Very good so far, but why is the old lid still supplied?

published

I am really happy with my purchase thus far, but the lid is dire, with water and food getting caught-up in its workings.... Please KitchenAid Australia, send me the updated lid and I'll happily endorse this product, which sits alongside my Multi-Cooker....... Perhaps KitchchenAid if you simply sent a new lid to customers upon their warranty registration you would get a 10 out of 10.....

Incredible appliances, except for the piercing coil whine

published

In short, this device has replaced traditional cooking for me. All I need to do is quarter or rough-chop larger ingredients, combine in the bowl, and hit a couple buttons. 30-75 minutes later I have 4-5 servings of delicious curry, stew, chili, tagine, coq au vin, even desserts like bread pudding. Yes, I've made all these and others, with uniform success.

Why didn't I give it five stars? This device is LOUD. While the stirring and simmering is fairly quiet, my complaint lies with the piercing, high pitched whine this device emits. It's nearly supersonic and headache-inducingly loud. The only thing I can compare it to is the 'coil whine' you hear when a computer power supply is going bad.

Does anyone else get the message “lid open” and it stops when the lid is not open. What causes this and how do you fix it?

If I jiggle mine up or down, it seems to fix it.

Do you pick up the whole machine? Does this seriously work?

I just click the lid clips again as sometimes they do not totally click into place

Im trying to decide between the thermomix and cook processor and im leaning towards the cook processor however there seems to be limited online recipes compared to the thermomix. Where does everyone get their recipes from and can you use recipes you already have for example currys i cook in my slow cooker, can i use the same recipe in my cook processor??

Hi Melly, we have an app which you can download, and you can view the website here; http://cookprocessor.kitchenaid.com.au/recipes
There is a manual setting which allows you do cook your favourite recipes, we have demonstrations which you can go and see in store the Cook Processor in action. There are lots of people who have blogs dedicated to the Cook Processor for more inspiration. As well as a great 'unofficial' Facebook group called KitchenAid Cook Processor Australia (Unofficial) that might be worth you asking questions about recipes and how to convert existing recipes really easily. We also have our resident foodie who sits within the group and answers questions. Take a look as this may help a bit!
If you have any other questions, we are happy to help. Kind Regards, The KitchenAid Team
