The Little car the goes and goes..
After driving this car for the last month, My favorite aspects are the comfort and leg room.It is a smooth drive and I really enjoy how quiet it is unless want the little bit of grunt and witch to sport mode..A great little car that has all the mod cons.
Purchased in August 2021 at Kia Dealers for $24,990.00.

Entertainment System has Issues
I bought my Cerato in March 2017. The price and 7 year warranty were the biggest attractions for us. Great car to drive, very comfortable and economic.
However, we have had 3 entertainment systems so far. It turns itself on and off, extremely staticy phone calls (it sounds perfect on the drivers end but shocking on the receivers end), no volume comes through at certain times, the camera turns itself off in the middle of reversing..
Kia has wiped their hands of it and told me I was the only one in all of Australia with the issue. Blamed ...Read more
me and said I must’ve been doing something wrong or that it was all down to phone reception even though I had video evidence of it happening. This has been the biggest disappointment for me and has definitely put me off ever buying through Kia again.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Very good car for the price
Every 15k under warrantee..
AM radio not that good in rural areas. Don't use metallic tint. - Ceramic. Also I had faulty antenna amp. Warrantee replacement.
No ignition key light. Annoying.
Cannot activate electric windows when inside the car without key in. Your passenger left in car not happy.
Beware the lights don't Auto switch off, unless you remove keys and lock The car. Maybe a trap.
Other than that, a bloody good car.

The Good and Bad but mostly Good
Vehicle was purchased brand new last year. We were drawn to the 7 year Warranty, Full Sized Alloy Spare wheel and the list of features on the car including Android Auto, large boot and Sat Nav, Auto Head Lights and Day time running lights. Love the 15000km service intervals and the fact that its a normal 6 speed auto. Not a CVT. The car drives well and my daughter has been learning to drive on it and loves it. When we first got it we found it had a musty smell that was not pleasant compared to most cars but this disappeared after 6 months. We ...Read more
think it was the new car rubbers and plastic. Cruise Control can be a bit irratic and the digital speedo show this up so we keep the digital speedo off. The speedo is also out by about 10% according to Highway Speed Radar GPS and mobile speed apps. It is set too low so no speeding tickets alas this is out by too much in 2018 in our opinion and there is no fix according to other people who have complained about it. So we have learned to accept these little problems. Also because it is not a CVT it can be a little thirsty on petrol compared to others in the market. Overall its a neat comfortable car and we may consider to purchase the latest model in a few years because the updated inside interior looks like a Kia Stinger which is a very stylish looking car.Similar opinion? Great car bad entertainment system
Car is great to drive and has lots of features, great value for money.
The issue I have with it is the entertainment system. Have had three systems so far put into the vehicle. Phone calls are really fuzzy and distorted to the person receiving the call, yet the person in the car hears nothing wrong. The system sometimes won't turn on and at times the radio has no sound. The entertainment system only comes with a three year warranty, the rest of the vehicle is seven years.
Customer service to help us fix the issue is pretty much non existent. They keep saying is a fault with our phones or signals, never mind both my wife and I have bought new phones and driven different routes to prove this theory wrong.

