not what I expected :-(
I got limited edition of steam pod. Design is pretty... But that's it. I had pod almost three month and really damaged my hair.Every time I use strips my hair dye and dries my hair out badly even I am using cream and hair oils. Previously had Rimington straighteners and never complaint. I am selling it!!never been disappointed so much. Read other reviews and can't believe how girls getting nice and nourished hair while mine experience opposite :-(

love it!
Has made my somewhat unruly hair sleek & shiny. Fabulous product! Also purchased styling creams for Steampod, also very very good.

PPS: My photo is a photo of my dog, whose hair is also somewhat unruly. (She doesn't use the steampod)

Life changing!!!
I JUST LOVE it!!!
One of the best products I ever bought. Really. The result is the same as when I go to my hairdresser for a brushing. Since I've been using it, I'm getting a lot of compliments from friends and colleagues as to how my hair looks great.
For me it's by far the best styler on the market. It does really straights your hair, leaves it shiny and perfectly done (I'm using each time the cream and serum that are usually sold with it. I think it's a must to protect your hair) and the result is long lasting, so you don't need to use ...Read more
it every day. Before I was using a regular styler (I tried GHD eclipse, for me it was a disaster) and I had to do some touch-ups several times a day. Well, not any more. I can only very warmly recommend this product!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Drys out hair
First time my hair was done I was amazed, but I had just come from my hairdresser. I brought one. Have followed all instructions to the letter. But.. Hair is left horrible to the touch, dry and looking harsh, What a joke,I feel like a fool. I will sell mine and go back to my GHD. I could not believe how dry the Steam Pod makes my hair. Such a waste of money and will tell friends and family. Thanks but NO thanks.

Love it!
I had never used a straightner in my life, did not see the point and thought they would be damaging.
A new job required my hair to be tidier than its regular volumous frizzy self and my cousin who has been a sales rep for every hairtool company in the country recommended this one even though she works for a competitor!
I bought mine through a vendor on ebay (hairexpress07) and only paid around $200 for it and though I had never used a straightener before I got great results from the first time.
My hair is soft smooth and shiny after use and ...Read more

Very good but....
I purchased my wife one with a bigger water tank than the one pictured, she loves it. The comb broke and do you think it is easy to get a new one. The place who sold it to us said go to L'Oreal to get a new comb. We did L'Oreal do not sell to the public and said to go back to where we bought it. We did they wanted pictures and model number which is fine. The then came back and said I wanted a 'Cricket Carbon cutting comb C25 and is $7.95 inc GST' its just a normal comb, I had to explain to the original seller do you think I would bother with a...Read more

We ended up telling the original seller to: Since L'Oreal will not sell me on I suggest that you contact L'Oreal directly and ask for the Manufactures Part Number (MPN) once you have the MPN and cost email me that and I'll visit your store and order one. Amazing
I have never been able to straighten my hair, which is very thick and curly, usually unruly. Normal straighten's frizzes and dries my hair, the steampod, has given me silky smooth soft straight hair. Highly recommended to those that have the same issues, so worth the $300 price tag..

