Sportage got-line great car
Hi I purchased a Kia Sportage GT-Line and I find that it is a great all-round car service levels from Kia Blackburn have been excellent and I’m just about you to go back for my third service with high confidence that everything will be well serviced the year of my car is the 2017 and the options are absolutely fabulous the car is very focused on safety and even my wife feels very safe in the car I would highly recommend the Sportage as a excellent all round vehicle and top marks to the sales and service team, I do think back and often wonder if I could have got another $500 off the price.

Bad service paint
I am so disappointed in Kia, i have contacted them many times over two years about the paint on my vehicle, it has some type of fall out on it ( this is a professional opinion from the Panel beater they sent me to ) After contacting the dealer and Kia Australia many times and told someone will call me back ( sometimes they did ) other times i had to chase them up as they simply didn't i am now told because it's two years old they will do nothing about this. This problem was reported in the first week of purchasing this brand new vehicle and many times after. Sadly i am now going to trade this vehicle in at a loss to myself and never buy a Kia again.

ATTENTION KIA OWNERS
This is how Kia puts some of its cars on the market. They register the car and drive it for a year without servicing it or filling out the log book. They then put it to auction where a shoddy dealer gets his hands on it. The dealer sells it to you as a Demo and puts your name in log book as First registered owner. You find this out when you take it for service a year later. Kia then denies owning the vehicle for its first year blaming the dealer for missed service. In my case Kia lied to me for 15 months blaming the dealer before I uncovered their secret. Congratulations for owning a Kia product.

Shameful cover up!
Bay City Auto/Martin Singer Motors, Hervey Bay, Stay away from this dealer, they told us that the car we bought was a demo and that we were the first owners. They lied to us, they failed to tell us that the car was a Kia Australia demo and that Kia failed to do the first service. Bay City then bought the car at an online auction knowing that it had missed it’s first service and then sold it to us without disclosing this fact. Kia Australia said it’s Bay City’s problem, Bay City said it’s Kia’s problem, and we are stuck with a car that missed i...Read more

Kia Sorento Limp Mode
I am tearing my hair out here trying to solve what is turning out to be a VERY COSTLY issue. The well know Kia "limp mode" problem goes back to the 2006 models and yet, 13 years later there is still no solution. I own an 2012 model Kia Sorento, purchased as an ex demo model from a Kia yard, and have been experiencing consistent "limp mode" problems over the last 3 years. Kia, nobody can find a solution. Maybe it's this??? $200 thank you. Nope, wasn't that. Then lets replace this???? $500. Nope, not that either.... Google "Kia Sorento Limp ...Read more
Mode". It appears to have been a problem dating back as far as 2006 models, yet here we are 2022 and still no solution. It is dangerous. Imagine picking up your kids from school, pulling into a round-about when there is a gap, only to have your car suddenly limp across. Brown pants time I can tell you.....Similar opinion? Werribee Kia please make staff aware of Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic)
A family member enquired about a second hand car from Werribee Kia dealership, requesting to know where the car was located. They received an SMS saying it was Werribee, which is not in their area/too far to travel. They then received constant calls and SMS which did not stop after contacting dealership several times to say they weren't interested and wanted the contact to stop. The salesperson responsible for making the calls and SMS was subsequently rude and aggressive toward the enquirer, saying that it cost them $50 when someone clicks Ca...Read more
rSales enquiry to a dealership (can't see how this can be true; they must get 100s of enquiries on cars each week!). After saying this the salesperson slammed the phone down in the enquirer's ear. The enquirer made an honest rating on GoogleReviews about this experience. Should have been end of story, except enquirer starts getting, within hours, SMS from various Audi dealerships about having made enquiries which they absolutely did not make. These false enquiries made through CarSales.com.au use my family member's name and number - same details as were provided to Werribee Kia by Carsales for the purpose of making that enquiry only - and a made-up email address. Werribee Kia please make staff aware of Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic). Looking at Google Reviews lots of people have issues with the same female staff member at this dealership. Not worth the harrassment and bizarre payback for honestly enquiring about a car but then finding the location is too far to look at said car. Enquirer beware!Similar opinion? Brake pads and discs needed replacing after only 27k
I needed my brake pads and discs replaced on my KIA Rio after only 27,000 km. asked KIA to replace them under warranty as it’s very unusual for both pads and discs to fail with so little km. but they refused to take any responsibility. Said it’s wear and tear and depends on the drivers. We have 2 KIAs. Both my husband and I have over 20 years of driving experience. And in our other family car the pads were replaced after 80,000km. KIA strives to present itself as a good reliable inexpensive car, with a long extended warranty. What’s the point of that if it doesn’t have a good service and the maintenance is twice as expensive and the company doesn’t take responsibility for it?

