Is there a bowl scraper whipping accessory for KSM170
A stainless bowl and pour cover that will fit the stainless bowl.
1 answer
I got a pour cover with my KSM160 and it seems a little big for the large stainless steel bowl so I suppose the one you can purchase from KitchenAid would fit. I know the beating attachment has a scraper on it that you can purchase, not sure if it comes with the KSM170. I didn’t get it with my KSM160

Your best bet would be to call Myer Highpoint the phone number is 0386097510 and ask for the lady in charge of mixers.
Sorry I cant remember her name. Her wealth of knowledge on kitchenaid products is remarkable.
Sorry, I really don’t know. You can ask the retailer. They can help.
No it won’t. Kitchenaid have yet to make one suitable for the glass bowl.

I have bought KSM170 with 4.7L glass bowl. I would like to buy spare bowl preferably metallic. Which one is suitable for this model?
Kind regards
Marina

Hi Marina .. from looking at the kitchenaid website it seems that the glass bowl you have fits the ksm 150/160 models so I would presume then the metal bowls for those models should fit yours.

I have the ksm70.
4.7 bowl. If I purchase a 4.8 bowl will I need to change the height of the beater. Will the bowl of a 2.8 autofit?

Hi Tess, You will not need to adjust the beater to bowl clearance for the new bowl, the beater should sit the same in any bowl. Kind Regards, The KitchenAid Team

Can anyone give any insight as to which mixer to purchase between the ksm 160 & ksm170 platinum ? Also do the stainless bowls & pouring shield for the 160 fit the 170 ? Thanks
1 answer
Belle AKitchenAid
Hello, The main difference between the KSM160 and KSM170, is the paint finish and bowl accessories. The KSM170 has a platinum metallic finish, and a 4.7L glass bowl, where as the KSM160 has a 4.8L and 2.8L stainless steel bowl. All three bowls will fit both of the machines as well as a selection of other glass and ceramic bowls available. If you have any further questions we are happy to help. Kind Regards, The KitchenAid Team

I'm still a little confused about whether to buy an artisan ksm160 or a platinum ksm170. I'm leaning toward the 160, because I want the flex beater, but want to know which glass bowl to get extra (given the stainless steel comes with)? Thanks in advance
1 answer
My K A came with a stainless steel bowl. I then bought 2 extra bowls. A smaller stainless steel one and a glass one. I use Aldo the bowls at different times. I have the flex beater and it’s really handy.
