Time wasting & lack of communication
Went to Rex Gorell Land Rover with a key issue a few weeks ago and informed them that it was faulty and it was my only key (due to a tinting company breaking my only working one) They took two hours to work this out themselves until they ordered a new one from UK. I was told to them come back after the three and a bit weeks passed so I did and I took unpaid work leave, drove 75ks to then be told after waiting an hour that now they need two keys to programme the car and a whole new module. ceived. How can you not know this was a mandatory requirement to programme a key or ask the question before ordering it. There was no care for the time that I have wasted on two occasions now and a third to come. It has been an absolute nightmare. Rex Gorrell disappointment
Pathetic service. Expensive service. Had to come back a second time service because Rex Gorrell Land Rover did not stock numerous parts that my vehicle required. Service Manager woeful. I have always been a fan, but no longer. Disgraceful across the board.

Over 15 years of association with Doncaster Land Rover
My 2001 Range Rover had a few issues that were intermittently coming up. What made me keep it was the excellent responses by the service department at Doncaster LR. My previous car was a 1999 Discovery which was passed on to a family member. So for a few years we were using Doncaster LR for servicing both vehicles.
Recently I bought a Range Rover Velar which is now serviced by the same dealer.

not impressed
I contacted the dealer (with the intention of buying the car) based on the description in the add "Meticulous, Immaculate and ready to go". I was ready to buy over the internet as I am 250 Km away. The sales manager was nice and keen to do a deal. Maybe to keen...
But it turns out - after SVPI inspection, absolutely worth every penny - that the car is far from immaculate; that it has many problems including a quite serious accident (cleverly concealed by a new paint job), bad tires on the back, an oil leak, noisy air con, weak battery, a ding in the door, etc.
Thanks, all the same, Alto Jaguar, but not thanks

Worst Customer Service ever received in Servicing
4 days to service my car, supposed to be 1 day. There may have been good reason, though never did the dealer call me with an update and explanation for the delay - each call was initiated by me.
When I eventually collected the car, the service area implied all the issues and faults were our own.
Overall I can not recommend this dealership, and ironically I wanted to book in to RR at Artarmon though they had no availability for a month, whereas RR Partamatta had the whole week free - I wonder why? And I know which dealership I’ll get my RR serviced at next time

The most honest Land Rover Dealership in the country
UPDATE ON 14/01/2018 - Dealing with Jamie Barry just went to a complete different level. Long story short, delivery of my vehicle was delayed as the vessel that my vehicle is in was sent to Indonesia for fumigation of bugs (by quarantine). I spoke to Jamie as I didn't have a car ay longer and he suggested that he would give me a loan car while I wait for my new car. I went to Sydney expecting an old Toyota or Mazda as a loan car. ORIGINAL - I had an amazing experience dealing with Jaguar Land Rover Northern beaches in Sydney. I had a few bad experiences in other dealerships where they would either try to rip you off or assume that you are stupid or have no product knowledge and act that they are experts even they are not. I made an appointment to meet with the Assistant Sales Manager at Jaguar Land Rover in Northern Beaches, Jamie Barry. I didn't expect them to be any different to other JLR dealerships. I couldn't be more wrong! When we arrived, my family was greeted by lovely Angela and she made us feel welcome and kept engaging with us and our little daughter while we waited for Jamie. Jamie and we sat down, built a custom vehicle and did the pricing together. He offered a huge discount for the exact same spec as we came from interstate. He was very patient, while he showed us different models, options etc. If he didn't know something about the 19MY car, he called a product specialist and got that information for us, rather than acting same as other dealerships, "we know everything!". At the end, they gave a present to my daughter - a Land Rover stuffed toy! Totally unexpected! I would highly recommend Jamie Barry and this dealership to anyone, if you are looking for the best deal in Jaguar or Land Rover or Range Rover in Australia . Worst Customer Service EVER.
Sales Manager [name removed] will not bother to return a call and too busy to sell you a car because he is at a BBQ across the road. Staff all stale and a complete staff overall desperately needed there. I will never buy a car from here. No calls returned and no assistance on the showroom floor. How they sell a car I do not know as no one cares.

nto thinking their facilities may be second rate. The Rex Gorell workshop, service recption and showroom is state of the art, top class.... and they wash your car to boot. Above and beyond service to my RR
The glass roof of my RR Evoque had cracked - I investigated a solution with Land Rover HQ in Sydney with no joy at all. My dealer - ULR Malvern replaced the entire roof at no cost as a gesture of good will. AND they gave me a gorgeous Jaguar to drive while my RR was being fixed. This dealer is terrific.

Time Wasters
Don't have your time wasted by this dealership. Could not source the new vehicle I wanted for my Daughter with the specs I gave them as they tried to sell me everything but. I travel from Melbourne to Sydney the next day on a personal matter and try my luck with the Alto Land Rover Dealership at 405 Pacific Highway Artamon. Within 1 hour [name removed] the General Manager has sourced vehicle with all my specs plus some extras and I sign contract.
