great anchor!
bought in March 2016, stopped working May 2016 ..... returned to Kogan for assessment ... 3 weeks later it arrived back at my house unannounced .... called Kogan ... said the powerboard had been replaced ....
need I say more .... have not bothered to take it out of the box, has been hidden behind the sideboard .... our old 40' Samsung LCD TV, which refuses to die ... has been put back into the lounge ...
dont waste ur money people ... Kogan TV's and what they call 'customer service' is awful ... move on and pay a few hundred more for a reputable brand

Same issue. It doesn't move from the white screen with the Kogan logo.
Please my kaled42smtza doesn't move from the white screen with the Kogan logo. where can we find the firmware to update. Does it even solve the situation? This product is discontinued and not sure if there can be a fix for this situation since a couple of people have already raised the concern

Don't bother buying this underpowered rubbish smart TV. Save your time, frustration and money. Buy a known brand. Android is old and the system is underpowered, no way to set the tv to default load on start, you have to wait 4 mins for it to start. Complete junk do not buy.

You can barely call it a Smart TV
Let me start by saying that as a normal TV the unit is fine. It finds and locates the digital channels and the guide and settings and other 'normal' TV functions work adequately. My real problem is that I purchased the TV for the SMART functions. Most of the Apps downloaded do not work correctly including Netflix, SBS on Demand and other streaming apps.
I reported the problem to Kogan who stated that Netflix should be able to be used but some other Apps were not supported. I thought this was strange due to the fact that the device runs ...Read more
on an Android platform and the Google Play store allows downloads of many types of Apps. I'm not interested in playing games, but I expect a SMART TV to be able to stream programmes from Australian television channels' applications. I have updated the firmware, first via a web update from the TV, then I've later used a USB drive to update the firmware. So I'm lead to believe that all should be well with my TV, alas it was not the case. Netflix still will not stream programmes correctly. The wifi signal cuts in and out and I only get a few seconds at a time of a programme before the App has to buffer the signal. Let me add that EVERY other wifi device I own including other SMART TVs, iPad, iPhone, and PCs can easily access the streaming services from every broadcast provider in every corner of my home. The Kogan TV just isn't up to scratch and simply isn't fit for purpose as advertised. In the end I've purchased a different TV (a Samsung SMART TV) that, unsurprisingly, works perfectly in the exact location the Kogan TV was located. I will never buy another Kogan TV. Please spend a few more dollars and purchase a better reputable TV brand.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

