Better than expected.
I bought the car for my wife and she has never driven so much since having it. It more than replaces her 2007 Honda Accord Euro in every way. It has all that's needed and convenient and then some. A lot of power, great handling, very comfortable and roomy, and the finish is superb.

Amazing car!
I bought my brand new Cerato Sport+ in December 2022 and took delivery on Christmas Eve. My zippy Runway Red is a pleasure to drive. I use the car mostly for commuting to and from work but have taken it up into the Adelaide Hills and my goodness does it feel good going around. The fuel efficiency is good unless you’ve got the AC/heating cranking during summer/winter because then it just chews it up. All in all I’m very happy with my car and probably will never go back!

Great car
Had the Cerato sport for 7 months,bought it when we retired,first ever new car,absolutely love it. Love the bells and whistles,and at 6 feet four there's plenty of leg room.

Best car I have had,Certainly Power to Surprise!
Best car I have ever owned, and I have had a lot even company cars, enough power for what I need having had V8's & 6 cylinders cars before hand Build quality is excellent. Just did the longest drive in it comfortable as,nearly 800 kms on one tank!,part city/country.

Love this car except ....
I have a 2022 Cerato hatch..love it..
However when raising the wipers to clean the windows I noticed that the wiper scraped the bonnet..I thought this must have been a design fault, as did my friend who also has a Cerato hatch.
When I had it in for its 15000 service I enquired about it and they told me what I had to do..I have since found the instructions in the manual ( bloody cumbersome thing)

Great little car
Bought it new and have not turned back! You get a lot of bang for buck with this little car, and it feels a lot more expensive then it actually was, almost like a German car feel to it. Very happy.

I got a 2022 cerato S with safety pack in Horizon blue and it just feels great to drive. Great boot size for a family, spacious interior, super comfortable. livers and is reliable and smooth, sure it can get a little loud if you out in on sports and floor it... but really why would you want to do that with this car? If you want sporty drive you should go for the GT, but for me I much rather have a comfortable drive for city and highway driving... if I wanted sport I would have gone for the Stinger... for $24K this is just amazing value and has the kind of feature that were only available in premium cars just a couple years ago. 7 years warranty, 7 years cap servicing and 7 year road assist also shows that the company will take care if you if something goes wrong. Some people out there may be under the impression that KIA make cheap cars of average quality.. let me tell you this feel very different. This is a premium car with a price tag that is just unbeatable.Purchased in October 2021 at Kia Dealers.

Probably will go down as the best car I've ever owned
We bought a steel grey Cerato GT Hatch on June 30th 2022.
Paid $31,500 with factory floor mats included.
So now we have 3000kms on the clock here's my likes.
Love all the electronic safety gear.
Autonomous cruise is awesome and the two seat memories too.
We love the interior, the phone charger and the keyless entry are nice.
The engine is great, we use it in automatic drive mode so the car chooses the driving mode according to your driving style.
Currently the fuel economy (accumulated) is 6.9 L per 100 kms.
The dislikes:

Great value.
I bought my cerato in April this year so have had a few months to evaluate it. On a value for money basis it's hard to pass up. Loads of safety features, front and rear parking sensors,reversing camera, lane keep assist,forward collision avoidance and an excellent sat nav system. It's great to drive and handles really well. Not the most powerful in it's class but four drive modes help. Highly recommended.

Great car, great price
Bought the new 2022 model hatch and am so pleased with it I’m now buying the GT version of the car. My only gripe is that there’s a bit too much engine noise when one puts their foot down

-Not my favorite exterior but still nice -I want to be able to use sport mode even without going into sequential mode. -Rear seating area could be improved (air con is weak, no charging ports, rear doors are all hard plastic) -I think Kia could still get more HP and torque out of the engine. All the -'s are little niggles that I REALLY do not care about. We do about 10-15k a year, mainly short to medium commute's with the odd long distance commutes. To prove reliability, every single problem we have with the car I will update the review to include. But I doubt I should have that much trouble, seems well made and quality is good so reliability will hopefully good. If you want a bit more oomph and something a little special and with a huge feature's list and just generally being a very good car all round for the price please consider this, especially over it's competitors that I have seen, test-driven.Purchased in March 2021 at Sunshine Kia for $31,990.00.

I paid 27k aud for sports plus safety pack.. I believe it's best value of money as it got fully loaded features like lane change control, steering assist, hill start assist, blind spot monitoring, forward and backward park assist, leather seats, air bags, navigator, posh steering controls, cruise control, 3 drive modes and much more to offer..

Been driving my Cerato since mid-2017 (2018 model) and it's been an absolute gem. Basic model but with the entertainment system upgrade (bigger screen, reversing camera etc.). It's a zippy car that really takes off the second you step on the accelerator, while the other cars next to you are still 'thinking' what gear they should be in - I'm guessing because the Cerato is NOT DCT/CVT. The speakers and in-built amp are amazing, you get better sound in this $20,000 car than most expensive cars with the exception of BMW and Volvo. The reversing camera is very clear with a beautiful picture and color coded lines to guide you. Comes with front and back sensors standard, while other makes only include back sensors unless you go for the luxury model. You even get expandable sun visors! Best of all, it's extremely reliable, it's had no mechanical/ electrical problems and no nags or recalls. KIA service has been excellent, friendly people and nice lounges. The only thing I can find fault is the ergonomics which Kia/Hyundai still haven't got right after all these years. The seats are not the most comfortable and the headrests are outright UNCOMFORTABLE as they push your head down and forward. This can be fixed by reversing them, but that can't be too good in a crash. There are no other negatives though, excellent car, great value for money, you get much more enjoyment out of it than most $50,000+ cars/SUVS.Purchased in May 2021 at Kia Dealers for $19,990.00.

The Sport + I think represents outstanding value across the board. The 2.0 litre natually aspirated engine delivery smooth and responsive power (considerable better than the Impreza I had it pitted against). The leather interior is very comfortable and stylish, and the outstanding 8.0 infotainment system is very responsive, easy to use and see. The car is soo easy to drive, a very nicely balanced 6 speed auto transmission delivers very very close to the ticketed 7.2-7.4L/100Km advertised on the sticker. It looks amazing in white, and even though I've not applied any tint as yet, it keeps reasonably cool, even over the 35+ brisbane day's we've had over the recent weeks. I'm still early into the ownership, but so far, with the 7 year warranty, the dealer discounts on the capped price servicing, the very reasonable entry price, and the very stylish new look of the BD version, I couldn't be happier. Cons so far really only as follows: Boot liner looks a bit flimsy (the part that sits on top of the tyre). I can see this possibly deteriorating? Boot it a bit fiddly to close, needs a bit of force, if you close it gently to catch, it kind of just bounces (but nothing you can't get used to) Officially in love with it, very much looking forward to years of trouble free motoring.Similar opinion? Hi there, I am not sure what Cerato you have but if like me you have a Cerato BD, press the page looking icon button on the steering wheel. It is the top left button on the right hand side of the steering wheel, it flicks through different pages on the digital dash display thing.
If you have an older Cerato it may be the top button of the three little buttons on the right side.

Is there a known problem with a body or suspension noise in the LHF of the car when turning right.For example turning at traffic lights and hit a slight bump or under brakes at low speed while turning right etc. Not loud but annoying?

My 2013 KIA Cerato Hatch on-board computer display screen has gone black and doesn't switch back on and my radio cuts in and out even when i mute or switch the radio off after few mins its on again and at the same volume and the same radio station i cant change any of my settings at all I also have no revers camera
i hope there is a way to fix this without replacing the computer unit because i don't think that has helped others since the problem still occurs
