Hi
I would love to find a way to convert thermomix recipes to the Kenwood multi cook. Does anyone know if there’s a handy chart on the internet somewhere? For example if the thermomix recipe specifies something like “Scrape down, add oil, cook 2 minutes / varoma temp / speed 1 / mc off” how would I make that in my machine? Thanks so much

The only suggestion I can think of is for you to use the Kenwood App and search for that recipe. It might be there under the same or a similar name.

Try the Drop app, which has both Thermomix (Tenina) and Kenwood KCook recipes

Varoma temp is 120C, so "scrap down, add oil, cook 2 minutes at 120C, speed 1-3 (I read somewhere else that it's 2 speeds higher than the TM) with the MC off".

I am thinking of purchasing one of these machines but am put off by the need for an app. My phone is for calls and texts and I like paper for recipes and instructions. Is it possible to use this machine without the app? My house is not so large that i wander around with a phone when it is just as easy to check the appliance.

Yes you can- I use it manually for recipes regularly. I really like the app personally, but it is just as useful as a manual multicooker.

If while using the wifi app and there was a internet server failure, what happens to the program ?
Does the cooking process continue to cook or pause or would the recipe have to be reset all over again ?

To be honest I am not sure, I guess the current recipes is locally stored on the device you are using (i.e. phone) so to avoid the continuous querying of data from the server.
If your home router would power off, before completing the receipt you will need to restart it, but you don`t need to start the receipt all over again.
This is just because the Multicook and your device are linked through the wifi network (WLAN) and you need your home router to do the exchange of data.
Internet failures are something quite rare and we haven`t experienced anything like this before, but if that happens, you can drop the `wifi` app and to use the manual commands to complete the receipt....

Yes. My wife has cooked some of her own recipes without using the App.

Yes, I make recipes from my old TMX stash all the time. I just adjust the speed up two speeds.
