Sound and colour is very average
Have continued to play around and setup on many different
without any luck.
Freeview replays etc are very blurry even though internet is good quality.
and I have no issues with my other Smart TV.
I quess you get what you pay for.
Purchased in August 2022 at On line for $499.

Great TV for price. My first 4k TV so it took a bit of fiddling with settings to turn the 4k on and get set up, but otherwise pretty user friendly.
Only downside is the terrible sound quality. Sound has too much Bass and can distort and the upper levels are tinny. Purchased a decent soundbar and now I have no issues whatsoever. Great TV but definitely have or plan to get a soundbar or other sound system.

The Series 8 MU8010 smart TV is advertised as 4k but its does not look like it is, the blues are washed out and solid, oranges and reds blend and bleed.
Apple TV video stalls and is unwatchable, have connected same Apple device to my other Samsung TV and its works perfectly.
Audio is horrible and tinny sounding.
This is a very poor quality TV and ieatwords.com.au reviews put this TV as a 2.2, how does the Kogan website give it 4 out of 5 stars, suspicious!!
Its unwatchable in my view.
Purchased in January 2022 at Kogan.com for $600.

Not much to say on this.
Its a great tv for the price.
Light bleed is very minimal and the image quality is top notch. Not amazing in very fast paced action scenes but then my 2018 sony tv doesn't do too well in that regards either, and that cost $2000 more!
Sound quality is lackluster but it's nothing a cheap soundbar won't fix.
Purchased in October 2018 at Kogan.com for $444.99.

More bang for you buck
Bought this TV in 2018 for $600, was a bit worried about the quality as I was more into high end TVs, however it is still looks great given its low price.
The picture quality is good, no complaints.
Sounds OK but not awesome, you can add a soundbar if audio quality is a concern.
Has enough inputs for my needs.
Overall, a good TV that is worth your money, no bells or whistles though.
Purchased in October 2018 at Kogan.com.
The reviewer stated that an incentive was offered for this review
- Sound wasn't very good but when you're buying a 55+ inch TV you do go and buy a sound system also
- HDR feature was detected by my PS4 and games look great
- Slow operating system for freeview and youtube but I use Apple TV anyway.
- 6 star energy rating for 55 inch which is rare for a TV that size as most are 4.5 to 5 stars only.
- 6 months ago I was very happy with my purchase price at the time from Kogan of $550 including delivery. I see it's currently at $759 plus delivery on Kogan and I think that's overpriced (for the 55 inch model)
Purchased in October 2018 at Kogan.com for $550.
We purchased a refurbished 55" MU8010, I completely forgot to read reviews before clicking purchase but I'm glad I didn't as it's actually a pretty good quality TV for the price. The sound is the worst part of it, if you buy this TV; speakers are a must. When loading videos, the audio crackles even with speakers in but once it's all loaded it's perfectly fine. I had to tweak the picture settings to my own preference, which is fine. After putting on a 4k video, the picture quality is actually really good, the colours could be a little more vibra...
Read morent and the brightness could be up but if you're okay with a TV which DOES have slightly vibrant but only slightly darker colours, this TV is fine. The menu is also not that great, as you can't change any settings while in any apps, it has to be on the home screen, which is just static unless you have an aerial plugged in. I was a bit worried that kogan use allied express, after reading reviews and seeing as people's items were getting stolen, but they delivered 3 days after shipped with no problem except that the tracking wasn't accurate. 8/10, I would definitely purchase this or any other kogan TV again despite bad reviews.Related Articles
Got the TV within 4 days of ordering it and thought, awesome service.. That's where the joy ended. Kogan, this TV is poor and is NOT what was advertised. It says it's Vesa compliant and uses Vesa 400 x 200 wall mounting configuration.. No it doesn't!!!!!!!!!!
It only has screw holes for one bracket a third of the way up from the bottom of the TV and it's only mounted to flimsy plastic, not a metal sub-frame!!!! Just imagine trying to hang that off the wall without it crashing to the floor.
Do not buy this TV! In fact don't ever buy anything ...
On the main page of the website I purchased from, all reviews had 4+ stars which I now believe to be fake. I bought this tv on Black Friday thinking to get a cheap deal. I bought this 4K HDR TV specifically for gaming which I’ve just tried doing for 30 minutes+ on my Xbox one X. Was extremely excited until I found out it didn’t work and now have wasted $500 for nothing. This is false advertising at its finest. This is a 1080p TV.
I will continue to try 4K with other applications.

