i love my electric bike, however the brakes are shocking, i live in a very hilly area, the back brakes squeal badly and wore out within weeks. Leitner offered to give my money back however that is not what I wanted, i will need to upgrade the brakes, i would think that Leitner need to build the bikes with better quality brakes, that is my only complaint

my purchase was the venice elec step through / it arrived on time undamaged / assembly was childs play / test ride was perfect / the bike is a well made solid construction but still lightweight and the finish is first class in construction and paintwork / it smacks of class all round and has to be the best value item in australia / my wife does not see much of me these days as i am on the bike whenever i can

This Leitner electric stepthru is my first new cycle in forty years. The power assistance is grand, but doesn't takeover, if you cease peddling then you also lose the power assistance, so for exercise as well as commuting the power assist is wonderful. Good battery life is great.
Assembly was very simple and straightforward, shipping carton was first class. Altogether an excellent buy.

Yep the bike fits my wife per pose, as stepping over the usual size bike was a chalange, so this low slug folding unit was a winner in her eyes and no has no trouble getting on and off, on the normal bike she was limited in her riding range, but now it's not a problem, l am the one chasing her,
So l might bye one too in a few years !!!!!

Fourteen months trouble -free months later, this becoming my number choice vehicle to move about in my congested hilly suburb. I discovered its an unique class on its own: able to be stored in booth, step through, low centre of gravity, attractive in appearance and price. Well thought of and constructed mechanical and electrical modes inter-exchange mechanism. Reliable service and honest advice is another pleasant surprise.

I have now owned this bike for about six months and am so pleased the the purchase. It is better than owning a second car. My friends and relatives also borrow it and love it.
Some of the features that are important are a good chain guard, mud guards, soft start feature, larger tyres for a softer ride, the step through suits me as an 81 year old, comfortable seat, a good carrier, disc brakes front and rear.good lights, good suspension for the front wheel and great value for my money.
The only negatives are the:The battery chargers causes some interference on the radio and I would prefer yellow lights instead of red on the battery and power level screen as my eyes are not very sensitive to red.

This bike is excellent! Prompt delivery, and due to an assembly fault I tested their after sales service and found it really good. The fault was quickly sorted and I am loving getting out and about in style.

I ride this to work 24km return every day. It's really good, and has exceeded my expectations. I got the XL battery, because of my range anxiety, and never a problem, always heaps of battery power left. I can just cruise or pedal when I feel like it. I'm a 105kg male...not a problem. Welcome to the future, dude!

After suffering a knee injury I was struggling on my regular bike riding around hilly Mount Waverley. I had heard of pedal assist electric bikes and decided to shop around to see what I could find. I was delighted with the Leitner price but could it deliver on quality? I took the plunge and wasn't disappointed.

Three rides later and I am in love with my new bike. Hills that usually caused me to jump off and walk are now a breeze and I can finally keep up with my husband who usually leaves me for dust in his bike riding wake. Also nothing quite feels better than when one is overtaken by a bike riding superstar and then overtaking them when a huge hill presents itself. LOL

I Love my Leitner eBike!
Beautifully designed! Thought of everything. Very sturdy and riding up steep hills is a cinch!

It took me a few times of riding around to work out what and why it is designed like it is, and now I can see why.
For example, the 6kmph (walking pace) throttle is the best for starting up, gone are the awkward hops as I get into the saddle. And, the engine stops immediately I stop cycling, which is a wonderful safety feature.

Because I am delighted with it and my husband was envious, we just bought him one too!
We are looking forward to exploring all the local bike paths and places we've not been to before.

[I agree with another reviewer that a speedometer would be a fun addition.]

I tested a few electric bikes that cost twice as much as the Leitner. I was hesitant to order the Leitner without being able to test it because I wanted to know whether the pedal assist kicked-in quickly. -- On some other brands the pedal assist felt a bit sluggish --. I have not been disappointed. The after sales support is also excellent. It is fantastic to be riding a bike again, and absolutely brilliant to have pedal assistance on all the hills in Sydney.

We recently bought a Venice from Leitner. The price was good, delivery prompt and the assembly not difficult. Good attitiude from Leitner as well. Bike lives up to it's claims, rides well and is good quality.The battery lasts longer than we expected and is easy to charge.The security is also good we haven't had to remove the battery.Recommend Leitner any day !!

I love my bike - in particular I love that I can ride it as a normal pushbike or and/or use the pedal assist when needed. Great service before, during and after sale. The bike is really solid but is easy to maneuver. I have had heaps of compliments on how good it looks.. Thanks Ephraim

I am 81 years old, and now II can ride any where i want, The finish on the bike is A1, and so easy to put together. The bike is so quiet, I have given the bike 5 stars. and the spokes in the wheels are made of stainless steel.I can't get over the 1st class finish on this machine, and as for the welding on the frame could not be better, as I was a welder I know what I am talking about

Purchased two step through models of these solidly built Chinese bikes. Overall they are of excellent quality and though somewhat heavy they are easy to ride
.Dealing with Ephraem regarding their purchase and related issues was highly professional.
I would highly recommend without hesitation anyone in purchasing an electric bike to purchase a Leitner model.
