Thanks!

Just FYI, you might want to address the copy on this URL as it doesn't reference the KSM45 but does specifically reference the 5KSM150, 5KSM160, 5KSM155 and 5KSM156 models: https://www.kitchenaid.com.au/products/flex-edge-beater-tilt-head

The other link you've attached is less helpful as it's US-based and deals with quarts.

Speed Controller; Hello, can the speed control lever be used as "infinitely variable" or must it be clicked into the preset speeds ie 1 - 10. Thanks.

The mixer speed is adjustable between the increments provided. Please note speed increases by units of 2 from 0 to 1 then 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10. Please note there is only limited speed adjustment between each of above speed divisions as at each of the above steps it clicks into the marked speed position.

Hi, I purchased a refurbished Kitchen Aid KSM160 Artisan Stand Mixer of Catch of the day and in the product description, it informed me I would receive a 2.8l stainless steel bowl as well. When unpackaging this product Christmas Day, the bowl was missing. Is there any reason for this? Thanks, Georgia.

Hi Maria,

Thanks for reaching out. The only difference between the KSM150 and KSM160 is the bowl accessories. The 160 includes an additional 2.8L mixing bowl to prepare smaller quantities. It also is available in a wider range of colours.

Hi
KSM177 in Cast Iron Black.
Hi, I have purchased this model from Peters of Kensington website. May I know what the difference is between KSM170 & KSM177?
There’s very limited information available. I see the difference between glass & stainless bowls as well as paint finish but did not if there’s any other differences.
Thankyou

Hi there,

The main difference between the KSM170 and KSM177 are the bowl accessories and range of colours.

The KSM170 has a 4.7L glass bowl, where as the KSM177 has a 4.8L and 2.8L stainless steel bowl and lever. Both models have a platinum metallic finish and the same wattage.

If you have any further questions we are happy to help.

Hi there, I bought Kitchenaid KSM160 last week, because I am mainly making sourdough bread every week.
I was really excited to use it, but when I used it for making the sourdough, dough has came up the Beater shaft so many times, so I push down the dough every seconds..Is it normal or not normal??
This movement made me little bit upset..
I wasnt expecting like this and disappointed..
I added all ingredients about 1kg〜1.3kgs in it..
I thought it will fit maximum 1.5kgs isnt it?!
Also it has been really heated up on a Motor head, when I was mixing more than 20 mints..so I started to worried about is it ok??
Thank you for your time, I look forwards to hearing from you soon.

Yours sincerely,

Hi Kitty, I’m sorry to hear this! Are you using the bigger bowl? I was making a pavlova the other day & when I was eating the egg whites, this also crept up above the attachment. I just assumed I had too much in the bowl. I was using the large bowl too. My motor does not get hot at all. If I were you I’d be in touch with the seller of your mixer regarding it getting hot. I hope you do get positive results. I’d be interested to hear your outcome regarding the mixture creeping up above the attachment though. Regards, Sheree.

Hi Julie not sure but when I was checking them out the only difference I could see was that the dearer ones had an additional glass bowl - the motor size was the same. Maybe the 170 has a larger bowl? From memory there was a mini version with smaller motor, then two other versions both with a stainless steel bowl and one had an extra glass bowl. The motor and bowl size was the same. Hope that helps :-)
