Smart my ..... this is the absolute worst television and the remote is not user friendly. My remote didn't work from day one. The television is apparently not compatable with any app or programme. If I had the money I would buy a new tv but not everyone has that luxury. SO, I'm stuck with a lemon which we paid good money for and bought in good faith. The customer service is atrocious and not at all helpful. At the same time we also bought a 32inch of the same breed, it's exactly the same. They say upgrade.... what with, when the stupid remote...s don't work I have been in my own business and if I sold a customer a product that was inferior I would replace it as my reputation would be more valuable. Obviously this is not the case with Kogan. They don't give a dam about the consumer just turnover If I could give a zero star I would Please don't by their products you will be sorry.
Purchased in May 2021 for $800.00.
Good TV bad Information
TV after about 12 months would sometimes stop during viewing, I turned off and on power then all ok then finallyafter about 18 months it stopped. TV would turn from red to green light show Kogan Loading sign then after short while stop to red light. I had extended waranty ( you can't talk to a person) so I emailed, got a reply I needed to upgrade the "FIRMWARE" after a lot of playing arround all done I now have a new performing TV.
Now my complaint I am not computer literate I needed my daughter to help through the process, at no time when I ...
I agree with a previous reviewer that a class action is needed. I wish I had read reviews before. This would have to be the biggest waste of money in a long time. I have spent literally hours trying to get netflix to work only to realise its not compatible... are you serious? Other apps are slow to load if at all.
Now, it has completely died. Just like that. Ready for hard rubbish collection and off to buy a samsung.
Kogan, I will never buy anything from you!
The operating system is crap, the remove is unresponsive, tv takes 26 seconds to turn on and that is if it actually registers the actual remote being pressed. changing input is painful, takes ages to come up, ages to actually scroll.
I am not satisfied with the picture quality, watching football players faces are blurred. Dull colours
Speakers don't matter as I use external sound
unit has enough ports
This is the worst TV I have ever had, can't wait to get rid of it.
Kogan not so smart tv
Either these tv's are useless as far as smart tv's go or I am not savvy enough to work it. Have spent countless hours either trying to get netflix working on this tv and researching other posts with the same problem. Would have been better off buying another brand and a chromecast. Anyone got any idea how to get netflix working as I have had no luck downloading the app.
Sub-standard dumb smart TV. Avoid Kogan electronics.
Purchased this Kogan HD LED TV just over a year ago.
Picture quality acceptable from FTA DTV and HDMI Inputs.
Program guide slow and hard to use.
Sound from the built in speakers sub-par.
WiFi connection frequently dropped out.
Smart (android) system - performance appallingly slow
- many apps incompatible
Worst TV with extremely slow and poor support with no real solution
Not sure how smart but this TV is only good for watching live TV. Any other function such as pause live TV works very poorly. eg: If I pause longer than 30 mins then when I resume it starts from 15 mins lapsed. YES, my USB is large enough to record enough live TV or pause live TV. Also my TV does not update or able to check for latest software updates. As per the slow process of troubleshooting with Kogan tech I have updated the firmware and the version has also been confirmed with the tech but still nothing has resolved my issues of pausing li...ve tv longer than 30 mins or check latest software update. Kogan rep has been going back and forth with email (5 days with slow reply) for days now and the best they came up with is my USB drive could be faulty. Which cannot be true as I have tested the issue on more than 2 USB drives. Also avoiding the other issue of software fails to check for updates completely. Is it too hard to ask for a functional TV or should we just expect it to be crap cos it's cheap? Regardless the price it needs to be functional specially when the TV is still under warranty.
Picture is almost 3 dimentional
The picture quality is as good as I have seen on tvs that cost many times more. Speakers are not surround but the quality is good and can be altered tone wise to suit.It has 4 HDMI ports and other ports for older accessories. The remote is well marked and easy to use. I have it connected to the internet by bluetooth. If I bought another one I would not look anywhere else. Gordon
More than I expected
I bought this Smart TV on the recommendation of a friend. I expected to pay more than double for it as I had seen them in other catalogues. Many of my friends have other makes but all say it is better than theirs even when they have paid more than double the price. It is very easy to use with no hiccups, It has 3 HDMI ports, enough for everything I need. Sometimes the picture is like 3D depending on the program we are watching. I got a 5 year warranty for $99. The item was received 2 days after ordering and is still in as new condition. I am very happy with the Company and the TV.
