The cable will not retract into the casing. Purchased 27.05.2017. Any help?

The best thing to do is call Laura Star in your state - they have 2 yr warranty. Mine would not retract after 2nd use!!! It was repaired recently & all good now, The service team are very helpful.

Hi Simon yes we are here to help, problems occur but we are easily accessible by calling 1800 999 910, Joy is correct we have a 2yr warranty

Hi,

I am seriously thinking of buying a lift plus model but after reading these reviews am very concerned. Can somebody from Laurastar please respond re quality issues and have these now been resolved ????

My Laura Star lift has stopped making that engine noise when I turn it on and there is no steam coming out of the iron. There is a very soft buzz coming from the unit. This is my second lift as the previous one was faulty! any ideas?

Contact service centre . had mine replaced 3 times and the third had fallen apart and is rubbish. They obviously are having many problems with this model since it's release they end to replace it.

Our customer service is always available to help, there is no need to use this forum to solicit a positive reply, we are more than happy to help.

I certainly am not using this forum to solicit a positive reply. In fact I am suggesting they contact customer service. However I am quite entitled like other customers to review YOUR product. My previous model which outlived more than 10 year I could not have been happier with, this model as you are aware has problems. You do not expect to pay many $'s of dollars to have so etching replaced 3 times and there still be problems. I was not going to contact CS as this iron is not out of warranty, but I am surely free to. Review your product. Have been in touch with CS and they are going to replace or upgrade the problems. Glad you are doing this but do not shame me for giving my opinion.it is to your benefit to have all reviews good and bad, that is what makes a better product

Has anyone had any problems with the sole plate on the Laurastar lift? Mine one has stopped gliding over my husband's shirts and is pinching the fabric as l steam over them. Why would this be? Never had any issues with my old g4 (miss that machine).

Are you using the sole plate. I have never had a problem when using it. Otherwise there could be something on the base of the plate to cause it to catch

We just opened our Laurastar lift plus and started using it. Now the pulsing steam function will not stop! I have tried everything? This unit is brand new and i am having this issue. Please help?

I had this exact issue on mine...I jiggled the buton and it eventually stopped and was sort f useable. I hear this may be a problem with the build quality of the unit and so I've sent mine into the laurastar repair place in Melbourne. Try send you a reply paid box which you send away with some packing. If you are lucky the store may be able to replace the unit. At any rate you are covered by Australian consumer law which states goods must be built fit for purpose.

I have a white Laura star lift. It has a rattle which it had from the day I took it out of the box. Is it meant to rattle and it so what is it?
It doesn't matter if it's full or empty or on off. Is this a float inside the device? It works perfectly.

Hi Christine, yes they do have a float in the tank that can make a rattling sound. If its working fine, then no need to worry

The temperature control knob has fallen of my Laurastar Lift iron and I can't seem to get it back on - do you have some instructions for doing so? I have managed to get the metal spring back in position but can't work out how to lock the black knob into position so it doesn't keep falling out. Thank you.

Sounds familiar. Mine too lost the knob. They replaced it together with the whole iron housing (plastic upper shell and handle, and hotplate).

I'm looking for an steam iron and this model has come first on my list. However, I am now hesitated to buy one due to so many negative reviews. Expensive product but not reliable?

If and when this iron dies out of warranty I would not hesitate to replace it with the same model. It works great after the hassle free repairs and is the best iron I've ever owned.

Hello Perthian, the initial quality control issues on LIFT have been resolved. All new models have the upgraded parts fitted.

What did you end up doing, Ironman?
After my personal experience, although I love the customer service, I feel the product isn't up to scratch for the price.
I think I'll be looking at a Comel Snail iron, from Italy, next.
I feel for Laurastar, as this is obviously a design/manufacturing issue, and now they are dealing with the aftermath.
