Great Picture
Bought matching sound bar and 3D player to go with TV. All great value though it is very necessary to print out the instructions and read the book for all!! Picture clarity and color is amazing in HD. No problems since installation, all running well. The TV can get a bit confusing at times but once again "Read the Book"!

NOT HAPPY JAN
I've had my Dumb 3DTV for a year, and I'm amazed I have put a brick through it. Apps fail all the time, SBS onDemand and iView don't work, screen freezes up and unit suddenly decides, I'm going to reboot now, no warning, this the worst piece of crap I have even wasted my money on, I'd NEVER EVER encourage anyone to buy from Kogan.
I'm planning to get a Smart3DTV from an better supplier, Samsung, LG or Panasonic, in August 2015, and I will with much delight, throw my Angora from the balcony, to the trash.
NEVER AGAIN, I'm just glad I never bought the 55"

Nothing smart about it
Won't navigate iView sufficiently to allow the app to play it, won't connect to 10 play, won't play SBS online, kind of leaves me wondering what Kogan thinks I was going to do with a smart TV? Twitter and face book perhaps that cannot be removed from the non-editable hame screen. I thought that smart TVs were old news and getting one these days was a simple matter of plug and play. Yes it is a TV and I guess it is a cheap one, as for smart, it is a complete waste of my time. First and last purchase from Kogan. Would not, could not recommend them, description could in no way reflects product

Screen has black patch/bleeding
Not happy at all with this TV.. Was excited to get my 55" 3D so called "smart TV" ( dumb more like it) works as a TV should but forget about the Internet smart TV side as its total rubbish and you spend more time swearing at it then getting it to work. Even YouTube won't load properly and freezes ( I have no trouble on my WD Media player so it's not my wifi) I've had the TV for about 16 months and a few weeks ago it started acting weird and now there's a big dark spot or bleeding on the bottom right corner of the screen which will only grow I'm...Read more
told so yay for me..so I guess I have to get used to the dark spot till I can replace it with a known brand.. TV also takes a long time from day one to start up .. Don't buy these cheap agora TVs as they are cheap because they aren't good. I bought 2 so I guess my other one will surprise me too after warranty runs out.( hopefully not)1 comment

I purchased Kogan Angora 42" smart tv as it was affordable, but to my disappointment it is not compatible with iview or catch up tv. Had I known I would have taken up offer of good second hand tv from family at this point in time. Other than that it is a nice tv and works well.

Good value for money & Happy
I had the unit for two weeks and happy overall. The picture quality including 3D is very good. Sound is decent though I recommend external speakers. Good surprise is .. although the description says 1 pair of 3d glasses are included there are 4 in the box. The TV is full of features. WiFi works fine but note! wireless keyboard or mouse kill wifi. Hooked up old mouse in USB port helps to get around android apps. The only cons is a terrible manual. Paid $639 with free delivery (on special) - good value for money.
Quality picture and heaps of features.
Terrible user manual.

Nothing To Complain About
I've had mine for about 6 months. Love it!
Picture quality is great....3D is awesome.....and Smart qualities are more than adequate for my needs.
I'm never forgetting what a TV is for....to watch TV....and this model has not let me down in that regard.
For those that complain about Internet streaming....just buy a PC. It's like people that take photos with their phone......if you want decent photos...buy a camera!
This is great value for money....and my best purchase ever!!

No Home Network - Ripped Off
I received my tv 3 days before Christmas. Was sick of using 2 remotes to stream movies over home network. The solution was to buy a "Smart TV" and have it all in one. The network streaming function home share will not let me enter my user name or password to access folders on my NAS. I can see the folders, but can't access. Kogans lame response was new firmware. What a joke. No joy. 2 months after bringing the fault to their attention, no response. I paid for third party app to access my network. It only crashes the system an need to reboot. Ea...Read more

Poor excuse for a smart TV (or dumb TV)
I have had this tv since December. I had originally ordered it for delivery in November but due to 'quality' issues, Kogan delayed it another month. I have been using Android o/s for a variety of products for a while so was quite eager to test out its capabilities as a smart tv. I have been severely disappointed. The system is unstable (even for Android). Applications will crash after a couple of minutes of use (Browser, youtube etc). All attempts to stabilise them have failed. Worse still the DTV will crash. This will require a hard restart wh...Read more
ich means another long wait for the tv to startup again. Putting the tv on standby can also crash the DTV requiring a hard restart. My family has given up using it to watch media files as its too hard to use (even with MX Player installed- forget about the preinstalled media player which is rubbish). The EPG does not work unless wifi is on. Warning for those that own it, watch out for the micro sd slot as there is a gaping hole next to it. Miss the slot and the card falls into the back of the tv never to be seen again (from experience). The picture quality is average, 3D average and sound is below average I have tried raising support calls with Kogan but so far their suggestions have not been helpful. Their support is awful. You get one line questions back which after answering you don't get a response back.1 comment

Picture Blanks Out
I just got this the day after new years day. I found right away that half the channels go to black after 60 seconds. I am an electronics tech and know what I am doing, the tv is faulty. I timed each faulty channel, on the dot of 60 seconds, black!!! I have now read the above reviews and find that this fault has been around for quite a few months and there seems to be no fix. I have emailed support and waiting a response. I will NOT be paying ANY charges for returning this under warranty, the tv was sent with a known fault.

