Excellent product.

So we've had this for years, our daughter outgrew it and it went down to our son... He has bashed it, thrown it, jumped on it, hurled it, used it as a hammer. It has to be made from titanium or something it just keeps working. The battery life is better than any phone I've owned..
The apps can be pricey but think about it, free apps on a ipad or tablet and he throws it on tiles once verse spending a few bucks and it lasts through a child abusing apocalypse..
Highly recommend it..

Purchased in November 2021 at Big W for $199.00.

Good quality& strong but you need to buy apps

published

We bought the leappad platinum for our daughter a year ago. The unit itself is very strong and The games that come on it are ok but not enough of them So you have to buy apps. Also the things my daughter loves most arnt available in apps yet like wiggles, minnie & there was only 1 peppa game I bought for $22 and I dont think it was worth that, the book that came within the app you have to select page by page so makes it hard for my daughter to go back to select the new page and other than that it has a game. All the $7 and $11 games and videos I have bought have definatly been worth the money I've paid for them. I would still recommend buying this over an iPad because of its durability.

Not worth the money

published

I bought 2 of these devices and really regret buying them. The apps are expensive, the free apps are misleading and both of them broke down. I followed the instructions by head office for the 1st one that broke down, but it didn't work so I got a replacement. The 2nd device said it needed an upgrade when it was perfectly fine, now the device won't upgrade when I plug it into the computer, and will have to get this one replaced. I've had them both for 12 months.
They really need to look at how these devices work and reduce the prices of the device and the apps.

Waste of money

published

I brought this in the July toy sale at big w for Christmas. It was honestly a waste of money I brought it for 199 and now they are selling at 119 at target. The apps are very expensive and it states it comes with 5 free apps but they are only demos and 5 imagicards. The kids safe browsing consists of not much at all, reminiscent of an outdated intraweb from back in my school days. Honestly I should have brought him a v tech watch or a real tabler for the same cost. Beware of the hidden costs before purchasing this item.

Good learning device.

I purchased the leap pad platinum from toys r us for my sons birthday but was disappointed at the misleading packaging that states 500 games available & in very fine print not included.
They should at least bundle a few games for the price we are paying.
