Excellent service- 5 minutes to connect after signing up

Like others, I am very happy with Launtel's charging model and excellent service. In my case, sign up on line was on a Saturday afternoon and we were up and going 5 minutes later as our NBN FTTN line had been used up until 3 months ago with another NBN provider. After a couple of weeks we noticed some dropouts started happening but I think this issue is NBN not Launtel - Launtel swiftly lodged a case with NBN. Pricing for us is competitive for 25mbps speed but less so for higher speeds - the good thing though is that you can switch to a higher speed for a day or so if you need it.

Best NBN service for Australians

I like Launtel NBN. Great service and quick connection. Also get free 7 days and also $25 for signing up by using my link. I pay $1.79 per day. Good thing about this is you can turn off when you do not want and save money. I went to overseas few months back and turn off during that time so didn't have to pay. Very easy to deal, offering a free trial and the connection starts straight away. Up until now there haven't been any drop offs which I almost find hard to believe. No contract, no hidden fees. Constant contact until everything is sorted. Highly recommend! Thank you Launtel!!

Uses Vocus but the connection has been stable and reliable. Average speeds are always close to the maximum. The customer support is easily the best I've encountered. You can live chat them and if they are unavailable, someone will get back to you within the hour. Love the ability to pause my NBN service.

Different to the rest

Launtel stand out from the crowd, they don't do direct debit, they don't change a connection fee for a connection with no contract, it's a daily charge, but you simply top up your account manually like a prepaid phone bill - it's what all ISPs should be like. Plus the staff are actually normal and friendly.

Launtel (in a good way) do things a little differently to other NBN providers and I'm very impressed with their service and integrity. I live in a rural area & they are providing me with NBN wireless speeds (unlimited data) up to 5 times greater than my previous NBN wireless and ADSL2 providers. What more could you I ask for, great service, great speeds, no contracts, just pay (in my case) around $2 for the days I use the internet, they even gave me a free (obligation free) one week trial.

I admit I was (well actually my family were) skeptical that this was all to good to be true BUT we all now agree that Launtel is the real deal.

Great service, great pricing model

Really a different experience than other ISPs out there. Very little congestion (as little as there can be for my wireless connection), cheap prices and no contracts. All around a great company offering a quality service that is sorely lacking in the industry right now.

When I researched an NBN service Launtel was the only ISP I could not find a single bad review for. Now I know why, my new internet is very fast and reliable and connecting couldn't have been any easier. IPoE is much better than pppoE, no more pesky MTU settings and you can get the last drop of speed out of your internet by directly connecting your computer to the NBN device bypassing any dodgy home networking equipment that might slow you down.
Support is pretty good too. I had emails answered after hours and on weekends.
The only very minor issue I have found are the payment options. I don't like manual payments and like to avoid auto top-ups. I'd much rather have an autmated payment of a fixed amount on a regular basis.

This company has the best service one could ask. Little expensive on some plans but service is great. Love the feature of pausing service as required for coast house. I would switch my other service if their prices where better in Canberra but it suits my NSW property.

Different to others

I was looking to change provider's for a while(fttp). I found Launtel on product Review and went through the process and signed up. They are different because they are pay as you go you can even pause your service if you go away or just can't afford for a while. I'm on 50/20 $2.08 per day at sign up was on special. So far service has been very good. Ping 34ms down 45 up 18 on wifi haven't tested on ethernal cable. I had been with My Republic on nbn for over 2 years before there service became hopeless.

Best ISP in OZ

Always get Emails when NBN Co doing planned maintenance on fixed wireless tower.

Always fast fixing any issues what come up 95% of times the issues are on NBN end anyway.

One of the best ting them are base in tassie.

Fast to get hook up and free 7 days is nice.

have been using Launtel for a week so far. Speed is normally >80% of peak advertised speed. No dropouts so far. I love the flexibility of speed and suspension of service at no cost provided by Launtel. All ISP's should be doing this.

I found out about Launtel through another service provider and when I contacted them they offered me 7 days free trail. Connected within 7 mins of contacting them, Stella service from their friendly staff, all questions were answered and cannot fault them in any way ! Launtel should be your first choice for a reliable Internet service . Providers promise the world but never deliver, Launtel is the first ISP that delivers on everything they say.

Hi Alex, no there is not. There is actually no active service with NBN while you are paused, so we are being charged nothing, so we allow that to continue indefinitely.

Hi Gregory, our official support hours are from 9am to 9pm Mon to Fri. However outside those hours you can still call and leave a message, contact us on facebook or send us an email and there is always someone around who will get back to you in an hour or so (often it's me!).

No there is no downside to using an ISP based in Tas - all our connectivity is via Sydney (or Melbourne). It is just our office that is in Tasmania (because it's paradise down here)!

Yes we love our reviews - we have a lot of raving fans! Seriously though customer service is our number one thing, so for that reason (and the amount of bandwidth we allocate) we aren't the cheapest out there.
