Unexpected jem

published

After our poor hand mixer died, we decided to upgrade to a stand mixer.
After doing some research, both with friends and online, I had my heart set on a Kitchenaid, but after looking at both in store, we decided on the Kenwood titanium.
It won us over for the bigger motor, 10 year warranty, the impressive studyness of the parts, along with the smaller features such as the led light and splash guard

A bakers dream! Can’t live without it!

The Kenwood Titanium is the ultimate appliance for any home baker or professional chef. The motor performance is brilliant & the bowl capacity is great. It manages huge amounts of cake batters to bread doughs. The best part are the excellent attachments which are easy to pop on & clean. The food processor attachment is my absolute favourite as it grates, slices & blends perfectly everytime. The Kenwood Titanium is definitely the best & most used appliance in my kitchen! Can’t live without it!

Which bowls fit the Kenwood Chef XL Titanium (KVL8300S)? My mixer was kneading pizza dough and wobbled itself off the bench and broke the stainless steel bowl and plastic cover. I am looking to replace these parts and am interested to know what options I have. Thanks

Hi Elaine, Same thing happened to me, but the whole machine had damage to the "nose" and now I don't have a machine. Absolutely no help from the company. Their attitude is that you have to stand beside the mixer at all times, which, as you would know, is simply not reasonable. This is a serious design fault. If you watch the cooking shows they all use this machine, but theirs wobble too.
Anyway I'm sorry this happened to you Elaine, but at least you only have to replace the bowl. I would contact Kenwood to ask if you can get a replacement through one of their service centres which carry parts and accessories. Don't expect any compensation though. Customer service ends when the purchase is complete. It IS a good workhorse, but I am looking for another brand which is better designed. Good luck!

So many problems with this machine. First time the motor did some strange sound. We gave it back and waited for one month to repair. But the sound was again bad. Next the processor was broken and now we can't use it, cause kenwood can't take back this equipement. Now the motor stopped spinning suddenly and when it does i saw many metal shaving around the machine, dont know why.. And my guaranty has expired after2 years, cause i forgot to activate it within 60 days of purchase, and i throw away the receipt also. All went so wrong. I am not a rich guy and i was paying this machine for 2 years with by installment. Can someone from kenwood contact me pls? I live at Greece.

I'm looking to buy the Kenwood KVL 8300S Chef Titanium XL and have found it ranging drastically in price from different outlets. Are there old and new models with the same product code? I'm suspicious of the lower priced ones but don't want to pay over the top!

Hi Rosie,
I got mine from Appliances online last January for just under $1000. Be aware that there are some issues with this machine. One being it will wobble around the bench and end up on the floor broken if you don't watch it like a hawk. Mine is thus broken. second, the accessories don't all scrape from the whole bowl, so you will needto periodically stop the machine and scrape the bits that haven't been mixed.
Honestly, this is a very expensive machine and these issues shouldn't be occurring, but there's nothing on the market as powerful.

Hey Rosie, I bought mine on Appliances Online for just over $900. I love it. Haven't had any issues with it wobbling around on the bench or with it not mixing properly. It's definitely worth every cent. I love the size of the bowl, I can do small mixes and large. It sits on my bench and I use it at least three times a week. Good luck with your purchase!

I bought mine Dec 2018 from Appliances online for about $850. Haven't had the issues "countrygirl" has faced. I always make a double pizza dough in this machine which is about 2.2kg and it does this effortlessly. The scraper beater is provided so you don't have to continually scrape the bowl!
