Amazing car for the money
Bought new in 2005 and drove for 11 years. Very little maintenance, great performance and handling. Leading edge looks, loads of creature comforts compared to what was available at the time. One of the best cars for the money I've ever owned. No regrets. The only criticism is you have to hit a few too many buttons to get into the display panel to control basic functions.

Luxury on a Budget
I purchased a very low kilometre 2010 model 2 years ago and the car has been a delight as has the service and attention at Lexus of Chatswood, This is my fourth pre-owned Lexus and wouldn't drive anything else. The GS may not be a sexy as an Audi, BMW or Mercedes but is smooth and very responsive returning excellent fuel economy from a punchy V6 and large body sedan. Cheap to service and I have friends whose Holden's and Mitsubishi's cost more to service. Just add fuel and service each year and its trouble free motoring. Roomy, spacious with lo...Read more
ts of technology that is simple and intuitive to use. The Lexus sound system has always been amazing so turn up the music, warm your seats and arrive hours later from a drive relaxed and rested. My 2003 GS had 300,000 kms when I traded it and it had no squeaks or rattles and was still a fun drive so have high expectations of my 2010 GS.

Bulletproof prestige and price performance
I've invested in Lexus happily and successfully for well over a decade. I've bought both new and second hand. ES300s and RX 350s. All of them are still owned and driven by close and extended family members.Since relocating to London, I've bought a used 2011 GS300 with low mileage. As with all my previous units, it is a spectacular driving experience. Being a high powered RWD saloon, it certainly drives and handles with a more sports orientation. The big attraction is the refinement of the engine and transmission. They are beautifully matched fo...Read more
r comfortable city driving and highway cruising both. Cabin noise as usual, is almost non-existent. The interior ie: upholstery and finish are simple and world class quality in material, workmanship and aesthetic. The interior is very calming in colur tones and touch. The appointments and features are as you would expect...plentiful, appropriate and effective. So far, the GS300 has lived right up to its elevated pedigree regarding reliability. Nothing ever goes wrong and if it does, it seems to be easily and readily remedied. Having Toyota DNA has some very powerful advantages for a prestige vehicle when it comes to ready parts replacement and servicing.Servicing however is not at bargain basement prices. Lexus quote high nominal rates but here in the UK at least, are prepared to negotiate before the work starts. In an era where low carbon emission options are significantly rewarded through lower fuel price, road tax and rego costs, the GS300 does not fare so well compared to the diesels and hybrids. No matter it is luxurious, easy to drive, powerful, safe, reliable and elegant in stature. As a used prestige vehicle, it offers humungous bang for your buck. I considered buying as an alternative, the new generation Jaguar XF, the BMW 5 series, the Mercedes E Series or the Audi A5 only because I am living in Europe and thought it might add to the exotic experience. To tell the truth, all of these alternatives drove beautifully and had their own advantages and strengths but none ticked all the boxes like the GS300 and intersected all my traditional requirements. Just a rusted on Lexus bloke, I suppose....Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Oh my gawd!
The best from Japan is better than the best from Germany. Few like to admit it, however it is true. This car is super smooth and quiet, bestowed with every conceivable luxury and has Toyota reliability. No brainer. There are model options with various engines but even the gs300 moves with much authority.
Reliability and luxury - a very rare combination
Automatic boot closer could be a teeny bit more sensitive

Excellent
The GS I now own is my third Lexus. The first one - ES300 - clocked 278,000 Kms. No a singly problem. Just servicing. The Lexus Service the BEST. I owned before 4 Mercedes (last 420SEL) and three BMW. Good cars, poor service. Compare with Lexus they are still behind, particularly BMW.
Smooth, quiet, SAFE, comfortable... in a word SUPERB.
