Close to perfect
I really like this fridge there is a lot of room and it keeps cool in all fridge departments. freezer not so much if you pack it to it's full limits you have to crank the freezer as cold as it will go to freeze everything the way it should be frozen or expect semi frozen ice cream and meat apart from that the only other issue I have is unlike most fridges kids push the door shut and walk away without looking you cant do that with this fridge it will not suck itself shut ever you must manually shut the door and insure it shuts probably which children find hard to do as most mums and dads know they are always to busy playing to care if the door sucked shut

HUGE easy to use fridge/freezer
Had our 13+ years Westinghouse start to play up and so we needed a new fridge.
Looking around and found this LG fridge at a good price with lots of features too.
It is HUGE compared to our old fridge 703L vs 430L, but with a growing family we figured it's better to have bigger for the future.
Easy access via two fridge doors with shelving the width of the fridge, so can take large platters etc.
Additional outer door in right hand door gives access to shelves on that door for commonly used items, milk, butter, sauces etc, allowing limited...Read more
access. Left hand door has cold water and ice dispenser, plus control panel for various fridge functions and temp settings. Internal shelves move around to fit everything, plus some slide back to give additional height when required for drink bottles. There are 3 separate fruit/vege bins, plus a full width draw at bottom of the fridge for say your deli stuff, or can be used for other things and can cool down faster so good for parties. Pull out freezer drawer is amazing, with multiple levels of internal drawers giving access to everything nice and easy.

Didn’t last
Purchased the fridge less than 4 weeks ago and already the freezer has gone. Opened it to Ice ram soup. Called the place we purchased it from and they wanted to send a technician out. Wasn’t impressed with that so it’s getting replaced on Tuesday. Will think twice about purchasing this product again

a really cool fridge
I didn't think it was possible to love a fridge until I gt this. There is so much storage inside but the best part is definitely the door-in-door option which allows you to keep cans, milk, soft drink etc. all withing the door rather than the body of the fridge. The freezer is just as impressive. It's very quiet too and I barely notice it when I'm not using it. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Great Fridge - Just buy it.
Only had the fridge for 6 months and all works perfectly. It is very quiet and I can not hear it running.
The best feature is the door in door where we put the butter, jam, milk etc so do not have to fully open the fridge for breakfast.
We like the freezer with the couple of sliding drawers and lighting is great as there are LED light everywhere.
It has plenty of ice and water for us but do extra ice before you need it if having a big party.
It has a great CANSTAR rating which I guess it means it is a good fridge.

Do not buy lg fridge. Customer service sucks!!!
The fridge stopped working over 3 weeks ago and they repair man has come back twice and now saying going to be another week before he can get back to check what is wrong with the fridge. The customer service when things go wrong is complete crap. Still not fixed and no hope in sight. The customer service people hang up on me when I ask to talk to a managers as nothing is getting done. Parts are ordered and take weeks to get then not the issue and more parts ordered and still no working fridge.

Great quality fridge!
Stylish design and very spacious with easy access to the high-use food stuff like milk, juices. The fruit and veggies stay fresh for a good period of time. And the water doesn't cool quickly so the 2nd glass is always room temperature. Also, would have liked an egg tray in there somewhere as broken eggs can make things messy. All said it's a great fridge.

A convert!
Quiet! Great water and ice delivery, conveniently laid out with no place for anything to hide! Freezer drawers make organising the freezer a walk in the park. I am sure this is designed for the lazy. Any easier and the food would get itself out of the fridge! Love, love, love it

Plenty of room for small family
We upgraded to this from a small 600lt fridge/freezer. The shelving in this creates great use of the space. The freezer is deceptively large . Only draw back is that the stainless steel leaves fingerprints on it. Which isnt that big of an issue in the scheme of things as it is easily removes with Eucalyptus spray

Best.....Fridge.....Ever
This things keeps every perfectly cold. The easy access door is so useful and easy to use. The size of the drawers in the freezer are the perfect size. The water and ice dispenser makes everything easier and having ice always available is worth the price. The adjustable shelves fit everything perfectly.

Great Fridge
This fridge is so practical with its layout and includes a system called Pure and Fresh. This system keeps my fruit and vegetables fresh for double the time of other fridges on the market. The fact my fridge is at the top, and the freezer is at the bottom, means I don't need to bend or crouch to get anything. With three generous fresh food compartments, there is a fourth large long one, that has the option to be converted to meat, produce or deli.
It has a great ice maker with chilled water and the outer partition of one of the doors open for milk and dairy. Word of caution this is a Big fridge so measure it carefully to ensure it will fit into your fridge space, ours has 2 mm top clearance.