We are well-pleased with our Sportage
For a number of years we have been impressed with Kia's different models, and have noticed great improvement and diversity as the models kept improving. We decided that the Sportage was most suited to our needs. The sales representative at Ryde Kia, met us at the door and made us feel most welcome. He really did his best to listen attentively to all our requests and explained all we needed to know; definitely knows the products he is selling. He was patient, courteous and encouraging, allowing us space and time to discuss private matters about...Read more

Love my Kia - backed by a great service team in Ferntree Gully
I've been slack in writing this review - it's taken 3 years.
Purchased my Kia Sorento from Kia Ferntree Gully back in 2016 and have loved the car and appreciated the service ever since.
Yesterday (26th July 2022) I took it in for the 3 year service and thought it's about time I write a review as the service is impeccable. The service team totally on the ball. As soon as I arrive they walk out to greet me with all my details on hand. 5 minutes later I'm in a free loan car for the day off to visit my own customers.

Booked my Kia in for its 15000km service at Cessnock where we bought the car car. They had 2 weeks to order in the parts for a minor service. Waited 2 hours. Still nothing. Decided to leave. If u want to make a name in car business at least have the parts to service the car. Not a good start. My first Kia might just be my last.

Pitiful experience buying a Kia Sportage!!! Sydney to Newcastle and Hunter Valley dealerships
My friend requested assistance to purchase his first new car. He had decided the Kia Sportage Si was the answer. We went to the Newcastle City Kia for a test drive. All was ok checked price and finance deal. Ok They actually said come back to us if you find a better price. My friend went to Rockdale Kia and asked for a trade price on his car. Salesman refused to tell him the price of trade or price of Kia. Like WTH??? Called one dealer for vehicle listed in cars for sale but missed it. He told me there was one in Newcastle Lexus an AO Sportage ...Read more
for $26 990. I rang [name removed] at Newcastle Lexus about this and asked the price and rego plate, he said $24, 490. I wrote all this information down while talking to each dealership. Went to inspect vehicle and took trade in vehicle. It took two and a half hours of our time and as my friend was interested in purchasing the car we started the paperwork. We were both surprised to find the purchase price jumped to $28,490. How upset would you be at this point. I pulled out the papers of where I had written down the price and details! To be told I had mixed up the numbers!!! They were looking at me like I had written down the wrong amount. [name removed] told me he was used to selling Ferrari’s Masserarti s and Lambourguinis. He appeared to feel it was beneath him to sell a KIA. We were very annoyed to spend so much time and effort on a wild goose chase. He clearly said $24 490 on the phone. We walked out! Then we decided to Travel to the next one almost an hour away at Cessnock. On the phone [name removed] had told me there was Sportage that was available for $24 990 as listed on Cars4sale.com . While we we travelling to this dealership I rang [name removed] to see if it was still available. It was but he told me two people had taken it for a test drive that day. I asked if he had taken a deposit he said no. Still traveling we were 10 k from dealer [name removed] rings to tell me he has taken a deposit over the phone!!! Are KIA dealers using this as a way to get people through the door. Disgusted with the total crap from five KIA dealerships!! Why are they making this experience such a shonky slimy difficult experience??? No one wants to hear this crap any more. KIA Sell the car not the crap!Similar opinion? SALES AND AFTER SALES SERVICE
Bought a new Kia Cerato sports nearly one year ago from a dealership that claims to have won the best dealership for 4 years running. Also bought insurance from the same agency. Paid up front but did not receive any insurance cover even until today.
When I called the Service Department to book for the initial service, no one would answer. Left messages. No return calls. So I booked with another Kia dealership for the initial free servicing after three months.