- Bought this TV mainly for gaming. Picture looks great in 4K, apart from deep blues, they display way too saturated and pixelated and I cant see anything in that blue area. Tried everything in the settings to fix this yet nothing works.
- On board You-Tube sucks too, super slow and freaks out when you send a video to play from your phone. Restored to doing everything through the Xbox.
- I was aware that the HDR wouldn't work for gaming, even though my console says it does and with HDR enabled it looks great on the home screen but as soon as...

To say I am disappointed with KOGAN in this instance would be a huge understatement. We have been extremely happy with our previous purchases and have had no problems with them not being as advertised. This one was advertised as a 4K HDR television, but on arrival, it would not display as such. Both my son and I combed through the specifications and as this was to be purchased specifically for gaming, and did not see a disclaimer anywhere. However, it seems there was one, way down the bottom, hidden amongst the big claims of what the telly ...
Read moreWOULD do. HDR does not support gaming. Given that the latest model consoles are specifically built for this makes this statement a right joke. (oh yes, did I mention that once my first complaint was made, the company had a fire sale on this item for $399 to clear the warehouse?) To give KOGAN the benefit of the doubt though, even if the disclaimer was on there, KOGAN STILL should NOT be advertising this TV with "4K HDR" front and centre in large print with NO DISCLAIMER. In any case, it certainly does not say that "4K" is not available. The Xbox One X couldn't even export at 4K to this TV as It was capped at 1080p. (It does to our other 4K Kogan TV purchased through Dick Smith.) Best case scenario for KOGAN, it is extremely misleading advertising, worst case scenario it is false advertising because it definitely doesn't say that 4K won't work, which it did NOT. SO we have paid this company an absurd amount of money for a standard run of the mill cheap arse television. Oh yes, we can send it back for a refund, provided we pay the couple of hundred dollars in postage costs. The fact too, that we CANNOT speak to a human being from KOGAN to sort this matter out is absolutely unacceptable. We have referred this matter to the ACCC, and will be flagging with our MP.RESPONSE FROM OFFICE OF FAIR TRADING:

Very cheap TV that lasted 4 months,,, Onboard software keeps freezing, this required removing AC power/Reboot of the TV.... A firmware & software update had no effect, which deemed it to be a hardware fault.
Washed out blues, forever configuring settings to achieve an average viewing picture.
TV decided not to turn on,,, Red light of death.
Raised an RA ticket with Kogan via email...
Kogan had no idea of the product or read my fault description of the issue., I ran through their check list & 80% of the troubleshooting required the TV to b...

Terrible, can't access netflix or other apps, keeps dropping out of wifi and freezes up
Not satified with operating system, customer service is ok but can be very difficult if you are not tech savvy. Does not connect with netflix or other apps correctly, system freezes, have to reboot continually. Will be negotiating for either a replacement tv or a full refund at Kogans delivery costs if these problems continue.
Seriously disappointed with purchase of this set.the colours are washed and dark even with a 4k player does not make much difference on image in fact a normal hd tv produces better quality picture.
Do yourself a favour and spend a bit more for a quality tv.
Kogan tv's are trash
This is far from a smart TV. The picture is a disgrace and I'm not referring to 4K resolution as I know most shows are not in 4K. Just the quality is awful. The sound is so bad that I have to put the subtitles on to watch it at night when my partner sleeps. #9 is barely able to hear and the jump in volume for #10 is RIDICULOUS! There is NO browser which is absolutely unacceptable for a so called WiFi connected TV. I have contacted customer service because I want to return it and I have been ignored. I provided model # and everything required fo...
Read morer a 'quicker resoinse". Time to go to Current Affair. How Kogan continues to get away with pushing out BADLY made TV's is beyond me. Every review, every YouTube video are the same.. Bad, worst TV, Does Kogan make the worst TV in the world was one title. Shame on you Kogan! Shame on the false advertising of the TV on late night TV and shame on the English woman on channel 9 who also does the Thin Lizzy stuff. I'm fed up.Questions & Answers