I love my Fridge
This fridge is awesome. The Door in Door provides such easy access to the most used items without making it work harder to remain at temperature. So much space. I love the drawers for sliced meats etc. The freezer is also awesome. Seriously this is the best purchase I have made in 20 years. Sometimes I walk past and give it ahigh five I love it so much!

Great fridge for the family!
Lots of space, love the slim ice maker which has shelves behind it for more storage. Temperature is well-maintained in different compartments and my veggies stay fresh longer. It's also quieter and more elegant-looking than my last fridge. Easy to clean inside coz compartments are removable.
Improvements I'd like to see: adjustable storage for taller drinks to be stored upright accessiblefrom 1st door, better finish that doesn't easily get smudges from fingerprints.

Great fridge. Looks attractive and very efficient
We have had this fridge for one year now and it's been great. We have not had any issues with it and it's super quiet. Good size with a sleek design. The only down side is that it's difficult to keep clean as you see every mark. Well worth the price and purchase.

I love my fridge so much and wouldn't be without it.
It is quiet, so easy to clean and everything is cold enough for us. The ice maker and filtered water attachments are fantastic, we use them constantly. You do have to keep on top of the marks on the outside of the fridge due to it being stainless steel but that is no biggie. The only thing I have found on the detrimental side is the fruit and vege bins. If I had to buy another fridge in the future I would opt for a long deep and wide one rather than the three small ones.

Great Fridge!
Perfect for our home needs, all around good value! Would recommend it to anyone looking to purchase a new fridge, though I would check around at various stores for the best price as this varied heavily. I have never had any issue with the LG brand in the past, including tvs's.

Great fridge!
Very happy with our purchase. Never had a door in door fridge before, wouldn't be without one now, very handy.
Ice and water dispensers work very well. The door with the ice maker is a bit heavy to swing. Plenty of space in all compartments. New fridge is very quiet compared to our previous fridge. Got a great deal from Winning Appliances in Joondalup, including delivery and extra warranty. Stainless steel front is a bit harder to keep clean and is also non-magnetic. Overall though, very satisfied with our purchase.

Would not buy for storage
Purchased Jan 2016 RRP $4799. Paid $3399 to replaced our Samsung Fridge after 5 yrs. ABSOLUTELY Terrible design & space wise. Functionally as a fridge it works. Functionally as a fridge to store food it's a shocker ! looks good on the floor, I liked the idea of not having to open the main door & let out all the cold air. In reality because of the thickness of both doors anything you want to get out of the fridge means you need to open both left & right side doors as there is no shoulder room . It's worse than the side by side Icemaker fridge we...Read more
had before the Samsung ( We got rid of the side by side for that very reason !). Storage is abysmal the 3 small ( & I do mean small) draws in the middle hold very little, the fridge is much less deeper than the Samsung, the pull out draw below it does not pull out very far & the clear perspex cover does not lift up as it did in the Samsung. Try putting a bunch of Celery or Leeks in without having to shorten them to fit. The filter is very small, difficult to replace & expensive. The freezer is much smaller including the sliding centre drawer than was in the Samsung.I don't know how the rated it @ 730 ltrs. I now go shopping 3 times as much as I did with the last fridge. If you don't want to store much in your fridge & you don mind shopping a few times a week,Or you have a very small family this is the fridge for you. Would I buy again. Definitely Not I'm hoping it will fail on Warranty so I can get rid of it.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Do yourself a favour and get one.
Regardless of all the negative reviews, we went for it & have no regrets.
A well laid out fridge with plenty of space & light.
Gentle ice/water machine - (Meaning:- when you fill a glass of water, it doesn't spill over the edge with too much pressure)
Very Quiet.
Previously we had a SMEG, glad we got rid of it. You only pay for a name, look and image with them!
Noisy also, when it used to empty ice in the middle of the night!

Questions & Answers
Simon S.asked
How often do you need to replace the filter
Is the best fridge we have ever purchased
2 answers
Hi Simon
Unfortunately I can not answer this question as we had to return it after having it for such a short period of time.
Well we purchased July 2018, and I think they light came on to replace a month or so ago so looks like filter needs replacing every 6 months(ish). Not sure if it just goes on time or actual water filtered. Either way, we haven't actually changed it yet.
Looking online now, seems you can get 2x filters for around $45 delivered (ebay) so I may just do that soon.

Do both doors open to the same angle? Or does the right one not open as far?

Can anyone verify that there are lights on both the left and right door that shine down into the freezer?
2 answers
Yes there are lights and they are the best. Just like a commercial refrigerator.
Andrew - can you provide me a picture of both of them working? I have the fridge and the light on the left side door that shines down in to the freezer has stopped working. I keep getting told there isn't one on the left side and yet I'm sure there were two working when we purchased it. It's warranty covered as it happened weeks after we bought it but I can't get a pic or proof anywhere that it is a light!