My Car Play does not work and the Fawkner dealership lied (despite what they told me and what I have in writing). My car was driven offsite to a back yard operator without my knowledge or permission. I paid hundred more than non Kia quotes because I wanted Kia to do the job properly. THEY DID NOT! to entrust my car with this unconscionable operator to remove the unit. This is an outrage. I have emailed two of the very most senior Executives [name removed] and [name removed] and still no acknowledgement and end up with the incompetent [name removed] again who will not disclose his manager's name. What a rip off! Kia executives need to be made aware (acknowledge my emails) of this matter and fix it. Lucky to get 1 star!
Never have I ever dealt with such an unprofessional dealership! A female staff member with name beginning with [name initial removed] is absolutely horrible. I was in discussion with her for over a week about a car that we were coming down to travel 3 and a half hours to buy and take that day. She said it would be available for us so an app was made to come and get the car. Upon arrival she had told us “the car has sold” all while she had messaged me that morning saying nothing of the sort and when confronted with this all her excuses were “ oh...Read more
we had to open the car yard, you weren’t the only one we had to reply to, blah blah blah”. She then told us she could get us the same car in the car yard but with and extra $1500 on top! We were happy with that! Then she continued to tell us they didn’t have any cars that were drive away and it would have to be processed ! She nevertheless once told us this over the phone or through any communication ! Then she said we could take the one on the floor for full price of $12000 more plus we had to pay for the extra paint (you think they would waive it for the issues caused) but no! We were beyond furious with this complete and utter unprofessional behaviour and attitude and even at the end she slumped over a showroom car and didn’t bother to say sorry! From the start her body language and attitude was absolutely disgusting! We went next door and bought a brand new car from them and it was the car they were after. Their poor attitude caused them a $32000 deal! Do not shop here !Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Do not fall for the 7 years Warranty! Kia is a dishonest and not Trustworthy company
If you buy a Kia pray you’ll never need a warranty service or you’ll need help from customer care. I booked in my car a Kia Cerato 2017 for a warranty check up as when driving it, it’s becoming noisy. Kia Rosebery lost my booking details and despite my clear call back to them advising the car was only for a warranty check up, they decided to do a full service without my authorisation and the concerns with my car were NEVER resolved. When I went to pick up my car suprise I had to pay $480 for the service otherwise I would not be able to take ...Read more
my car. After many calls to solve the issue and Kia customer care telling me that they have ‘ NO RESPONSABILiY’ over service stations from Kia. The Manager of Kia Rosebery Mr. Meake said a cheque with a refund of half of the money would be sent to my address, however it never arrived, he also said he could not confirm what he was saying as my email was bouncing back, despite my confirmation over and over of my email address. When calling back Mr Meake to advise the cheque had not arrived he would never answer, plus Kia will transfer me to a lot of different people to get tired and stop calling. Mr Meake never called back to confirm I have received the cheque despite my voicemails telling him that I never received the refund.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Disappointed in quality and service
Unfortunately the 7 year warranty is not very useful when the wait list for repairs is over one month. Response to engine light coming on is to just keep clearing it. The customer service at head office was terrible.

Question: has this to anyone else re Werribee Kia and will you also take action over your privacy being abused and/or harrassment? Re employee of Werribee Kia - why would they harrass people and then break privacy laws by going onto CarSales and entering the enquirer's name and number (and wrong email, because they don't have it!) onto a whole lot of random car listings so that the person gets a heap of SMS messages from various Audi dealers and sellers. Luckily for the person that it has happened to they have family involved in law and criminal justice system, so the staff member - who it will be able to be proven made these enquiries, such things can be traced - and who broke privacy law can be dealt with. Please see Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic). My question is why would a car dealership employee go to these lengths, just because someone asked an SMS enquiry about the location of a car and when they found out it was too far to go to in Werribee they were constantly called, SMS, harrassed even after asking for the contact to cease, and then have their privacy broken to make malicious enquiries with their phone number? Would like to know if others have gone through this and would also make a report to first the dealership and if no action, then VicPol.

We have a Kia Sorento 2012 Model. We went over on our service by 14 months. We went and had our 60000km service and I mentioned a couple of things that weren't running too well. When I collected it from it's service the same thing was happening still. Next day the car had to be towed back to the dealership and now they are saying we need a whole new engine rebuild because we left it so long for a service the oil separated in the engine and it has clogged it up which is why it's not running right. Also not covered by warranty because we went over on our service. They may be coming to the party for the parts. But we are still looking anywhere between 3-6 grand repair. Car has been there almost a fortnight already. Anyone else ever heard of this sort of thing?
6 answers
Thankfully this hasn't happened to me first hand but I have heard the warranties are very strict. A friend told me that her oil was sludgy and that she was told that voided the warranty as if you were getting regular services that wouldn't happen. Tricky situation, I hope it all works out for you!
Thanks for the reply. I'm just so afraid of being ripped off :)
Hi Anne, Sorry to hear about your engine issue. The car warranty terms are very strict with the service history and that's the first thing they check when you have a major issue like yours. If your service history is not kept up to date they won't honor their warranty terms. You can try the wreckers to check if they have a replacement engine or you can get it rebuilt done from any other place. The dealers are lot more expensive in terms or parts and labour . You can get couple of quotes from different workshops to choose the right ones.
