I go one of these. I also have Evap cooking - this is ok for bed time - to help you sleep - but during the day the Kelvinator is the best.
Very easy to use by remote.

Great air conditioner for the price
Bought 2 units. Installed in small rooms and they quickly cool both rooms. It’s difficult to hear the condenser unit outside when on: very quiet. It has a white LED display on the head unit that can also double as a night light if installed in childrens’ rooms, like mine are. The display is 2 characters in length and can be switched off for complete darkness. For the price, I think these are excellent units. The installer said to me that he has rarely
seen the break down when installed in properties powered by solar or off grid generators, wh...Read more

Very good air-conditioning heater is also good
Owned for around a year and no problems we have the 7kW and 2.5kW models. We find the air-conditioning excellent heater is good but air-conditioning is better. Reasonably quite on low fan mode and seem to be quite energy efficient as our bills are still low and we run a fair bit

Good aircon
This unit isn't too loud. There was a cash back incentive hence the reason I purchased this airconditioner. The functions are good once you get used to them and the room is heated and cooled down quite quickly which is what you want. Doesn't make too much noise and isn't too bulky.

Great aircon for the price I paid!
We bought this when it was on special on The Good Guys and couldn’t be any happier. It’s easy to use and in terms of power consumption it is economical. I normally use this for cooling as we prefer to use our ducted heating during winter months. We looked at samsung and LG when we were shopping around for our airconditioner but ended up with Kelvinator after comparing performance and price and weren’t disappointed.

Hi..i have a room about 45 square metres..what size kelvinator split system would suit it best?
Lillie Angelasked
I bought this model to install in our new unit but now it's built I've decided that it's too large for the room and am hoping to try and get rid of it somehow but I'm not sure what price I should sell it for. It was never used...perfect condition. I bought it 2 yrs ago from Harvey Norman...yes it's taken that long to finish building!!! I'm very happy with a sml floor heater...I think I paid about 800? Considering that it's never been used and kept in the box what price could you suggest or site to re sell?. Thank you for your time.