This is the worst TV so not buy it they sold me an incompatible sound bar and TV has no optic fibre
Not a smart TV at All had a professional come to in stall and hook it up and he couldn't believe it either very poor bad picture no optic outlet can't get Netflix or stan hopeless Very bad want my $ back Do not waste your money or your time spend the extra and get something worth while
What a terrible TV. Never buy it or go near it
I bought this smart TV buy it is terrible. Changing the channels freeze, so called smart TV is not really smart. Navigating through the setting and apps is a nightmare. I finally found the Netflix but do not bother with it. Never buy this TV just because it is cheaper than some of the main stream models.
Crap! Just Crap!
1.For its quality its really crap! Quality is conparable to a tube tv, who watches non-HD this days?
2. I used a wall mount for this... with just 2 months used, the "supposed" strong wall mount screw holes bent.... i have pictures.
If given the chance... stay off their brands.
Unfortunately I didn't realise when I further purchased my Kogan sound bar, that the TV manual indicated (Bluetooth - Dongal not inc). On contacting Kogan I found that Kogan does not sell the accessories to support their products, I was told to go on EBAY. I found that extremely disappointing and annoying as I don't do anything with EBAY
Good size with a few problems
Initially did not work, required an update which came by email. Great picture now and good size. Channel changing with the remote supplied is awkward and slow. Very difficult to set up smart TV facility until I purchased an air mouse. Future sales should include the air mouse as standard. I can now watch Netflix, ABC iview, and SBS on demand. It was impossible without the mouse despite numerous emails to and from the help desk.

we purchased the smart tv was so we could watch catch up tv on ABC iView, TenPlay, Netflix, etc. The smart tv interface is terrible. The tv itself functions ok. But I would have gone withthe tv $200 less without the smart functionality and invested in an apple tv or chrome cast as an add on.

Bad operating system
Operating system is really bad. Remote control is not fully compatible. I am not able to cast videos from mobile and from you tube or from any other app like stan, netflix. There is regular error on youtube ( unfortunately youtube stopped working.
Not at all happy with the purchase, want refund.
Shame on you Kogan.
Had nothing but problems with this TV. Had to update the firmware twice just to get it working. You tube doesn't work, web browser doesn't work there's always some error with these. The media players interface is terrible, If you have folders on a usb, they all appear open so all episodes are mixed in with movies in alphabetical order so it looks like a big mess. Nothing really seems to work on it properly. They would not give me a refund but rather have me go through a million things with their technician to try fix the problems. Shouldn't thi...s be done by kogan before selling the tvs? The remote is a joke. It's the cheapest most basic remote I've ever seen. A kids toy TV would have a better remote. I don't know why I let myself get sucked into buying their cheap Chinese rubbish
Less than 2 years old & it's cactus
we have had this for just shy of two years and over the last few weeks, it has been playing up....not turning on, not accepting the input mode etc. Now we just have a white screen with the Kogan logo. We have called and emailed but no response from Kogan. For an item that was close $1000, this is shocking. I will not buy from them again.
About to have some serious surgery and recovery time.I wanted a smart TV for my room. The price was right. The TV arrived and with an extra wall bracket mounted easily.Programming next. This was the issue. No keypad in the remote.I put in my usual apps with the cross keys, took ages.Passwords,emails.There had to be an easier way. Then the weather widget did not respond. The advice was update the unit. All my work was wiped. The widget was gone.it was causing issues I was told. Then I tried my daughters wireless keyboard from her desktop.Dongle in,it wor...ked.A good TV for the price, tips, buy a wireless keyboard trackpad. It makes programming and apps like Netflix easier to navigate.Update when the TV arrives.Nice picture,HDMI from Mac Pro is very good.Happy so far,for the price.
Took some effort but it works.
Got this set running for a mate but it took a bit of work - stuff which is not at all covered in the user manual. Firstly, you need a microSD card and then you need to update the firmware. Secondly, onboard wi-fi is far too slow for streaming so the set needs to be connected via ethernet. Youtube 1080, Kodi and Netflix all run. Stan doesn't run as it needs wi-fi but thats an issue for Stan.