No Support at all have been basicly told to bad your tv dosnt work we dont want to know
bought a tv from kogan in December, it started with an issue in Feb with the weather app that stopped it from working properly. I applied the firmware update as instructed by support that is where my problem has now started from prior to the update my homeshare app was fully functioning it was able to find my pc and I could watch thing straight form my files it no longer can find my pc. I first reported this issue on the 29th March now after a dozen emails and three phone calls, I still have no resolution have done everything that has been sugg...Read more
ested to me with no results. I am extremely unhappy and want something done about it. I bought this smart tv to be able to do the very thing it can no longer do after many emails and phone calls now find out it is a fault with the previous update that has caused the issue kogan can not get their software right. Have now been told I have to wait for a patch to be developed, are you serious? No also have issues with netfix iso app not functioning was sold a tv that clearly was miss advertised as netfix compatible and smart. I just want my money returned as they have told me a repair or replacement is not an option. Update so they basicly have no idea what is wrong with the software and don't care this is the latest reply Ted (Kogan.com Help Desk) May 11, 14:44 Hi Renee, I have had a further discussion with the testers and been able to test the app myself on a post-update TV. In testing the app, we found the IP addresses of network-linked computers and were able to navigate shared folders and open files within them. I understand these aren't the same results you were experiencing, and that you were having success prior to the firmware update. The potential points of failure in this kind of issue are many, and while the TV able to access both Wi-Fi and devices across your network through Homeshare, we cannot say that there is reason to believe the TV has an issue.Similar opinion? 43 Agora Smart TV
Only had it a couple of days so here are my initial impressions. It works well enough as a TV. I think the picture is very good and sound quite acceptable. Priced well. I'm not interested in cable services so I have nothing to add about its function in this area.
Wasn't too hard to set up without referring to a manual but couldn't find any explanation of the remote so I'm still searching for a "mute" button. I stumbled around to find various functions including wireless set up, connection to internet searches, youtube, virtual mouse, and re...Read more
alized without a keyboard or mouse it's tedious. Maybe the Kogan checkout should be updated to suggest you might want this and why. If you want to use it more as a computer you should definitely buy a keypad. As I only have wireless services with a limited data download I have concerns as to whether I can turn off updates and if this thing will want to suddenly download a new operating system and give me billshock. No obvious information on this included. My last TV was an LG and though not SMART, had many connection points including optical digital, rca and hdmi. Kogan has not included rca or optical digital so some adapters are required. Headphone connection is not good.Possibly defective, Mini plug hole is the only option which seems to work ok with my mobile phone earphones. The supplied mini into 3 rca female adapter (audio and video) didn't give a clear signal. My wife works early and if I want to use the tv at night I need headphones, so this is annoying not to have a simple solution. Problem of buying online is you don't see these details easily. I want to connect it to wireless headphones which have RCA connections. No RCA connector points in or out. This means my DVD player is now also extinct without finding some kind of adapter rca to hdmi which may or may not work?? Thinking I could connect some external speakers. No optical out or rca cable out. There is digital coaxial out. I have to buy a cable to see if that works. I was keen to see if I can get my mobile phone to share its screen. Downloaded the software into my phone and haven't got it to work. Hoping it would be something like Google Chromecast usb plug in device but without having to buy the peripheral device. If I can screen share with my phone I can use the tv efficiently in my music tuition business. Doesn't seem like it is going to work. I don't have a router as I just have wireless services which are mobile hotspots. Maybe I need a router but at this point I'm just confused. So I am in the market for another tv for my office music tution business but I am not certain if this will be another Kogan at this point. If the product lasts I guess I won't be too upset, As there are many complaints on this review site about breakdowns I am slightly nervous.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Do not purchase a Kogan TV
I have had this "smart tv" for just under 2 months and it has not functioned as a smart tv for approx 30% of that time. First time was out for a week because of the system launcher crashing and now you cannot update google system because of an error on the system updater meaning most google funtions wont work properly. After having had enough of the excuses from customer service, I requested a refund on live chat to which they confirmed the return details and said they would send out by email confirmation details of pick up and packaging requi...Read more
rements etc. When the email was received they "referred the case to a senior technician" and will get back to me in 3-5 business days, not the refund/return as promised. Very disappointing customer service as it would appear they agree to anything to get you off live chat customer support. It is fair to say that I would not recommend using Kogan nor shall I ever again.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Extremely slow.
Brought the 49" Smart Agora TV and have tried it for almost two days now and want to return it.
While the picture quality is decent the TV itself is extremely slow. With just 600mb of RAM (300 used just by the OS) it gets extremely slow when trying to watch anything like YouTube/Netflix. You must continually clear your memory otherwise it lags considerably. The entire apps process is almost painful to endure. The entire point behind a smart tv is to be able to use these things nice and easily.
The bezel also looks heinous. The top and bot...Read more
tom bezel is silver and the side bezels are black. But now im just kinda nitpicking. If you are looking for a general TV, for $600 it would do the job fine. The picture is good, sound is good. However, if you were just after a 1080p HD TV, you could find one better for a similar price. If you are after a Smart TV, i would try out some others first and compare the load times etc of apps because this TV just doesnt cut it.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Foxtel GO will not work on jailbroken device
Kogan did your firmware upgrade to fix the "Launcher has stopped" jailbroke the device??
I followed the link suggested by kogan - https://www.kogan.com/au/help/kaled43smtza-tv-firmware-upgrade/
As per the link, I reset it to factory reset too.
Because of ths I'd to re-install all the apps.
Foxtel GO is displaying - " Foxtel Play will not work on jail broken device "
This TV has given so much pain in less than a month of purchase ( Bought it on 22nd Feb).I already regret it not sending it back within 14 days!!
.
Anyways back to kogan, did your firmware cause this issue? Whats the solution.

Wifi signal so bad.
Issues:
- Operating system runs very slow
- Delays after pressing remote buttons
- The remote signal is not very good
- The Wi-Fi signal is unacceptable. I have problems picking up the signal of the router in the next room. Nothing else has any issues like this accept this TV. I've been pulling my hair out in frustration. Only works when within 5-6 meters of the router. Is anyone else having this issue? The rest of the problems I live with but this....

What a joke. Never again shall I buy a so called smart TV. I do better using my laptop to watch Netflix. Installed the app from the google play store and I have a nice logo sitting on my smart tv that doesn't work. Incompatibility trash. I don't want warranty I want a smart tv. Get your act together Kogan and get this app happening for Kogan tvs ..contact the app developers and start moving at techno speed not snail speed. Be a step ahead in the marketplace instead of 2 steps behind. This nonsense travels fast because I paid good money and can't even watch the most popular tv streaming in the world on your tv.

