Leitner E Fat Bike, Fantastic Value
I am still over the moon with just how good this fat bike it is to use off road. I had it couriered to Tassie and it was dead easy to assemble. I regularly use it for 30k rides with lots of hills and have done 700km without a hitch.
Purchased in December 2021 for $1,999.00.

Awesome ebike
This is the second one I have purchased as my first one was stolen.so that says it all about how much I like this bike.it is a mish mash of high quality components so spare parts shouldn't be a problem.i have 720 km on the Speedo and it's still as good as new minus a few scratches and worn tyres.the main thing with this bike is that it's great fun.i just hope you don't mind people asking questions everywhere you go because it's a real head turner.cheers.steve!

Great Service, Excellent Quality Bike!
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Ordering was easy, delivery was FAST! Hunter Freight picked up the bike from Melbourne on Tuesday and the bike was delivered to me in Sydney At midday on Wednesday!
The packaging of the bike was excellent with not a scratch or mark present and Assembly was easy, only taking about 20 minutes.
Build quality of the bike is EXCELLENT! Way beyond what I expected fro the money. I was half expecting a decent quality Chinese build of bike, but if this is made in China they sure have a damn good factory! I a...Read more
m fussy when it comes to quality and eye for detail and I can’t fault a thing. Everything was adjusted and worked perfectly straight from the box. The tyres were even pumped up enough to go for a ride to the servo if you didn’t have a pump to adjust them correctly Now for the best bit. This bike FLIES! 32kmh? I don’t think so, try more like 40 on the flat without pedalling and 50 down hill with some pedalling. Going up hill it is great! It will climb hills without effort and never dropped below 25kmh. When cruising I find even the lowest pedal assist too much as it accelerates so fast that you have to stop pedalling all the time to slow down. So personally I have found that I prefer to set pedal assist to 0 and just use a tiny bit of throttle to cruise at the speed I want while I pedal at the correct rate.Purchased in January 2021 for $1,999.00.

Exceeded my expectations ;-)
I purchased this bike for training and fitness. I am a 'older' rider and have knee osteo arthritis. I was already riding a Mountain Bike, and was finding that longer rides on the my 'normal' bike were starting to aggravate the knee.
I find the best part of the Fat Bike is that rides are simply much more enjoyable. As they are more fun, I find myself doing more rides, over longer distances.
Normally, i would start to feel fatigued towards the end of the ride, now i enjoy the whole ride, as the assistance of the motor means return trips are no...Read more

This is the ebike I've been waiting for
This is a wonderful piece of equipment, I've been on grass, sand, tarmac, hills, it's all good. Plenty of torque, the controls are straightforward, assembly was easy, the controls for gears and throttle were exactly the same as my previous ebike, Was able to put some air in the tyres, check the brakes and take it out for a blast (it was fantastic ). A friend rode it yesterday and he was grinning like Daniel Ricciardo, so I guess I must look similar. Thanks for an awesome product.

Questions & Answers
Ocker L.asked
Is it legal to ride on the road if battery not activated or removed and how hard is it to pedal with no battery assist
2 answers
Yea it's just a bicycle if you take the battery off but very hard to pedal without pedal assistance
An interesting question Ocker L. You could also argue that if you use the the peddle assist on 1 or 2 out of 5, you are not utilizing sufficient power to make use of the excess power available on this model. If you ride carefully and don't draw attention to yourself, why would a police officer even bother looking into it. If there is a bike track near the road, use it.
If you are mainly going to use the bike on the road, you may as well save yourself $500 and buy the next model down. Here in Tassie we have lots of hills and there are lots of off-road places to ride, so the fat bike suits my usage.
Which ever model you go with I would recommend buying a 'platform car rack' (eg Buzzrack). They cost $500 to $800 but worth it if you are carting your bike around a fair bit. The good ones tilt so that you can still access your rear door on an SUV.
Cheers
Ian

Brian G.asked
Why is it unsuitable for riding on the road or bike tracks is it only a legal issue
1 answer
Leitner E.Leitner
Hi Brian,
Thanks for your question. And yes you are correct, it is purely a legal issue. This is due to the motor being twice as powerful as the legal 250w limit and also as it has the capability to go 32kph without any pedal assistance.
Hope this helps and thank you for your interest in our fantastic eBikes
Kind Regards
