Nice little package but came with problems
A nice little package but when first used, the Lift Plus leaked water everywhere (the unit, not the iron). Took it back to Laurastar who initially insinuated it was something I did wrong, but when they plugged it in, problem reoccurred and they had a wet floor. About a week later it was returned fixed. I would have thought as it was still new, they would have replaced it. Next gripe is one person tells us to use the shoe all time, but when I saw it on TVSN, the Laurastar person said only with darks, motifs, etc. Love the iron (and I hate ironing) but still getting use to it as I don't use it that often. Recommend it but customer service was a tad disappointing.

Stains from Iron
This is my second Laurastar Lift and love the ironing result. I purchased this one in April 2017 and it has just started to leave brown stains on clothes. The filter does not need replacing. I am very disappointed and I am constantly having to re-wash clothes. Can you advise a solution please.

Leaking wter
We have had 3 irons in 40 years and this is the worse iron. It has been changed once already for leaking. The iron was purchased in July and we were assured the problem was fixed in the new model. What was a good product is now substandard. Maybe the irons don't have the same quality control they use to.

Fantastic, worth every cent....
Only just got this system after wanting one for a long time. Was worried how to justify the cost, especially after reading some of the reviews, but I am someone who likes to try things for myself while keeping what others say in mind. a warning light. One thing they don't tell you in the manual is that the first time you fill the tank and turn it on, it almost drains empty, needing you to fill up again. So the first thing I did was grab my husband's heavy and thick workwear to try it out on, because his and my sons work clothes are the real reason I wanted an ironing system to reduce ironing time. I folded the heavy denim pants over together and started to iron up the leg like you see them do in the demo and all sides get ironed at once. Well it didn't go through the layers hardly at all and I have to say I was very disappointed. Until I started again and, using the steam button all the way up the leg, went slowly using steam up and no steam back and THEN...IT...HAPPENED!! After 1 pass up with steam and 1 pass back without steam, all 4 sides were beautifully ironed crease free. This system has reduced my ironing time by at least half. Where I used to iron once a week for about 3 hours it now takes me between 1 to 1 and a half hours. Amazing. I also own a lot of tops with pleats in them and I again copied the demo by folding cuffs of sleeves and shooting bursts of steam up sleeve and it works exactly like you see them do it. I also hung suit jackets up on a rack and steamed the creases out of my husband and sons jackets by using it vertically as per demo and, yes, it really works as shown. Brilliant. The iron is light and easy to manoeuvre. The attachment for the hose holder doesn't fit my ironing board, I suspect Laurastar want you to purchase theirs, which is fine because I actually don't think you need it. All I can say is if you do ironing on any sort of regular basis then a system like this is worth every cent but if you are someone who only pulls the iron out to occasionally use then don't buy. I purchased mine through TVSN on the instalment plan which works for me. The price is pretty much the same as Laurastar direct but cheaper than in the shops like Myer, David Jones etc, so good value. I personally love ironing so finally owning a Laurastar has made me one happy camper. Buy it and you won't regret falling in love with ironing again!1 comment

Great iron but the protective coating on the hose started to Frey in one month
I like the way Laurastar irons. It is a great product as you can iron vertical. I was disappointed when the hose started to fray after one month of owning it. Can the rubber hose explode without the protective coating as I can feel the heat from the rubber when ironing.

Quality issues
I was seriously thinking of buying one of these machines. Reviews are very disappointing and now have no confidence in product. I wonder if somebody from Laurastar could comment on where quality issues are at today as I don't want to become yet another customer who has to return the machine after purchase!

Not Built To Last
A 4th time Laurastar owner I can't express my disappointment enough.
For a product so prestige with capability & output WHY are they built so shabbily.
I don't mind paying a significant price for a quality outcome that is second to none. But I expect more than an 18 mth life span purely based on a flimsy product-build.
I will always maintain that Laurastar sell itself short claiming ironing-time is cut in half.. ironing-time is one-quarter of the time hands-down and perfect pristine professional result every time.

Shambles.
To say I am disappointed with this Iron is an understatement. I have returned once for repairs which took some 5 weeks and repeated phone calls. I note in the reviews their irons are shorting - mine is has started this process and it is only 18 months old. The steam presser button come away from the iron some 12 months ago. Dreadful product. Such a shame as my previous Laurastar lasted some 8 years. Caveat emptor.

