What an expensive disappointment

published

We purchased the vulu glider chair that retails for $600 and barely used it while feeding. After 18 months of owning the chair i started to get little use out of it before one day when getting off it the springs broke n the chair base fell to the floor.
As the warranty is only 12 months I was left with the option of fixing it myself. Great service and care, it's probably going to go in the bin as Im not risking it hurting my children or myself.

Horrible and expensive! Waste of money!

published

Purchased months before our baby girl was born.
8 months of use and the base SNAPPED!!!!
It was now out of warranty by a matter of days. Purchased a new base for $50.
Less then two weeks later the arm rest has snapped off from the back it's UNUSABLE it no longer rocks!!!!!!!
The back it's detached on the left side.
What makes it all worse is it broke twice whilst my daughter was in the chair.
She could have been hurt. But neither company will take any responsibility.

Dangerous and unsafe product. Broke after less than 12 months!

published

We purchased the Love N Care glider in late 2015 as an emergency glider for an unsettled baby. After 6 months the chair became loud and squeaky and after 9 months the frame at the base of the chair has broken rendering the chair dangerous and unusable. Do not waste your money on this chair unless you want to be out of pocket! Incredibly disappointing and have emailed both Baby Bounce and Love n Care to see if we can resolve this.

Poorly designed and made, 0 customer service.

published

Brought 2 chairs for 2 rooms. Both were had loose bearings and made loud clicking/creaking noises with 6 months. By 12 months (just outside warranty) both chairs have failed glider bearings and are useless.

Took over 2 weeks and speaking to 4 different people to get an answer out of Lovencare, who will supply replacements at $30 chair plus postage. Unwilling to cover postage costs on faulty products.

The chairs are made using bearing cups that are way to soft and main supports that work loose. Once the bearing cups are worked out of shape they become unrepairable and noisey.

Overall $450 each of 0 supported, poorly made, poorly designed rubbish that are so noisey they wake up the entire house.

Buy elsewhere.

Collapsed With Me And The Baby In It Dumping Us Backward Onto The Ground

published

Collapsed with me and the baby in it dumping us backward onto the ground.

The welds in the chair all broke apart. Fortunately the baby landed on top of me and I didn't let her go otherwise she could have hit the nearby table and been seriously hurt. Glad that didn't happen!

Love n Care Breastfeeding Chair

published

I literally slept in this chair the first 2 nights after my son was born, feeding and nodding off holding him, as this was the most settled for us. I love it & it saved me a million times, I've fallen asleep feeding in it so many times so it's clearly very relaxing, & great for feeding. my daughter actually points to the chair for a feed in her room as she only has a few words so far. Recommend to anyone serious about breastfeeding. (she's now 17months & still using)

Super comfy

published

I absolutely love this chair. it is amazingly comfortable and can even recline until you are almost in a flat position which is great if you fall asleep feeding. I also have this in our very very small room and it fits perfectly

I am unsure of why there are comments of the chair being squeaky as mine does not make a sound (perhaps they should use some WD40)
Really comfortable

broken, squeaky, disappointing

published

Poor back support, poor cushioning (sore back, sore bottom, numb arms when holding baby and using arm rests) constant need for WD40 and then the arm rest broke :-( not even 18 months of occasional use out of it. Very disappointed. We are now in the process of looking for a decent chair that will last through the breastfeeding journey with us... Intact!
inexpensive
squeaky, easily broken, poor cushioning/support

Waste of money

published

If the squeaking didn't put me off, the fact that the base broke sure did! The welding just came undone. I can't believe how weak they made this chair. It's for breastfeeding and you'd think more care would be taken to make sure it doesn't just fall apart!

I am now looking to buy a second hand pine one off ebay.
Easy to assemble and looks nice.
It broke after only 18 months

Excellent

My mother bought this for me and i love it. It now is in the babys room (which isnt huge) and i used it for the evening feeds and for cuddle times or for reading a book before bed. I have slept in it a couple of times when baby has been particularly unsettled and it was very very comfortable. I love the side pocket and was useful for tissues, breast pads etc. Spillages are easy to clean with a cloth. I got this on special and it was under $300.
Soft and comfortable
Can lock in position
Ottoman also glides
Easy to clean
Has a side pocket
Easy to set up
Not too expensive
Didnt use the ottoman much (its now in the garage).

chairs are personal preference for comfort as this one was definately my favorite after trying out a few in the shop. I am very happy with the purchase got it on special which made it even better
soft fabric, cushions in all the right spots, chair piece is slightly tilted up so resting your legs is at a great height.Arm rest is at a great height for resting your elbow on whilst feeding
nothing really only the black metal with the sand fabric is a little odd but thats purely asthetic
