Better than expected
I had attended a presentation for the "other" all in one food preparation machine and was blown away, but I just wasn't in a position to purchase. Wanting to serve my family fresh foods in a quick and easy manner forced me in to looking for an alternative, and the best value for money product I found was the ThermoBlend.
Apart from a few differences, lower cooking temp, blades need to be changed, and a more manual process, I can't fault the product. Recipes can be adapted from TM ones. I am very happy with my purchase and will continue to purchase from Kogan in the future.

Why all the negative reviews??
I have read many negative reviews about this unit, but mine is excellent. I use it every single day for my family, and it has encouraged my kids to eat a wider range of fresh food. I can't compare it to a thermomix, I have never had one. For the price, it is an amazing, reliable little unit. If anyone is looking for more recipes. the Bellini book is available online, and a fabulous, extended resource. Lack of recipes was my only concern.

great versatile product especially for the price
I got my TB while kogan were offering free shipping and I haven't looked back. I was daunted when I unwrapped it and found the 'instruction manual' totally useless but I had read some of these reviews beforehand so I knew if I googled for help I would find it. Don't know whether they've changed the design but mine does cook and steam at the same time which is a complaint a lot of people here have had about it. I've made mashed potato in the SS jug and steamed fish and greens in the steamer at the same time. It also has a mixing blade without sh...Read more
arp bits and a plastic mixing thing so I guess that means you don't need the reverse function that Thermomix has. I used the plastic thing for risotto and it worked well. I've been having great success with my TB so far using thermomix recipes and making up stuff through trial and error. I love that I can cook and blend in the one machine without dirtying two appliances. It looks like a spaceship on my bench top and luckily I have big kitchen as it is quite large. I have no complaints about this product so far.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Overload light when mixing/cooking
I am sitting here right now reading reviews and going through pdf files on line to find out about the overload light on the control unit. I am using the unit for the second time after purchasing. First recipe was a steamed one and turned out great. This one is a heat/mix beef stroganoff, after 17 mins into 40 mins cooking time the overload light came on and hasn't gone off after turning machine off for a while. Emptied dish and tried using empty with no result, I am guessing that it prob takes some time to reset and cool the mixing motor. Not much help or info on this but am reading in other reviews that people always use a setting or 2 higher then what is in the recipes.

Love it!
I bought the thermoblend and am very happy with it. Made a lot of things already and just use ideas from thermomix community posts. It works well. It can not weigh like thermomix but that does not worry me

I am still in love with my TB. Bought it 2 years ago and it is still going strong. Use it nearly everyday and so far never had any problems with it. Glad I didn't buy the expensive TM as the Tb does exactly the same job.

After 18 months my TB is still going strong. No problems at all. It is together with my 2 Air Fryers the best kitchen gadgets I've ever bought.
After 3 years it is still going strong. Kogan has got a different one on the market, but I would not swap this one for the one they are selling now, as it is the same as the old Bellini Thermo appliance and they use to have lots of problems.
Had my TB for 4 ½ years and had 5 year warranty on it. Had a problem with the blade. Talked to Kogan via Messenger on Facebook, was going to get a new blade and then they asked me to send the whole ... Read more
TB back and after they checked it out I was told I was getting a brand new TB2 Pro. How good is that! Love it as well, even though I miss the dough setting, but love the wider jug/bowl. Bought a second Bowl ($19.) from Target as they were getting rid of the bowls because they stopped selling the Bellini Thermo Blend, which is the same as the Kogan TB2., so now I don't have to swap over the blades. Sharp blade on one and blunt blade in the other. Love that you can cook and steam at the same time, which you could not do with TB1. Got the TB2 for nearly 2 weeks, and love it as much as I did the TB1. The service from Kogan is extremly good. Can't fault them.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

All good
All good so far. I haven't had much time to play with it yet. The only thing is the turbo button which you have to keep pressing... but I guess that's not a deal breaker. I'm happy. Great service. Love Kogan gear.... I have bought other stuff & have been happy.
Much cheaper than the $2000 Termomix & very similar.
Turbo button doesn't stay on

Great...almost a thermomix for a fraction of the price
I've had my Thermoblend for around a year now and still use it 4-5 times a week. I'd say it has 85% of the Thermomix functionality for 15% of the price. No regrets. I don't often cook whole meals in it as I find it (and the Thermomix) tend to just make slop however I do use it for veggie prep, cooking off onions, making bechemal sauce, dough and smoothies/frappes.

Great for quick no stir risotto etc. but it burns and is noisy!
As stated above, I cook risotto and chicken casseroles mainly. Great for quick 1 pot recipes with ease but the unit becomes noisy after 20mins. The lid starts warping from the heat and you're left with 3 burn marks around the inside of the bowl near the blade! Has its benefits but drawbacks too...

