Worst experience, rude staff over phone
Awhile ago bought a coupon from living social and due to their website crashing, it charged me 3x the amount. They would not refund me until eventually after talking to numerous people they refunded me only part of the extra charges. Extremely disappointing.

I dealt with a person called Madhubani from Living Social. It was 2 fold, ordering and paying for 2 courses. Madhubani was able to sort both problems out, was in constant contact, and now I am able to use both courses that I paid for. Very happy, extremely.

Sales fake product
I bought about AUD$200 worth of Swarovski Crystal jewellary. It was not even close to what actual Swarovki Crystal looks like. I asked them to give me some proof that these are Swarovski crystal. They send me a document which says that Swarovski sells crystal to other company. They blacked out the company name from the document as it was not produced for this company. After asking them about it, living social stopped communicating with me. They not only sold fake product but also sent me a fake document.

Rude and appalling customer service
I recently purchased a voucher from Living Social for carpet cleaning from Maxigard. I rang 1300 number upon purchase as advised. Spoke to a man called Andrew who was terse and gave me another number to call. Have called this number twice and left both my home and mobile numbers. No response at all. Responsive and helpful Support Service
I ordered a product that was not the right specification and I informed living social via email. The support person was very efficient and helpful in getting me the right product and sent to me quickly to resolve the problem. This was rather a very unexpected and welcoming experience. I am happy to say to people that you can take comfort when buying products on living social that it would be supported efficiently.

Perfect
I purchased a voucher and didn't realize the expiry date was only 90 days. I then tried to use the voucher and could not use it. I directly dealt with Living Social customer care and they managed to allow me to use the voucher.The customer care was fantastic and their assistance was 100% for the customer.I could not fault them in any way, my experience with the with was truly wonderful

No support what so ever.
Purchased a holiday. $399 fine print said it must be "booked" before 14th December. What it didn't say was it had to be redeemed before this date. Also half of the dates were blacked out as unusable. Tried contacting support three times in five weeks. Absolutely no responce. Finally had to get Paypal, to get me a refund. Will never deal with this company "Living Social" again.

Customer service highly commended
I had purchased a beautician voucher last year. Unfortunately after several attempts to contact the beautician by phone, I went to the shop and found it had closed permanently. I contacted Livingsocial immediately advising them what had happened and they immediately provided me a credit. Yesterday, I went to use the credit on a dinner voucher but for some reason (probably my fault being a first time credit user) my credit wasn't used. I contacted Livingsocial who again, immediately cancelled my voucher and gave me a full refund; in order for me to re-purchase the dinner voucher using my credit. Thank you very much ! :)

Beware: savings highly misrepresented
Buyers beware! Savings are grossly misrepresented and if you found out you've been deceived, no refunds considered! Bought a high tea party voucher for 4 at $288 (claimed value was $570). Found out later that buying direct from the organisers gives better value especial when one's allowed to choose time of sittings, not restrictive per Living Social. Asked nicely if I can get a refund in credit so my gfs n I can book direct with organisers since their savings claim was grossly overstated. 1st reply from them was "no refund for change of mind wh...Read more

Therefore as our deal was $288, it is actually cheaper." That makes $2 or 50cents per ticket cheaper! What happen to the original claim of hundreds of dollars savings? Lesson: Never believe in their savings claim - do your homework before buying anything from them. For you'll never get your money back. July 7th 2017 Update: Beware of saving claims Bought High Tea Party package for myself n 3 other girls thinking we'd be getting a good deal thru Living Social $288 for $570 value. Girl friend just found out that buying the tix through the Women's Weekly themselves offer better value especially we get to choose timing of sittings unlike Living Social restrictive sittings. Asked for a refund in credit so to free girl friends to book directly with organisers. Living Social responded with "we do not accept change of mind for whatever reason." I pressed on telling them they have misrepresented their voucher value/ savings. Their 2nd reply was that they are still cheaper compared to buying direct from the organisers - by $2. Repeatedly Ignored by Customer Service
Bought a couple of vouchers on their website from Aquarius Charters and Cruises 9 months ago but never had the chance to redeem it as the service provider seemed unwilling to let me redeem my vouchers by giving lame excuses each time (e.g., weather not ideal, not currently in Perth, etc).
