Don't waste your money on this machine. I threw mine away in the bin - not even worth giving away. Very disappointing considering I'd had a Kenwood chef years ago and it was excellent. Thought the brand name would live up to expections.
Good looking but that's as far as it goes.
Most useless machine I've ever owned. Could mix things better by hand. Broke down three times, all to do with the sliding control. The noise level was excessive as well. Should have demanded my money back instead of getting it 'repaired' as they are ridiculously expensive.

Don't buy this mixer. It is the worst mixture I have used. You would be better off with a hand held mixer
The mixer looks good in fact it looks like a KitchenAid. My daughter has a KitchenAid and I thought it would be as
good because I have had a White Kenwood for 20 years and it is still going so thought this is a good brand.
I purchased a beautiful red Kenwood Pastissier thinking it would perform like my previous machine but was terribly
disappointed. It does not mix properly, the beater is too far from the bottom of the bowl so it leaves half the mixture
stuck to the bowl. I have heard there is a screw that you can use to adjust the machine but I still haven't found it.

Kenwood is a great brand....right....well they got it wrong on this one. The first cake I did was not mixed at all on the bottom. I had to mix it in by hand to finish it off. The second cake mix I did still did not mix properly, turned off mixer, removed bowl, mixed it by hand, put it back to finish in the mixer - totally defeats the purpose of having a mixer! I did do a biscuit mix which turned out perfectly.
The total downfall of this product was when I made a load of bread. 5 mintues of kneeding started to overheat the mixer. I tur...Read more
ned it off and let it rest for 5 minutes then started it up again. Within a minute it was sounding like a washing machine that was out of balance - turned it off again, realigned the dough then started it up again. The motor was starting to smell putrid so rather than blow it up I figured I'd finish it by hand. However when I went to take the bowl out of the holder it could not be moved - it was stuck hard. There was no way that bowl was going anywhere. I took it back to the store (Geelong Good Guys) and explained the problems with it and they gladly took it back - after reading the reviews on this website I gladly paid $14 extra to get a Kenwood Chef (they gave me a great deal) and I'm about to try it out...will write another review once I've given it a good run. My advise is don't waste your time or money on the Patissier - it's useless!! It looks good - but don't be fooled! Does not reach bottom to fully mix Overheats very quickly Bowl got dislodged and was unable to be taken outSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

It works, before I got this I roadtested the sunbeam cafe series MX8900 and after 2 new machines took it back to its place of purchase for a refund, read my review about them. This machine is so much quieter and the quality of the batter is much better. I have only used it a couple of times so far but I am 100 times happier with it than the Sunbeam. I had made a deal with the store if I didn't think it lived up to my high expectations I could return it for a refund but its not going back as my next alternative would have been the kitchenaid ...Read more
artisan which the cheapest I could find it for was $599.00 which is over double what I paid for the Kenwood. Quiet... Sturdy, mixes well however you do have to scrap the sides down like any other stand mixer. Price I purchased mine for was $255 with a $30.00 cash back excellent value. Might take a little longer to mix but it depends on the quality of the batter you require. Only the one bowl size and it won't whisk one egg white but really how often do you mix only one egg white. Two whites no problem, meringue was impressive.

If you want a good kitchen workhorse that does exactly what it claims to do, buy this. Don't be tempted to purchase a Sunbeam as even when the two Sunbeams I had actually worked (albeit very briefly) their performance was way, way below this machine.
Looks good, works a treat and good value for the money.
Don't dislike anything about this, especially given that I purchased it after very bad experiences with Sunbeam Cafe Series and its warranty replacement Sunmbeam Professional mixers. (see my review)

My husband loves baking bread. He grew up baking for his 3 siblings in an old Bosch. Needless to say, the power of this machine is simply not enough - smoke came out of it when baking a 2 loaf batch of white bread that needed 5 minutes of kneading. I personally like baking cakes. Made a simple chocolate cake and when pouring the mixture into the tin found a considerably sized lump of completely unmixed ingredients in the bottom of the bowl. Overall very disappointed.
Looks nice, noise level ok
Lack of power, leaves unmixed mixture in the bottom of the bowl

Great little mixer. Great value for money, it doesnt as many functions as other units however it has what most bakers need. Very happy with the product.
Quiet, reliable, stylish and practical

A very sturdy mixer which is so easy to use. It comes with 3 blades for various tasks so it's a good alrounder. It also comes with a very useful recipe book with about 20 recipes in it. Worth every penny !
The overall appearance is very easy on the eye, nice enough to leave on display on the kitchen bench. Nice and quiet and mixes really well apart from the usual 'bits' the blades can't quite reach on the sides and bottom of the bowl but this is common with a lot of mixers.
It only comes with one medium to large size bowl which is a bit annoying when you want to cream a small amount of butter and sugar. It is also heavy to lift so leaving it out on the bench is a good idea but apart from these minor issues, it's all good !

I bought this mixer, after my very old kenwood finally died. I wanted the same one, but i dont use it as much, so i couldnt justify the cost. This is a pretty good machine, the only thing i hate about it is, when i frist turn it on, it mixes really fast, just for a second, but if i dont cover the bowl, with a tea towel, or something, the stuff in the bowl, goes everywhere, especailly if its flour! But apart from that, its pretty good, has a good motor, that can mix some pretty tough stuff. For the price, its worth it
looks good, mixes well
When its first turned on, its too fast, then slows itself down

I love my Kenwood Patissier, it does a fantastic job & keeps on going & going. I had a hand-held beater for seven years until I finally decided to get a stand-alone mixer. A very good decision to make because now I can get on with the other steps of my recipe while the Kenwood does the tiring part :D
Heavy duty mixer, does a great job
Lots of splatter if you dont put a towel over it

I had this mixer for only 3 months but had to return it the other day for a refund. The mixer seemed to be great for cakes, frosting, whisking etc. But give a job of using the dough hook and your world turns upside down. I make pizza dough for my outdoor pizza oven, and this machine was the one to apparently make it easier to do the dough. The first time I used it, it seemed fine but the hook was quite hard to get off. The next time again after mixing the dough, again it was hard to release the hook. Finally the other day, the hook was st...Read more
uck on the unit. I returned it to the shop and explained the problem, and the sales assistant refunded my money gladly. I will be looking at the KITCHEN AID mixer for my next purchase. Looks good, Nice design, Good pricing Bowl too small, Unit moves around on bench top using Dough Hook, Mixer Utensils don't click on/off too easilySimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Do not buy. It wouldnt cream butter and sugar even if it was running for 12 hours. Thought I was upgrading form my previous Kenwood which I purchased for a $100.00 cheaper and outdoes this model hands down. Why this product is even on the market I do not know. This has purely been developed for its look because you could not say it was for anything else.
DO NOt Buy
A total con. Totally powerless and slow.