All the bells and whistles for much less
Have had for 2 months now and so far has been great! I probably use this machine 2-3 times a week so it wasn't worth me paying $2k for the TB's fancy cousin. There's a very limited cook book available, but I adapt other thermo cooking recipes and so far we have not had any mealtime failures. Only thing that's prevented full 5 stars is that the little measuring/hole cover cup has cracked! Not sure how I managed that but have contacted Kogan and hoping a replacement will be on the way soon. Overall it's an impressive machine for the price and although there's not the 'community support' you can get from TM I have found plenty of online recipes and Facebook groups to help out with any thermocooker.

Never Worked
Admittedly, I never used it for a few weeks after I bought it, but when I eventually got around to trying it out, it never even turned on - despite reading instructions (they only give u a link to their online site) and carefully checking all the connections. No recipes included either. Kogan gave me a store credit to replace the faulty item.

Replacing the Blade cover and Butterfly
After blending my Blade Cover and Butterfly I contacted Kogan and after only about 3 weeks in the mail I received a new Blade Cover and Butterfly FREE! I honestly can't complain about that. :) I would say the only downside to this appliance is that it didn't come with a cookbook.

Kogan ThermoBlend All-in-One
Have not done a lot with it yet but found it good for making soup, cakes, rissotto. It can be used for steaming and other applications but have not tried these as yet. Found it a bit messy trying to get stuff out when I had used the butterfly blade, probably ok if it is a runny consistancy
That you can chop, heat, stir
Having to add blades for different tasks

Not worth it!
I purchased my Thermoblend last November before it was actually released as I did not want to miss out, I received it just prior to Christmas but did not use it until I moved into our new home in June. At first it was really good except for the lid to the top basket it was bowed and that was how I unpacked this from the box. I then found the heating function was not working and my steamed vegetables where uncooked (it was fine before). To top it off the handle just come away from the large jug on inspection this had only been glued on so no ...Read more
surprise that it just come away. I contacted Kogan about this unit they messed me around for weeks I finally got a shipping label and posted this unit back they have since advised me that it can take up to 28 days to process my refund. I have asked several times if this is going to include my extended warranty that I purchased - as the unit failed within the normal warranty period. I have sent so many emails to them over the last few weeks and they rarely answer when they do it takes days to receive a reply. I was a big Kogan fan until this happened and had purchased other products from them - I will never ever buy from them again there customer service is shocking. so far excellent.
Kogan TB, amazing value, pretty much a thermomix without the scale built in. even has feature equivalent to the reverse function of a thermomix. works excellent and i have found a heap of recipe's on facebook group. I have at least 12 months warranty, and paid a tenth of the price of a thermomix. I cant be happier, even if i have to send it back a couple of times in the first twelve months as per other peoples experience. thanks kogan :)
cheap, feature rich, actually works !!!
no recipe's, gotta do a little research.

Hi, can you please elaborate on the kogan's reverse function? I've been looking high and low for a thermomix imitation that does just that. Thank you
Jan, it doesn't reverse, it has a blade cover which effectively means it stirs but doesn't chop.
Oh that's good to know. Can the blade be fixed on even when there's other food in the bowl though? Like with mashed potatoes the potatoes are chopped first, then whipped in the last minute or so with the butterfly bade attachment

it worked perfectly
friend has the original thermomix and raves about it so when I saw the Kogan thermoblend I thought I would give it a go, I followed a thermomix recipe for Leek and Potato soup and it worked really well for a first time user. The soup was delicious and it only took just over 30mins from start to finish, one happy husband not much washing up either.
I liked that its really easy to follow the instructions, so long as you follow the process of the timer temp etc you shouldnt have a problem
it needs its own recipe booklet or website

Damaged blade cover and butterfly attachment replacement cost 2/5 of machine price to replace
Blade cover and butterfly attachment came off during use and chopped into 10 pieces within seconds. Easy enough done and I would assume an expected problem. Other brand replacements are around $15. Why is the TB $69 for one of the small plastic attachments? I'm happy to accept responsibility for the damage but how can two small molded plastic component we valued at more than two fifths of the total cost of machine. I had recommended the machine to friends as a great low cost alternative but now have change my opinion. Poor show Kogan, given your companies public outcry over expensive HDMI cables.
Works well for the price paid
replacement parts are far too expensive at $69 a picece for plastic blade covers

Hi there
I'm looking at getting one of these. The reviews however keep mentioning a lid issue?
I've noticed the reviews are at least 3 yrs old. Please convince me that all these issues have been corrected in the newer model. Tia

Hi Nicola, our first Thermoblend over heated on the second use, Kogan replaced without any issues however the replacement also over heats. The only way is to half the suggested temp level when cooking. Note the instruction and recepy books are very ordinary. In Summary "you get what you pay for"
Sharron
Why would you compromise the heating. It should do what the manual claims. Halving the suggested heat is unacceptable ...and as a reviewer I would never say that to anyone...maybe I've been spoilt, I've had a Bellini for 5yrs now, replaced the jug once gets used 3 times a day sometimes, I just need a replacement now for when it ceases. Your comments are honest and I thankyou for that!
Cheers Nicola
