Motor Burned Out in Less Than Three Months
I have had to replace three Anko branded blenders in under a year because of burnt-out motors or malfunctioning control panels. Anko branded blenders are not built to last. My latest replacement started giving off a burning rubber smell after two months of use and two weeks later it was totally dead. I used the blender once a day to make a smoothie for my child for breakfast and even thaw the frozen mango pieces in the microwave so they are soft enough to be blended properly. No matter how gentle I am with these blenders the motors will alway...
Read mores deteriorate long before the warranty period expires. I will be interested to see how long the latest replacement model with the thick glass jar lasts and will publish another review on its function and longevity.Purchased in March 2021 at Kmart Retail Stores for $59.
This Blender Does Not Crush Ice - False Claim & False Advertising
The Kmart Anko Stainless Steel blender only accomplishes a very basic function: it blends & whisks. It does not crush ice!! The only reason I purchased this appliance was for that function. It clearly states "Ice crushing function" but their claim is false. I tried 10 cubes initially - but then tried 7 then 5 then 3!!! Nothing!!! They just reduce in size a bit. So sick of these companies taking advantage of customers & blatantly lying to us!! Shameful!!

Current model is noisier, struggles to blend frozen fruit at 500ml. Previous model was far superior. I will return item.
Previous model with 6 blades could blend frozen fruit and liquid when filled to 1250ml. Current blender struggles to blend when only filled 500ml. Also it has only 4 blades.
Purchased in April 2021 for $29.
3 months - then motor burnt out
Received (as a requested gift) blender in mid Dec 2020 - used daily for smoothies - LOVED IT. This week, I added chickpeas to the blender to make hummus, with a cup of oil (so there was liquid) and the motor burnt out trying to blend COOKED CHICKPEAS with a cup of oil and the juice of a lemon?!
I don't have receipt as proof of purchase to take back - Pretty dissapointed
Purchased in December 2020 at Kmart Retail Stores for $29.

Did the job
Did the job, however with thicker blends it tends to leave the top unstirred. Went to wash it one morning and the hot water made it explode. Probably my own error but just a warning
