Greatly Underrated Service
I called Lubemobile to come and repair a 25 year old Corolla that I had borrowed whilst I was stuck in country due to Covid19. The service provided was exceptional and great value for money. I would definitely recommend them.

Mobile Again!
Stranded at Eye and Ear Hospital on the Park. Another roadside assist company was unable to repair my car. Enter Lube Mobile. They arrived on time, with the correct parts and got me going with a minimum of fuss. I will use them again!

No-one likes paying for work on their car, but good service makes it bearable
My problem had been misdiagnosed by the roadside assistance mechanic, but Ben took me through what was actually required in a clear and concise manner, and worked diligently to complete the work. The car now drives really well. More than happy to recommend to others.

positive no fuss experience
from initial phone enquiry /after hours/ to call back next day to quote, booking procedure was all very smooth and no fuss. Mechanic arrived at stated time with work performed cleanly and efficiently. One procedure could not be performed at site so was done in a workshop. As vehicle was unlicensed a test drive was not possible, however I was advised to have a wheel alignment as soon as practicable. First time user will not hesitate to use again

Overcharging
I raised this issue with Lube Mobile about 3 months ago till now no response. It seems the company has no set hourly rate for mobile jobs. Every technician has his own price. I had this LM guy by the name of Kuljeet Van M35 who came to service my 2018 Honda CRV. The last time my car was serviced by LM but by a different technician, I paid $186 for the oil and filter change. When Kuljeet arrived this time to service my car, he gave me his job estimate for $430. I objected then he finally charged me for $340. My car was new and did not require much work. I could have gone to Honda about $240 for same service. Beware of being ripped off by these guys.

attempted to fleece wife out of thousand dollars for items which were not required for a basic service
We organised a quote online for a late model hatch back vehicle basic service which is usually just a oil filter and oil change and inspection, and we accepted the online price was competitive so we booked an appointment. When the mechanic arrived he took the vehicle for a test drive started inspecting the vehicle and came up with a list of items which he advised should be repaired, these items were "passenger and drivers side wipers", "4 tyres which are only 8.5 months old", "4x spark plugs" which he showed us after removing claiming they were...Read more
corroded ( i could clearly see it was carbon deposit and it wiped off) he then quoted us over a thousand dollars for items which were not required we only needed the basic service as it was due, then he made us sign waivers for all these other items. Then the basic service begun and finished in around 30 mins. Mechanic went for a 2 kilometre test drive and said everything is fine. I drove the car immediately to automotive store around the corner and straight away the engine light came on i turned around and went home called the lube mobile hotline to get the service man to return to repair his mistake he made. What had happened was the temperature sensor was not reconnected after refitting the covers and pipes and the engine light was on the dash. Whilst i was talking with the service man" he says he had worked for over 10 years at lube mobile" and he was saying how" he owns hsv high performance V8 vehicles"...does he really care about his customers at all??Similar opinion? Fantastic service on time and on budget!
The online enquiry and subsequent booking for the service I required was quick and easy. I was quoted and arranged the service date and time. I received an sms when the mechanic was on his way with the option to track his arrival. Cody arrived on time, carried out the work efficiently and within the quote ie no unexpected add ons! Highly recommend!

Good, easy car service.
Lube mobile arrived on time, communicated well, mechanic discussed my service that was due and what was being done. Service was done at my home where I could wonder over and see everything being done to my car and ask any questions. Cost were good. Recommended.

False and misleading
I needed urgent brake replacement and jumped online to see if I could find a local mechanic. Lube Mobile provided an online quote to replace all 4 pads and rotors for $600. I thought this reasonable and booked them in next day. Mechanic arrives and assesses brakes. Says only the front need replacing, though the parts are difficult to source and there is only one variant available as its a BMW. As result, with parts and labour to replace the front only is $1200! After some discussion he was prepared to do the work for $1000, and he explained wel...Read more
l enough why the work/parts were expensive. He seemed reasonable but the quoting from Lube Mobile is completely dodgy.. the mechanic himself said that under quote to win the work! This is misleading and deceptive. I call Lube Mobile to complain. The service representative said he would have a manager return my call. Soon thereafter I received a call from a 'manager' who said there are additional charges as the mechanic is on road and needs to maintain his vehicle and tools. When he realised that this was a less than satisfactory response for me and that I was expecting Lube Mobile to have some integrity between the quote and the charge, he advised that he would need to get a manager to return my call, but they are all in a conference.. What crap, never using Lube Mobile again - ACCC should look into their quoting practices.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

