Very Little Space despite the Size
The Ice Maker uses up a up a lot of the space and the shelves have metal reinforcements that restrict the height of of the shelves and limit the size of containers that you can put in it.
Otherwise the fridge is good with the icemaker working as expected. The slider draws for the freezer make for easy access.

simply the best i've ever used
love the water/ice dispenser, child safety lock. the 2 drawers is perfect for freezer meals in top, and meat etc on bottom. easy to find in dual freezer drawers. the best part of this is the french door style where you can fit long platters, cakes, etc across the whole shelf. love it

Still happy with our LG
We have had this fridge for just almost 4 years. I was annoyed when I read the press reports about LG misstating energy consumption for some fridges so I checked ours out. When we bought it the LG website specification said it was 3 stars, corresponding to the energy label stuck on the front. Last week I had a look at a discount retail chain and the same fridge now carries a 1.5 star energy label. I rang LG and got the run around. After calling 4 different numbers and being fobbed off by the operator at each stage my query was finally elevated ...Read more
to the next level. The supervisor told me that the energy rating was changed 1 October 2009 when all fridge energy ratings were re-classified. I doubt I would have considered a fridge rated 1.5 star energy rating. Having said that, the fridge is very quiet, has great storage and works well. It can take a little juggling to make full use of the freezer drawers. They are not suitable for storing really wide dishes. The ice-maker and water fountain are well thought out. I have read with dismay the comments made by other LG reviewers about LG's lousy service, until now we haven't needed them and hope we never will! Quiet. Flexible interior; easy to store large dishes in fridge. Power consumption.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Life's Not So Good
I bought the fridge new from H.N. I asked them for the best fridge on the market, they advised this one was it.
Now 3 years down still works but I don't like the never ending cleansing of the stainless non touch free exterior. Also don't like the internal filter system. Having to replace it every 4-6 months bloody $55 every time and creates a mess, so having the water unit on front isn't that really good, Also the water dispenser does not lock(child friendly so they can spill water everywhere). When I called LG regarding this they said none o...Read more

The best fridge I've ever owned
Had the fridge for almost a year. Quiet operation. Great interior layout (although I thought that I would get more use out of the internal fridge drawers but in reality I hardly use them). Great having 2 freezer drawers. Everything so easy to find and see at a glance. With the drawers fully open (cannot place fridge in a corner) it is so easy to place platters and trays right on the shel. Easy to adjust internal shelves. Great tall ice and water dispenser, easy to fit tall jugs underneath. Overall very happy.
Flexibility of internal storage

Don't buy a fridge from LG
After 7 months of service the fridge ceased to function, $400 of meat etc wasted, called LG who told me to wait 24-48 hours for a callback from technicians to BOOK to see the appliance, waited 4 days for Wooleys to arrive, they indicated the appliance would be written off, LG notified within 48 hours...after the weekend. LG ring to offer me a replacement, operator couldn't tell me anything about the model or specs, told me I was lucky to be offered a anything... Demanded refund. Told by supervisor "LG does not offer refunds ever.." and offere...Read more
d me a store credit, informed supervisor of statutory rights, offered refund a month later. Receive cheque in the mail 5 MONTHS LATER, food loss claim "lost" told to go to police and get a "stat dec" stating contents and value of food spoiled, informed that the insurance dept. would likely halve the amount "because they see alot of rip offs". Decide to tell my sorry tale on Product Review. Do not buy a fridge from lg, don't risk buying anything from lg, my experience has been a nightmare. Big Unreliable, noisy, marks quickly, prepare for an onslaught of misinformation and delay you need to claim under warranty.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Good
We've had this fridge for a little over a year. I find that even though it's meant to be fingerprint resistant, I constantly have little hand prints all over it. I agree with the other reviewer, that the freezer drawers are a little hard to get used to and they're not as versatile as they could be.
The fridge is fantastic, I love being able to chop & change the way I have the shelves. The water & ice-maker are fantastic, although I find that even though it's supposed to have adjustable ice size, they're all pretty much the same size, not tha...Read more
t that's a problem. I have had to have the service department out, after the seals around the icemaker & the fridge were collecting water & dripping onto the top of the top freezer drawer & leaving a little pool of water. Service consultant was prompt and has ordered the relevant new seals. This is the first fridge i've had with an icemaker and it does take a little getting used to not having the door storage for drinks. Overall a great fridge and i'm very happy with it. Plus it looks fantastic!2 comments

out. I find the fruit & veg drawer too shallow to store large items and also food don't seem to last very long. The layout in the top section is not large enough even though you can adjust the shelves. I bought a plastic carousel that works well and stops little jars, etc. from getting lost in the back. The freezer drawers are also not big enough and the bottom one keeps icing up. It took ages to get the sticky product labels shape off the door once the labels had been removed! I have also noticed 2 tiny spots of rust appearing on one of the doors. On reflection, although it looks very handsome, I think the side by side layouts are much more practical for a family of 5 and am sorry I went for this design as it drives me mad!Get onto LG about the rust & they should replace the doors under warranty. I agree that the fridge isn't as large as it first appears. We still keep a drinks fridge in the garage.

Is the middle draw a freezer? Should the sides of the doors get hot??

I find that fruit and veg go off very quickly. I don't like the very small drawer provided for fruit & veg and also have to use one of the small
drawers. Does anyone have any tips on best temperature to program fridge and freezer?

my fridge is set at 5 & -18. i see both drawers as being very fruit & vege and use the long one at the bottom for storing meat & dairy
Our fridge is set to 3 & 18 and we don't have any problem. If you do some internet research I think you will find that is what is generally recommended.

Your complaints are trivial, I'm looking at dropping 3k on a fridge and your review was not helpful.
