I have a King Dream Sofa Bed - when I open the sofa the head of the bed (mattress frame) approx 20cm is raised by 5cm. Is there any way to adjust the mechanism so the mattress frame is completely flat?

Am I able to disassemble the Nimbus? I'm moving house and doubt I'll be able to get the couch out the door!

Hi Fiona, the arms are removable so once you have removed these you should be able to fit the chair part out of the door. Be careful not to misplace brackets for the arms while moving.

We are considering purchasing the King Cloud or the Nimbus. I can see the reviews are generally positive but concerned about the mechanical issues raised on the King Cloud. To King Living - Can you advise if these issues have been resolved? thanks

Thanks for your message MK1. As we design and manufacture our extensive collection, we are able to maintain and control the highest standards of quality.

Our in-house team of industrial designers and engineers are constantly developing new innovative products as well as improving the existing technology. Thanks for the response. We've been to the showroom and are keen on the product but it still doesn't answer my question about whether or not customers are still having issues with the mechanics. Please can you respond to this? Thanks

Has anyone had any problems with the neo modular sofa? We do not live near a store and ours would be delivered unboxed to N Qld. If there was a problem what would be the process with checking and fixing? Worried about the after service if something wrong after reading all these posts.

Unboxed !!! No chance
I'm still writing letters as I write this, to state manager who first admitted it was a manufacturing fault then blamed transit. You too will be a victim.

Don't buy King Furniture. It is overpriced rubbish and the after sales service is even worse. They will pretend you are the most important person in the world until you buy one. As soon as you walk out of the showroom door you will become annoying mud on their boots. Don't do it, have a look at Plush Sofas instead.

Has anybody purchased one of the storage beds? Either the serenade or symphony? I'm wondering what the quality is like?

Hi, the Symphony and Serenade storage beds are both very popular designs, they feature our steel frame that comes with King Living’s famous 25-year warranty.

We purchased the Serenade king size bed and love it! We have the matching bedside tables also, we are very happy with the quality and assembly by the delivery guys also. The storage is so useful, and bed super easy to use! When on sale, the bed is a very reasonable price also. We have had the bed for nearly 5 months now.

Any furniture stores reviews in majority are bad ones, it look like to choose furniture is a hard task. And I m not looking in cheap furniture stores. Would like to know, in case of many complains is company actually trying to fix existing production problems?

Ingfa, These are good questions. First you must bear in mind that complaints on Product Review sites represent only a tiny proportion of customers, the majority of our customers are very happy indeed with their King Living choices. Our large base of satisfied customers tell their friends about us, which is why we have grown into a successful family furniture business. Your second question is important. Problems can occur in any business but King Living is very different to ordinary furniture retailers because we design, manufacture and sell our sofas. If a problem arises we take full responsibility to track down the cause and correct the problem. We can do that because they are our own designs which makes us unique amongst furniture retailers. Alice.

I would not trust King Living to honour their obligations with regards their customer guarantee. They will not treat a customer fairly if they voice their concerns about a product. We have had to take our complaint to the ACCC to try to get some resolution. Quite simple, don't trust this company.

If you like buying problems and spending your hard earned money on more problems then king furniture is the brand for you. Problems with the kind cloud from day 1, and terrible after sales service. So please don’t believe any of the crap they tell you, all they want is the sale and u will just be another number in their history books

Wow, we spent quite a bit of time at King Furniture yesterday (great in-store service) and were so excited to find something that was perfect for our apartment. We were about to return this Friday to place an order for the two-seater fabric Cloud II. Having read all these reviews this morning, this is now not going to happen.

Hasn't anyone had a good experience with this product?

Do people only write bad reviews not good ones? Disappointed that we now have to start a search all over again.

To: King Furniture Official
Please inform the group of the number of King Cloud II lounges sold to date, and the number of individual units sold.
This will allow the group to see how many units are out there, I own 5 units in two lounges, and have trouble with three (waiting for second round of repairs tomorrow).
I feel the iceberg may be upside down, being that there are more with faults than without, but the numbers will show whether your iceberg analogy is correct.
The NSU Ro80 was a unique design, but mechanically flawed, it was the last car NSU made.

Despite very polite responses from King furniture, we are not happy with the exceedingly expensive King Cloud lounges (2) we have purchased. They are nowhere near as comfortable as the display item. The recliner headrest is quite loose and the leather is fading in places. The lounge cost $8K - is 2 years old and is on its way out the door. Never again would we purchase a King furniture product. A lounge with this price tag is supposedly an investment for many years. Not this one. Our previous leather recliners were part of the family for fifteen years and have found a new family to love them. Still going strong.

To Alice aka King Furniture Official - firstly, what an irresponsible, thoughtless and offensive response to the question!

Secondly, beware of "icebergs" - they sank the unsinkable Titanic. To dismiss them in this way does nothing positive for King's reputation and only magnifies your/their disregard for King Living customers. I myself am one of your "icebergs" and I can see that your responses to your other (very numerous) icebergs have been as empty as the experiences that created the icebergs in the first place. There is no point saying "Please PM me your contact details so it can be followed up" when you don't follow up and weeks later the icebergs update their reviews that it is still not resolved. Blah, blah, blah - get off your high horse and start fixing these complaints. I have done everything in my power to get King Living to make restitution to me and I have given up. I do not wish for you to get in touch with me with more empty apologies and thanks to your offensive comment it would take a LOT more to restore my faith in King Living than I would have originally settled for. I have posted my review to appease my conscience and make good my promise to make sure other people do not fall victim to King Living. Actually, on second thought, the term iceberg is appropriate because for every iceberg that appears on this site there are probably at least 100 icebergs that have not gone public on their experience so the true extent of the problem is exponentially larger than it appears on the surface - just like an iceberg looks much smaller than it really is. And by the way, you have used that metaphor completely incorrectly. An iceberg below the surface is made up of exactly the same thing as that which is visible above, so using an iceberg to describe two opposing things just shows your lack of intelligence and perhaps even a subconscious lack of conviction on your part of your response. You silly, silly girl - you shouldn't be in a public role.