THIS TV HAS WASTED & IS WASTING LIFE HOURS THAT ARE IRREPLACABLE
I like all of the other complainants about all of the Agora Smart 3D TV 's have just experienced the failure to launch problem; and it seems the same answer is given to every single complainant in regard to the firmware upgrade which I am unsuccessfully trying to find at the moment: No TV - Wasted Hours of Life - Financial Loss = not smart.

de of the screen, however this was so slight I soon got used to it beginning of December noticed the standby light was not on and when I tried to switch it on TV TOTALLY DEAD checked electrical plug sockets all working fine plug contacts fine. So still under warranty what to do? well at 49 inches and no longer having the packaging anyway a real hassle to send it back, plus I would have probably been offered a replacement model: No way because on top of this problem there had been an ongoing problem all along; which is that these TVs have a light at the front which goes out when you switch the TV on, but switches on when you switch the TV off. Therefore you are still burning electricity when its switched off and its a pretty bright light. Result I took it out into the back yard and cut it up with my angle grinder so it could fit in my bin. My opinion Chinese made trash due to no quality control or worthless quality control. Further I also bought from Kogan a Stainless Steel super duper toaster, and guess what again made in China, I have hardly used it yet it toasts unevenly, and it went into the bin two days ago. And I have now ordered a convection toaster oven from Big W 30 dollars saving (Which I checked was genuine as compared online with other retailers) 69 dollars 82 dollars including postage, so the saving covered the postage and I still saved 13 dollars. Conclusion I will still look for good deals on Kogan, but I will never purchase a larg and costly item again if it is made in China. And I have just purchased a Panasonic HD smart TV from the Good Guys absolutely rapt with it, and I may do a review later..Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Most Dissappointing Thing I Have Ever Bought
I am devastated that this TV purchased as a birthday present for my husband is such a failure. Despite resets, power cycling, reloading firmware etc - the problems persist! The Launcher message remains. At one point was actually able to watch TV and change channels. Next evening we were back to square one. I will be demanding a refund today.

"Unfortunately, the launcher has stopped" error that wont go away and cannot work on anything
I purchased a TV from you on 24th January and have had continuous issues - now I have this error that wont go away. I have done a factory reset and about 4 power cycles, your CS cannot help and instead keep sending me emails saying we are working on a fix. There is no response to social media posts and I get pre-drafted email responses when I contact your customer service team. Absolutely unacceptable. I cannot use the television for the purpose I bought it for! Where is the update on the situation seeing as obviously this is an ongoing issue with a number of people that has been flagged for almost a week now? Not happy at all.

Buyer beware! Faulty TV: Launcher has Stopped
Same issues as others however I have done a full factory reset, turned off Internet and I can't even use mine as a dumb tv. It's stuck on black screen "unfortunately, launcher has stopped". Can't access anything else! Including the DTV. Last night I could watch DTV, this morning, nothing. This TV is 100% useless. I will be having my bank issue a chargeback reason code 53 (faulty merchandise) I suggest everyone does the same.
The company is unwilling to offer I quick solution or a refund.

really bad
I only bought this TV to stream movies. Luckily does work on Netflix but none of the others like Stan or Presto work.
Remote is impossible to use you HAVE to download an app for another remote which is also very difficult to use.
Picture quality is very bad and blurry
Can't watch anything live such as the news THE PROJECT as it skips and makes crackling sounds. First I thought it was my aerial then realised it happened on all live shows
Koran please don't respond to me your generic replies are infuriating. Just don't false advertise and Noone needs to complain

So far so good
I purchased this TV before reading the reviews and was expecting a real lemon, however we got this for Xmas mainly for Netflix and Youtube. The set up was simple and we have watched countless Netflix Movies and Youtube clips. Quite happy. Navigation is challenging though! However the kids have mastered that part much better then me.

A Smart TV with limited 'Smarts'
Having received this Kogan Smart TV at Christmas, I was keen to join Netflix and enjoy the ride.
I was disappointed to be informed by Kogan support (politely) that:
"The TV has compatibility issues with the following applications, ABC iView, TenPlay, 7Plus, Stan.com, Presto, Spotify or Netflix, aside from these mentioned you are able to play other programs."
Not so Smart...

Hi,
Thank you for contacting us regarding this matter.... Read more
We can confirm that none of our smart TVs are 'rooted' or 'jailbroken'. Some third party apps may suggest this by displaying an error message as they are coded in a way to do so for all non-compatible devices. With regards to the particular app in question, "Foxtel Go", we have contacted the technical department of the app i.e. Foxtel for this issue. They have advised that the app is designed to work only on mobile devices ie. phones and tablets. It doesn't work on any smart TVs and they have no plans to change it at this time. They have also confirmed that app is designed to throw this message for all non-compatible devices. Please let us know if you have any queries.