Should have saved my miney and bought a $100 iron
I was very excited when I received a small windfall and could afford to purchase the holy grail of irons, the Laura Star. I had a wonderful De Longhi which gave up the ghost so after some research decided the Laura Star Lift + was the iron for me. Initially, I was very happy with it. Then things started going wrong. The temperature control knob on the iron itself fell off and nothing I do makes it stay on. The next problem, the protective plate is not a good fit and keeps coming off, because of the aforementioned scorch, arks, I now always have to iron with this plate attached. Finally, water comes put all over the clothes when ironing - this is extremely unsatisfactory. I am pretty sure part of the advertising of Laura Star is about this sort of thing not happening. On an earlier post there was a response from Laura Star saying that there were problems with the first release and registered owners were contacted re a replacement. Very upset with quality
I purchased this iron approximately 4 years ago it has already been replaced twice due to them both being faulty now on my third iron the cover is terrible it has now cracked as it does not obviously withstand the temperature the second one I had the cover melted now I used it today to find the cover has now cracked and unsafe to use I find the cover to obviously be of cheap or faulty quality! This now being out of warranty I assume that I am going to be expected to pay to have this repaired just for the next one to do the same! For the price I paid for this iron I am extremely unhappy with the quality of this product!

We bought this iron following an in-store demonstration... looked great, and the sales person said they would be happy to train our housekeeper, it came with full warranty, etc., so why not?!
As it turns out, the store stopped selling the brand due to too many complaints about the quality, the training of staff was complete nonsense, and the iron has now been sent back for repair twice in less than six months..

Very dissapointing
Was given this iron by my mum for my birthday and right from the start used to scald your hand - had to move iron over the clothes so quick or i would have a burnt hand from the steam. I put up with it till after a few months the handle broke so took it in to northbridge. The soleplate also gets so dirty that you have to use the cover to iron anything because it marks white things and sticks to the clothes - tried everything to clean even bought special iron cleaner. still had the issue of steam burning hand. the handle has since broken again and clicks in and out of place, the pulse switch has come out and just last night i was ironing my shirt for work and noticed that the (pink) casing of the iron was melting and dripping down the side of the soleplate!!! I sent an email to the head office - and have just received a call back basically telling me that i was the one at fault and not using it correctly! Apparently its ok for the case to melt!!! Said i would have to take it in for a service (dont know how you service a melted iron). I said i would need a loan unit but was told i could only have one if there was one available - and apparently the technician is unwell so i could be without an iron for a few weeks!!! Very disappointed with the iron and customer service not good! Would note my mum has an ironing centre and is very happy with it. Would not recommend buying a Lift however.2 comments

In saying that, the faults reported and images we have seen suggest the product needs replacement. So instead of a repair we would like to offer a replacement. Great iron
I bought the laurastar lift after using a Phillips normal iron and I am happy that I made the switch to a steam iron. It cuts my ironing time in half and makes the chore easier. I would recommend it.

Back to using my G1 - my Lift Plus is now in the cupboard after being replaced once already - NOT HA
We purchased the Lift Plus from TVSN when it first came out. At first, it was wonderful, then after a few months, no matter what we tried, it just kept spewing water out when you try to iron anything. It was sent to the Brisbane repairer and returned with the same issue. After some very unpleasant dealings with Laurastar, who basically accused us of using the iron for commercial purposes, TVSN stepped in and the iron was replaced. Again, after a few months, the same thing has happened and I am back to using my old iron. Nearly $1000 wasted and a lemon in the cupboard.

feel I am in charge of my ironing now where as in the past my bundle of clothes to iron in the basket seemed so overwhelming. Not anymore. I have been ironing all afternoon yesterday and I just love it. What would take me all day to iron seems to take me around half the time now. My husband loves his crisply ironed business shirts now. I don't need to take my delicate clothes to the dry cleaners anymore. Yay!!! That in itself will save us several hundreds of dollars a year. Another girlfriend has a Tefal and while it is much cheaper in price it ran out of steam very quickly when she showed me how it worked. It also doesn't look nowhere near as groovy as the Lift plus. The money spent on the Lift plus I feel is well worth it. The old adage that you pay for quality rings so true. European/Swiss quality was the determining factor in my purchase and so far I am very very happy. I just now have to go to the Laurastar outlet in Blackburn to redeem my free Ironing Board. Thumbs up to Laurastar. Lots of continuous steam and just glides and free ironing board valued at $1991 comment

Love my new iron! Can't ever live without it
I never thought I would actually say that about ironing but I m actually really starting to enjoy it. I had an old Philips steam stations for years which broke down and saw the Laurastar Lift on the Choice review. The iron is so light, it just glides. I can use it just to steam out clothes without having to take out the board each time. It just gets the job done so much faster. I really like the fact that it s easy to use, heats up in no time and I can carry it around. I stopped taking my silk blouse to the dry cleaning because I totally trust it. I admit it s a big investment but worth every penny. Can t live without my Lift ever again.

The best thing to do is call Laura Star in your state - they have 2 yr warranty. Mine would not retract after 2nd use!!! It was repaired recently & all good now, The service team are very helpful.