Best Value Money Can Buy
We minimised our car options and test drove the Mazda 3, Hyundai I30, Toyota Corolla, and the KIA Cerato as we were looking for a small car to do some running around but also was big enough to do the occasional country drive.
After test driving all the cars we came to the conclusion that the KIA Cerato felt the most comfortable to drive and the best value for money. For under $25k we were able to purchase the KIA Cerato Sports+ model which came with all the bells and whistles, 7year unlimited kilometre warranty, 2.0 litre engine and a very ...Read more
classy looking car. We have had the car now for more than 4 months and do not regret the purchase one bit. For those wh think that purchasing a KIA is just a cheap Korean car entering the Australian market, think again because Hyundai purchased KIA motors and manufacture the two brands. In 2017 Hyundai and KIA combined sold over 150,000 cars which makes them the second biggest seller in Australia behind Toyota.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Kia Cerato Service Gimmick
I bought my Kia Cerato Sport in 2017. It is a good car with loads of features which are not there in this price in other cars. However, I am very disappointed with the service gimmick that they played with me. At the time of sales they agreed for a maximum price of around 289$ but there was a catch to it. When I went after 1 year for the servicing then I got to know that its the price only for the first service then each service will have a higher price. when I checked with them on the capped price then they said that each service price capped ...Read more
but not fixed to an amount and that's their definition of the capped price servicing. Whereas other vendors lock your price at a fixed price and will give you the services at the amount only till the life of the warranty or the agreement. I am feeling cheated now as the services are going upto a maximum of approximately 487$. I am feeling helpless now. I would never go for this car again, if such strategy persists in KIA.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I love my Kia!
I purchased a Kia Cerato Sports Plus sedan and i absolutely love it! I have three children and I cannot believe how spacious it is for a small car. My husband, myself and all three kids (one who is still in a forward facing car seat) plus all of our luggage for a week long holiday fit! The boot is very generous. The touchscreen is a perfect size and I love my leather seats. The back seats are surprisingly generous with a good amount of legroom for the size of the car. The fuel economy is fantastic- city driving we average about 8.5 litres per 1...Read more
00 km. It is also so easy to park, thanks to the parking sensors and the reserving camera. It's probably not the most exciting car to drive if you like power, as it lacks a bit of grunt, but if you're looking for an economical, practical, nice looking fuss free little car, this one deserves a look.Similar opinion? Make sure you know where the Satnav is going and your speed is correct!
I cannot fault the physics or driving of the Cerato, but the Satnav, that's something else, it goes where it wants, sort of; we have gone wrong numerous times because the Satnav is so out of date and for a 2017 Cerato having an old Satnav software is bad! We are on the list for an update on the Satnav, but even that wasn't easy. When I realised the problem, I sent 2 emails to the dealership with no replies, I then emailed KIA Australia, and again, no reply, sad really as I always like things in writing as that is proof of contact, but they make...Read more
you do it on their Website and then there is no proof you have written. After much ado, I telephoned KIA Australia, they informed me that there is a problem with the Satnav software and it is a warrantee item, so go to the dealership and make sure you speak to them face to face. I returned to the Dealership and they denied ever receiving any email from me, but they knew about the Satnav and were waiting for some company to re-write the software, then my name will be on the list for the update no later than February 2018, so now we wait, and there's more! The Satnav has a warning about your speed, if exceeded it says, "You are going too fast!", but if only, this happens when stood, it happens when you are on a main road and you have just entered it, and it is constant when there has been a new road built and completed in the past couple of years. I wondered much about the 2 speedos in the dash, one digital and one the standard odometer; once driving up to Hervey Bay, drivers behind seemed to be a little bit angry, letting me know in uncertain terms, so I installed my Garmin, long my trusted speedo, and to my surprise, based on the Garmin, I was driving slower than I thought, between 5 kilometres and 7 kilometres, depending on road conditions. I asked the dealership about this discrepancy and they told me that this was done on purpose so that customers did not break speed limits, believe it or not! Only time will tell if the Satnav gets fixed, but the speedos in the cars will remain as is, though I feel that it well may be a good idea. However, please do not let this deter anyone from buying a Cerato, they are, have been, and I have no doubt will always be, a great car; my wife and I have talked about this in depth and we both agree, the Cerato is a great car, great to drive, great on fuel economy, and great on safety; so, by a Cerato and you are buying a good car that will serve you well and keep you and or your family very safe, but make sure the software in both the speedometer and the Satnav have been updated.1 comment

An update, this month May 2018 took my Cerato Sports back to the dealer, KIA's Rothwell dealer, said they would update my satnav, a real con job, they took my car at 11:23am, they took it and drove it... Read more
into a service bay, then at 11:55am, it was driven back and they told me that the satnav had been updated; well, I have a security camera in the car, so after the car was driven into the service bay, nobody entered the car until they brought it back to me, the security camera didn't come back on until 11:53am. On top of that, we drove it around areas where the satnav incorrectly had the speed wrong as well as directional test, failed both times; I had to be sure before I wrote this, so sad when a dealership not only does the wrong thing but tries to shaft me again, don't they know about security cameras?
