Good effect, bit noisy
While most fans have a pretty measly output, I was really impressed with the power of this one. As a result, it was a little noisy, but I guess that comes with the type of fan. I enjoy its compactness as well, it fit in my room easily, and the cord was long enough.
You get what you want
Knowing the type of fan i was purchasing, I knew the noise would be loud, however this is compensated by a satisfactory amount of output. Power over Comfort is definitely the way to look at this fan. Functions wise, it was relatively basic, but thats what you want with this type of fan.
Decent Fan Moves a lot of Air
The fan itself is fine, the cord is long enough so it can be placed appropriately and it moves a decent amount of air around a room. I find the high setting to be unbearably noisy and can not use it on high, the lower settings are ok however if noise is a problem for you at night and you want a lot of air to be moved you might be better served purchasing something a little more expensive.
Worked well for a year, then started slowing down
The fan functioned very well for the first year, provided an excellent amount of wind for the size of the fan. Perfect for cooling you down in the hot Australian weather. It was loud but it did its job. However after a year it started slowing down and sometimes stopped. Had to replace it.
Has been great for summer
Wanting to keep my energy bills down this summer, I thought if I got a powerful fan I would run my air conditioning less. This cheapie fan from Kmart has been perfect. While it's no air conditioner, the high velocity of this fan at full blast really does help with cooling my apartment down. It can be noisy, but it's to be expected. I don't really like the chrome look of the fan (would prefer white), but really for the price you can't go wrong. You just need to expect a lot of wind!
A bit loud, but very strong
Just like most others, I found this current summer a little too much, and needed a new cheap fan. Finally settled on this one from Kmart as it was only 50$, and took up a small amount of space.
Very surprised by it's speed and power. No rattling noise that usually comes with other powerful fans, so can recommend this for nights and sleep even though it's loud enough it's not an annoying noise.
Awesome. It has seen us through the hot days.
I found this fan quite adequate for these recent hot days, which is hard considering it is Queensland. I leave it on overnight and the gentle whirring sends me to sleep like a baby. I like the chrome look. Overall, I would definitely recommend this fan to my family and friends.
This is great for the store I run and circulates the air in the room efficiently and quickly. It's portability is a great selling point and its noise level compared to other fans its price is very quiet. Another good point is how there is no assembly required and the many levels it can be adjusted to. Wonderful for how much it is!!
During the summer having the aircon on can be very costly so we went on looking for a fan that will do the same job but cheaper. Most fans are for small rooms and dont do much this fan is the closest possible to a industrisl fan and is amazing for the days where it is hot but not hot enough to bother with paying for the ac it is a bit loud but is very easy to use
Very good fan for very good $$
It does everything you want it too, very cheap to run and purchase. Sit's on my work desk, and does a very good job at keeping me a bit cooler. Also is easy to carry if it needs moved and leaves enough room on the table for work space. 8/10
Cheapest and best fan you can get forget Dyson
We live in a hot house, so I extremely needed an item that would screen and treat the air. I like the fan as it is actually not that loud as opposed to a Dyson, I would highly recommend this compared to Dyson. It is like 10 times cheaper and makes the house extremely cool. I am pretty sure I only bought it for 30 dollars as well! What a absolute bargain.
For a budget, its good.
I got this fan to help move air theough my house. For a budget fan, its pretty powerful. A little loud at medium to high, but arent they all. Well pleased amd its lasted. For the price, i thnk its worth it. havent measure the wattage yet. Hopefully i dont get a surprise.
In the Sumner heat this us great
This fan packs a wallop settings are high medium low the high is great for during the day as its loud but the low is great for night time its also easy to clean. I also like to use in conjunction with my ac ad it helps spread the cool faster
This will be worth your money.
Ok.. firstly, this design of fan is not exclusive to Kmart. It comes under several other names and you might find it in Bunnings too under the name of Fena. However this is not the point. When I saw it in Kmart i grabbed another at all speed, here is why.
Firstly im, a refrigeration and air conditioning technician. The motor on the fan is similar in design to many outdoor split system condenser fans I have worked on. They are built well and they wont fail that easily. This is a standard split phase AC motor which while the same design as m...any pedestal types has a much more powerful motor. When i saw the design, i grabbed it. The frame work is solid and the base is solid. Not weak like the plastic variety's. The floor types are in my opinion better than pedestal types. Ok so maybe these are made in China, but these guys got the design right and for the money, nothing else will last. I have run mine non-stop overnight, it has not missed a beat. Run this on the first speed (of 3 speeds) and it will be more than enough, perhaps too much a night time bedroom need but well recieved for outdor and indoor. Yes its a bit noisy but then again with such large fan, high power, your going to chop more air. And its only around 100watts of power which wont cut into your power bills too much. All I can say is this floor type is well worth the money and will deliver more back than you expect. Its about time someone built something worth the money. My tip is that Kmart offer the better prices on this motor under their brand. It was just luck I saw the same fan design. For less tha n $40.. its well worth it. will last you folks.
Love My sexy siLver Metal Fan.
We don't have air-conditioning where we are At The Moment So I bought a small fan, Small Water cooler & This fan.
This was in The Middle for cost, $49, which I'm happy I paid but is the Most powerful. It keeps me content in the kitchen on hottest days & kept on an extension lead is great in the lounge as well. 3 speeds, Even slow is strong. Love It. Looks great. Use all time, had no problems. Very sturdy base, No assembly. Very Satisfied.
