Good Microwave Oven
Before purchasing this microwave we compared it to the equivalent Panasonic model. We considered LG's warranty is superior being 2 Years Parts and Labour and 8 Years on Magnetron (Parts Only) compared to Panasonic 1 year. This swayed our decision to buy LG.
There are sufficient sensor cooking programs and of course the microwave can be manually programmed as required. It is quiet in operation the cooling function (fan) being loudest.
Interior lighting is excellent (LED) allowing easy monitoring whilst cooking manually.

o fit the microwave in a existing opening there are minimum space requirements specified in the manual (15 cm above, 10 cm either side and 5cm at the back) required for ventilation purposes. So far we are very pleased with our the microwave. It is our first LG product.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Large size and powerful microwave oven
This microwave is very powerful, it heats up food more efficiently than some of the ones I found in the office that I am working for.
Features are easy to use, some of the more advance features such as defrost will require a look at the manual though.
Perhaps the showstopper for most people would be the music it plays when the heating finishes. You either like it or hate it as it plays some sort of music similar to video games (something like Mario?). For me it is no biggy and I actually prefer it to the boring sound traditional microwave...Read more
oven makes. Some shortcuts such as pressing the start button immediately sets the timer to 30 seconds and starts heating is really convenient, plus you can increase or reduce the time even when it is heating the food. Not many microwave oven is able to do this so it is a plus. I am actually using the model MS4266OBS, it is actually exactly the same spec as MS4296OBS with the difference that instead of a touch slider to set the timer, you have a physical dial which you can turn to set the timer.Similar opinion? Bad all round
The turn knob comes off easily
There is no 'clock' button to reset or adjust the time - you are only given the 'clock' option if you unplug the microwave which is hard to do when the microwave sits in the kitchen cabinetry
You cannot cook in 5 seconds times i.e. 5, 15, 25, 35 - this is super annoying as a lot of foods that need a quick zap usually only take 15 seconds.
I have had to change to quick oats for porridge as the microwave was taking 6 minutes plus (!) to cook one bowl of traditional oats porridge

o cook lots of food one after the other - quick oat sachets take 90 seconds, the microwave cooks the first bowl at 90 seconds, the second bowl takes 30 seconds longer and the third bowl longer still.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Not working since the 1st use!!
We bought one of these and it was faulty from the first time we used it. The light flickered on/off and the microwave would keep stopping. The only way to get it to work was by jiggling the internal light until the light stayed on. Then it would work for a very short time like 10 seconds before stopping again. Poor quality product, not recommended. Very disappointed!!

A good microwave
I like this microwave, it's pretty quiet during use and the interface is easy to understand. You get a pretty clear view through the microwave door, the lighting inside is very good. It cooks well and seems to have a very even heat distribution. I like that it will keep playing the "end cooking" jingle until you open the door so you don't forget.
My only gripes with the microwave are:
* buttons sometimes don't register touches
* door surface is pretty smudge prone

Great product at a great price
As always with lg the quality is consistent and the prices are always so competitive. The microwave does exactly what you want and looks great and for the price I couldn't be happier. I have had good experiences all round with lg so far and would recommend this microwave for sure.

Peace and Quiet
I love this as it is so quiet after my old microwave. I had an old LG for 20 years and although it served its purpose this is so much better and is very easy to use. This heats evenly and has so many functions I played with it for a long time best purchase I could have made.

This is awesome!
Am very satisfied with the effectiveness of my microwave. Has a terrific reputation and a brilliant user interface. Easy to use and does sound level when in operation is just right (not too loud). Very tough piece of equipment overall and works well for all different types of food. Fantastic overall.

Blisfully quiet
The microwave (in black) looks good. It does show fingerprints easily, but is also easy to clean.
The most overriding impression is of how quiet the unit is, both cooking, cooling, and even door opening/closing.
It is slightly larger than our previous Panasonic unit but not so that it does not fit into the existing enclosure.
The controls are easy to use, clear to understand, and remarkably intuitive. The only drawback is the spin dial sometimes goes backward rather quickly meaning a reset of the time period.

Great microwave
Our 8 year old LG microwave died and we went looking for the new version. We couldn't find exactly what we had to so we had to start checking out the new ones. This one looked far too "out there" for me at first but I started doing some research.
We bought this model from The Good Guys and have loved it ever since!
Once you get used to the new look with the dial on the door and all of the Inverter gadgets you'll love this microwave. It cooks and heats beautifully and even rewards you with a little song at the end of each use - no more boring beeps for us!
Easy to clean and great to use. Highly recommend.

What’s the LG service centre number for PERTH, Western Australia? I get the F-3 error repeatedly and it’s driving me insane.

I purchased my microwave from the Good Guys in Adelaide and contacted them for the address and phone of the company that services LG.
The first time I got a replacement and the second time the door was replaced. I'm hoping I don't see F3 again before the warranty expires.
I suggest you contact your dealer and ask for the LG service details.
Good luck.

Is it normal to have a lot of condensation around the outside of the microwave after use?
2 answers
I haven't noticed but ours is recessed into a cabinet
not on the outside - lots of condensate on the inside
after getting mine repaired (replaced complete door and electronic panel due to water ingress) I'm following repairers recommendation to keep the microwave door open when not in use to keep insides dry and avoid the F3 fault (water inside door electronics) again

What does the dial knob do when it’s pushed in vs not pushed? I can’t find anything in the manual
