After purchase I found there was a lot of plastic in the fittings. Would have preferred all metal. Product was on special so am not disappointed. Wonderful & polite service. Very quick.

We needed a new clothesline unexpectedly. Website very easy to use, order handled efficiently, delivered days sooner than expected. The new clothesline was easy to install and was actually made in Australia - well done.

Great site and great service

published

I was able to find my relevant clothesline on the Lifestyle website very quickly and all the necessary information was provided, plus I was able to purchase the extra bits needed for us to install it. The service was very speedy with a courier dropping off the parcel at our front door and we are in Country Victoria.

Responsive service

I found the service to be excellent. There was a computer glitch with my order so it got overlooked. I contacted them by phone and with many apologies the clothesline was personally delivered the next day. A great recovery!!

Terrible service

published

I ordered a clothesline with installation 2 months ago and I still have nowhere to hang my families clothes. They’re now saying they’re so busy they can’t get here but I’m sure 2 months ago it wasn’t as busy. I’ve demanded a refund but as yet - nothing!

Excellent piece of household kit!

We purchased a Fulcrum Mobile Clothesline to give us more clothesline space and also to free-up space in our small backyard. The clothes line was delivered on time and it was straightforward to put together - my wife and I did it!

Line tensionsing

published

I bought a replacement Hills Hoist clothesline because restringing and tensionning quotes were like 250 dollars. I rang up and discussed my problem and proceeded to buy clothesline with much communication from office staff. Explaining just how difficult putting in a new line or retensioning is because of shoulder issues/health issues. I bought a new line and install it and find I am actually in exactly the same position as the old line. I am told I have bought a cheaper product where manual tensioning is necessary. So now I have a cheaper hoist and with the same problem. It is so loose now the wires have dropped at least another 30 cm from our second attempt and retensioning.

Footing for poles

published

This is my third Hills Expandable cloths line. That talks for the satisfaction. One item really bothers me and that is how no attention was given of how to stabilise the post. The installer told me that in sandy soil you don't recommend expandable cloths line. That is what I and a lot of other people would want in their backyard. Why don't get a structural engineer to give you a footing size for sandy soil instead of telling the customer that she should pick the rotating hoist? It is just a matter of sizing and then you would have a 100% solution for sandy soil as well. Hope that with what I have the post will stay upright.
Thank you for listening.

I found it very easy to deal with Lifestyle Clotheslines, they answered all my questions quickly and when I phoned the lady was very helpful. The installer was on time and efficient. It was easy to arrange this for a rental property.

This is just what we wanted, plenty of clothesline and quite strong for heavy items.

Can the austral foldaway be lowered it's too high for my partner

Yes, the austral foldaway can be lowered

Hi Tony, Yes the Austral Foldaway rotary clothesline can be lowered. It does depend on the position of the bar in the ground socket. There is a bar inside the socket that is set by the user when installing. this controls the height of the clothesline. If the clothesline is to high when in its lowest position, the socket would need to be dug up and the bar lowered in the socket, then re-concreted in. Hope this helps.
