One pot cooking, less TIME & ELECTRICITY
Where has this been all my life. As others have said the manual is pretty hopeless But with You Tube, the Internet & being guided by the recipes in the manual, I have cooked some beautiful meals, both pressure cooker method & slow cooker. This is one pot cooking, cleaning, less TIME, ELECTRICITY - Luv it

More recipes please!
After hours of reading the manual and trying to understand how to use this appliance, I have made two delicious meals from the five recipes in the user manual. The User Manual is NOT user friendly. Eleven of the fourteen pages of the manual, describe the specifications of the appliance, which is very repetitious and confusing. There is very little reference to cooking use, apart from a ratio of water to rice and the water level for steaming p6. Also a useless table of default cooking times for each cooking mode with no mention of weight, qua...Read more
ntity, or liquid P5. There are only three pages with five recipes to follow. It really needs some more general, basic cooking information and recipes for the buyer to practice and through experience learn how to cook with the appliance.Purchased in May 2021 at Kmart Retail Stores.

Instant food at an affordable price
My mom purchased this when she was helping me out after I gave birth. She was using it all day long, cooking our lunches and dinners in this pot. We previously used a slow cooker which required much more time, which required more planning. With the pressure cooker (or instant pot as we call it) we can cook 3 different meals a day. Easy to use too. I've always been wary of pressure cookers, as my mom has a stove top pressure cooker that would make loud hissing sounds. This one is silent!
One con is probably the product manual - poorly written. I'm also not sure about the energy consumption but it's probably better than the slow cooker.

Hi is the the pressure regulator valve supposed to be loose?
2 answers
The valve is loose when there is not pressure inside. Once the pressure builds up the valve will not move. If you try to move it you will hear and see steam escaping. DON'T touch the valve during cooking. Once the pressure has reduced you will notice it can be moved without and sound.