Logan smart TV not so smart
Big problem with this Kogan TV once connecting angora to network. Mine is WiFi connected. Problem is that the screen will go blank when it collects the EPG information and the TV is in DTV mode. The screen will go blank and the picture will only return if you change channels and return to the channel you want to watch. After about 1 minute, EPG will try to load and again the screen will go blank. Only way I found to stop screen blanking is to turn off WiFi on the Kogan TV, turn off the Kogan TV, turn off the power at the hard switch on the Ko...Read more
gan TV and leave for a while. Turn TV back on and DTV works OK but obviously you will no longer have any EPG information. I have sent Kogan several emails (24/12/13) and have yet to hear back. Could be because it's Christmas. Apparenly this is a known problem but no fixes are available on their web-site. Others say that Kogan have a patch which does not fix the problem. I also bought the BlueRay DvD player which only comes with AV cables. Unfortunately the AV input on the Kogan TV also does not work.(tried other devices and AV does not connect.) (Kogan Blue Ray DvD works in AV input on my old Sony TV). Kogan Blue Ray DvD works when connected via HDMI. 3d is good and picture is good Smart not good at allSimilar opinion? Not many issues at all for such a cheap price
Picture is pretty good, not sure about sound as i have it running to a surround sound system, has a nice design, boots up quick for a smart tv, sometimes it can be a bit laggy, wireless is slow (not sure if tv or my [censored word removed] modem) does pretty good on ethernet though an ad-hoc network (computer sending its internet connection to tv via ethernet port), lovee the fact it has a wireless hot spot, cant really judge the 3d as i do not have a 3d player or 3d disc yet lol, have had the tv for a few months and am pretty happy :)
Wireless hotspot, clear picture, big screen, nice design
Slow wireless, can be laggy, cannot use music player and internet at once

Smart function not working
Purchased a kogan smart tv last month. Price was the best. Unfortunately quality is disappointing. Cannot even get channel 7. More other channels don't work on some days. Today the smart tv function shows a blank screen . I used the smart function last week and it was all good. But without any reason it has stopped working. All other ports seem to be working. Now I feel I should have spent some more for a better brand .
Cheap
Poor quality, unreliable

Nice screen, big issues with Smart TV
The TV screen itself is very nice- clear, sharp, bright. The surround is nice looking & thin. It boots up very fast (much faster then an older 32" kogan smart tv). However, the Android 4.2 based smart tv functions have a number of issues:
1) The Google Play store does not work over an ethernet connection- it simply says "The Google Play store has stopped"
2) The wireless connection is slow
3) You cannot alter the home screen, so to access any installed apps you must go to "all apps". A navigation pain if, like me, you don't actually wa...Read more

Screen blanks, patch faile
Received brand new TV and the screen goes black after a few seconds. Called support, clearly a known fault. Downloaded patch and applied it according to instructions. Fail !! Still a problem. If this is a known problem I should not have received a TV without the patch having been applied. At a minimum there should have been an instruction sheet telling me what to do. I should not have had to call support. What were you expecting? That some miracle would occur and my TV would miraculously be OK, or maybe I wouldn't turn it on and not notice the ...Read more

Annoyed and without a TV
We purchased a Kogan 42inch LED Smart TV when it was on sale. We were emailed once we had purchased it to be told we had to wait 2 months for it to be delivered. Once the TV was delivered and we set it up we noticed a dark patch at the bottom of the screen and then the screen would just go blank - could still here sound but no picture until you changed the channel, it happened every 2 minutes or so. We emailed Kogan and arranged for a replacement, we had to send the faulty TV back and again be without a TV. The 2nd TV arrived with the same prob...Read more
lem of the screen going blank, spoke to Kogan to be told it had to have a software update (the TV is brand new, no update should be needed) after having follow every little instruction on to update it, it still doesn't. Extremely disappointed
After waiting so long for this product to ship, I was so disappointed with the result! Picture quality very poor, anything resembling movement had traces of blur, resolution terrible and what HD? I have been a long time supporter of this company buying very many tv's and other products, had to think about that arrangement from now on. PDF Manual differs from remote delivered. No instruction on how to connect to wi-fi, surely its main selling point? Sorry Kogan this one's a lemon!
Good size.
LED leaching thru on screen, lousey resolution, motion blur

42" SMART/3D LED TV SCREEN SHADOW
Received my TV today, Hung it on the wall, turned it on...SCREEN BROKEN
The screen appears to have a problem with the lighting and the bottom LH corner is not lit from behind at all leaving a black shadow across half the screen. DEVASTATED!
Of course no phone number to ring so have sent off an email.... Am hoping to a quick response and resolution from Kogan however will keep you updated. Would love to know if anyone else has had the same problem with these new models!