Fantastic Straightener, feels cheap and not good for travelling
Don't get me wrong this straightener is fantastic and does an amazing job, best I have tried. Previously I was using an old GHD that I bought about 6 years ago (its still going), however I hated that dry crunchy feeling when frying (straightening) my hair. The Loreal Steampod leaves hair amazingly straight and a shiny, I had comments the first time I used it on how great my hair looked. My hair has never felt dry from using this straightener.
The down sides are it takes a while for it heat up and steam to come out, it feels very cheap and pl...Read more
astic for the high price you are paying, I have noticed it causes hair static and finally this straightener is not practical to throw in your suitcase or overnight bag for travelling - it takes up a lot of room and you also need to pack distilled water. The other down side is you can not really curl with this machine, which hasn't been a problem for me as I love my Rusk Miracurl. Overall this straightener does a fantastic job along as you have different one to take with you when your are travelling and you don't mind it taking up a bunch of space in your bathroom. This item deserves 5 stars for straightening however I have only given 3 because the design and size of this product just erks me. I have love / hate relationship with the Loreal Steampod. Next purchase is a Glampalm straightener.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Omg this thing is truly amazing
OMG I have long fine hair that goes a bit frizzy after I wash it. Usually my hair looks great if I go to the hairdresser and have a blow dry (like most people). I went to the store to buy a straightner but the sales person insisted I try this, as apparently it's like a treatment for your hair due to the steam. I was sceptical! I cannot tell you how reluctant I was to buy this. So he did a demo on my hair and I was shocked at how shiny and straight it looked yet still with a lot of volume (more volume than a professional blow dry I'm finding). I...Read more
keep getting a lot of comments about my hair since I have been using it. I feel like it is the best product I've ever come across for styling your hair at home. It takes me about 10 minutes to do my hair with this. I also tried the GHD and Silver Bullet the same day so could clearly compare all sections and this was heaps better due to the shine! I did not buy the L'Oreal products that came with this appliance so I just use it on clean hair (the guy said it doesn't make much difference if you add the products). I do think like any heat appliance, if you have long hair (especially fine or chemically treated) try and not use it more than once a week and only set it to 170 degrees and don't go over hair sections more than twice. I've only had it for a short period of time so I'm sure after a while my hair will get damaged with over use and not getting regular trims so will make a point to get a trim every 6 weeks. Highly recommended. Truly amazing. I promise you will love it. Shiny shiny hair. Better than a 'straight' blow dry from a hairdresser. Amazingly shiny hair with volume. Wow. I would imagine using it more than once a twice or week would eventually cause damage like any heat product.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Better than GHD
I have very long indian hair( wavy, yet slightly frizzy on top) and have been straightening my hair since I was 15/ 16yrs. Unfortunately after moving from VS steam straightener to GHD my hair was burnt, split ends grew in and my hair dried out. I'm so happy with my steam pod, because my hair is smooth again shiny without using 10 products and the straightening lasts 3-4 days and only takes me 20minutes (same as Ghd) to do my hair which is approx. 28inchs long.
Must buy this product you have no idea what your missing out on.
Finish, steam, temp control up to 240degrees

L'oreal steampod
This is a must have by all. I purchase this from [url removed] for a cheap price last week and it is great. Unlike most straighteners where you would spend at minimum 30-40 mins to only get half the job done. i had more hair straighter then ever in less then 20 mins. highly recommended.
the usability and time saving
only if i found 1 thing. Nothing.

Hair straighter and looks healthier.
The loreal steam pod is definitely a product I would recommend. I'm trying to get length into my hair and other straighteners dry my hair and I have to keep getting it trimmed. My hair is nourished and stays straighter for longer. The steam pod is easy to use and alot of people have commented on how great my hair looks. Very happy.
Straighter hair for longer.
Bit pricey but worth every cent.

Terrible product
The finishing look was great, I am not gonna argue with that. My hair got electric. This seems to be a common issue since two other friends have the same experience. My hair is blond and not very thick and I felt that my hair stick together and when I tried to separate my hair my combing with my fingers very carefully my hair fell off!!! I have taken pictures of it it's awful. So please, don't believe that the Steampod actually is good for your hair since it also treates your hair. It may be better than a traditional iron but the best thing is ...Read more
to not use it at all! My advice to you is to think twice before you buy it. Loreal has tutored all the saloons that sell the product with sales pitches and marketing. Try it at the saloon before you buy it. The finishing look was great, I am not gonna argue with that. My hair got electric. . My hair fell off!2 comments

I couldn't live without my steampod!!!
I've always had frizzy and not quite curly and not quite wavy hair but somewhere in between.. So safe to say I have tried nearly ever hair straightener, chemical straightening and anti frizz product there is on the market but the steampod is honestly in a league of its own!! I got my steampod before Christmas and my hair has never looked or felt to good EVER! Especially with the crazy heat and humidity we've had over this summer my hair still looks perfectly sleek and shiny! I never write reviews but I feel I must share this with anyone that has problematic hair like mine! If you buy the steampod I promise you'll never loo back!
Everything it's a miracle worker

Overall good straightener
The L'oreal steam pod straightens and curls very well. I like the steam feature and comb attachment to detangle hair and spread out the heat distribution on the hair. So far, my hair hasn't got caught on it. This straightener is very easy to use and most people won't have to use demineralised water, tap water is fine. The only down side is the quality of the straightener. It seems to be manufactured very cheaply. Be sure to use the keratin smoothing cream before using the straightener for best results!
Energy saving, varied temperature settings, effective, easy to use
Expensive, poor manufacturing

Good....
The L'Oreal SteamPod Retail version is fantastic. My partner has now used it a few times and the hair remains straight for a few days. However, for an extra $20 - $30 the Professionel version is even better again. I picked mine up on ebay for $299 plus $15 delivered to my door, and I was even able to get three keratin creams for the price of 2. It is an awesome deal. We are now going to give the retail version to one of our family members and just use the Professionel version - Wow!!!
Straightens hair beautifully, easy to use
A little bit pricey,
