I purchased Kogan Tv in late 2018 online.
Very disappointed. My add ons that I used on my
Previous TV won’t work. Keyboard and headphones appear to be non compatible.
USB and audio ports did not work.
Will be sending back as did not perform as expected
Help limited, Features limited, I expected more

Basic and cheap
The TV is worth the money you spend on it.
The most anything is that you can’t use a universal remote control of you damage your Kogan remote.
They use a different ‘signal’ and your forced to pay an unreasonable amount of money for their own brand of remote control.

Average Product, Need to Buy a Chromecast or Apple TV to use it
Updated comment: I have emailed the helpdesk at Kogan and if you add a Chromecast or an Apple TV to the TV than you can access Stan, ABC iView and other online services. With the Apple TV attached the TV works quite well, so I've updated the review from 1 star to 3 stars. Picture quality still is not great, but for a $200 TV is about what you would expect.

Old Review:
Meant to be a smart TV but cannot access Stan (has YouTube and Netflix). Worst thing is the picture quality is terrible. My ten year old LG TV is much much better. Will try and return this as it is annoying to watch. The price is very good but other products are better, would prefer a second hand TV.

Dead after 9 months. Kogan stalling on refund / repair.
The television refused to switch on after 9 months. Have to go through Kogan’s warranty process (can’t actually talk with anyone just endless messages back and forth). Because this television is in a rental property I had to purchase a replacement Immediately (not another Kogan - never again). I had the dead Kogan unit packaged up and it is waiting at my property manager‘s office for pickup. Problem is it seems impossible for Kogan to organise a courier. The first courier was mysteriously cancelled and now I am stuck with Kogan saying I need to...Read more
deal with the courier and the courier company saying only Kogan can organise. Kogan “help” desk has gone radio silence. So I have to pay for a replacement television while the dead one sits packaged up taking up space in my property manager’s office.3 comments
So the good news, a replacement is on its way. A refurbished replacement. So I am getting someone else’s faulty television.
And the finale... after going through NSW Dept of Fair Trading (and complete zero response from Kogan in the meantime), Kogan are standing by their right to send a second hand television in the event ... Read more
that the original is not able to be repaired. In a gesture of “goodwill” the customer service rep condescendingly extended the warranty so that I will have extra 12 months on the second hand unit rather than the remaining 2 months of the original warranty. So after 5 weeks, 25 sent emails, tweets, Facebook direct messages, chasing couriers, submission to Fair Trading, conversations with Fair Trading, we finally have closure. Anyone from Kogan reading this kind of understand how totally un-customer centric this is? Anyone from Kogan actually care?Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Cheap but poor picture quality
We bought this TV for my mum who is in aged care. The care centre only provided old SD LCD TVs. We wanted something a chromecast/apple-tv would work with, but didn't want to spend a fortune on either. The price of the Kogan 40" FullHD TV seemed to good to be true, esp when compared to other 40" full-hd tv's in other stores, and as the truism says, "If it seems too good to be true, then it probably is", in our case has proven true.
The actual TV is ok physically, and is very plain looking, sound is ok (for my mum) but the biggest disappoint...Read more
ment is with the colour reproduction. The colour are all washed out, and although we have tweaked the picture settings and the colour temp settings, the colours are still very poor. We have an open support case with Kogan on this, so I can't comment yet on their support. I do not know if this is indicative of all of the 40" full-hd led tvs or if the panel in our TV is bad or something. To set the record straight, we were not expecting excellent picture quality given the TVs price point, but neither did we expect it to be barely better than a b/w picture either.Similar opinion?