If You Want To Get Ripped Off 100% Then Book Dupe Mobile I Mean Lube Mobile.
Was going to my local mechanic to get my car checked and the car didn't start so I checked on google for any mobile mechanic and I found their website and it their website has good reviews so I rang them and for a checkup they told me it was $78 which was cheap so i booked the appointment, plus points cuz the guy named [name removed] b54 arrived within 20 minutes, told me the starter motor, carbon filter, battery needs to be replaced charged me $1400 for it. I said ok cuz i was desperate and while hes doing the job i checked again on google t...Read more
he reviews and i was horrified reading the complains on ieatwords.com and google reviews against this company and that mechanic [name removed] who rips people off. So I went back to him told him just replace the battery and ill just pay for the work he did charged me $600+, he even remove parts of the car which was unnecessary and he charged me for it for him to put it back, next day I went to my local mechanic told me the car was fine nothing was wrong with it, only the battery needs to be replaced. I cannot imagine why this kind of people exist, they wake up in the morning to work where they rip people off. Just bad people. You will have a bad day if you deal with this company. If he was honest with me from the start then I will always book them as its convenient cuz they go to your house, but they make a choice to be bad to you and rip you off. No good.Similar opinion? BE WARNED!! Totally dishonest and VERY happy to rip you off!!
I wish there were NO STARS - they don’t even deserve 1
I called Lube mobile out of pure desperation as my regular mechanic was unavailable and I needed my car back on the road ASAP.
I had a fault on my car and called Lube mobile for a price to come and diagnose the issue.
They quoted me $75 and emailed me the same figure which I accepted although I had never paid to have a car diagnosed before.
The mechanic arrived and mentioned that he did not have the exact computer for my car. His computer was generic and may not pick up the fault. I became ...Read more

Will never use again
Booked online and got email to say callout fee was reduced to $89. [name removed] arrived on time but said he couldn’t diagnose what was wrong with the vehicle and we would have to get the car to their workshop, which defeats the purpose of calling a mobile mechanic. Charged $130 with no diagnosis, so totally a waste of time and money. Will never use again.

Sunny G.asked
I booked in for fuel pump replacement, gave details of the car and everything, got the quote of $825,next day mechanic turn up and say we do not have the same fuel pump but have the other one cost about $1500 . And charge me $140 for just turning up to say that.
My concern is if you have the details, have the vin number. Why cant you tell the changes of price over the phone so we can make up our mind the same time. Why should you send the mechanic to say that..
1 answer
hi sunny they, should stick to their quote of $825.00, they should not charge you that $140.00, looks to me office error, they should of known this, and they should of asked the mechanics who do the jobs again sort it out with their office, also get another quote from another mobile mechanic and if you have time, look on line and buy the part/part with kits yourself and ask them to do labour only, that's your call, I find them easy to get along with, again talk to their office staff/manager/supervisor, I have no issues with them, I give them 10 out of 10 with efficiency, on time, value for money, do not rip you off as a lot off competition out their, reliable, neatness, polite, been around awhile, I have used them for about on and off 12 years, I hope this helps you sunny, regards steven, tuesday 5/may/2020, 11.00 am, morning

Some of these glowing reviews read like advertisements and just don;t ring true. When people get a good service they tend NOT to write reviews- the one son here just seem too damned false.

Hi Sam, you are right. It usually does not seem true but this one is. Same day service, 2 hours+ on the job with full explanations along the way. The mechanic Lube Mobile sent me -Nick- is a European car specialist and was able to answer all questions without hiding the potential costs and issues. I really liked the fact that I got a quote through their online chat but the final decision of what to include in the service was made by me with the mechanic after full inspection and a test drive. In this case, the review was totally deserved and I will call on Nick again, especially as we are planning a trip to the Kimberley mid-year.
No Sam genuine comments best service I have ever had
I'm not denying people have had good service from Lubemobile or ALL reviews are false. Just some sound too exalted!. I've used Lube Mobile 5 times and it's been a bloody expensive exercise. The last time I was quote d$600 to replace some things and they wanted cash to go off a buy them and return the next day. I took my car to my local mechanic in Surry Hills who I know is always right (but expensive) and he said it was a totally wrong diagnosis and he fixed it foe under $400. The very first time I used Lubemobile they left a battery lead barely attached which caused major headaches with the car going dead at traffic lights etc. An honest electrical mechanic pointed it out for a n agreed turnout fee of $100. I've said previously- Lube Mobile DO NOT do roadworthy certificates themselves but they state they do. This is false advertising. They may inspect your car or take it to another garage but they DO NOT issue certificates themselves so you cannot eb sure the RTA will receive that certificate and a day's delay by whatever third party Lubemobile used cost me a $550 fine when i thought the certificate had been sent to the RTA. Hence my complaint to Fair Trading. I would NEVER allow myself to be in the hands of a mechanic who has you over a barrel now when your car breaks down and you are stuck somewhere. Peace of mind with the NRMA so you can have your car towed at minimal cost to your mechanic of choice. I'd rather hire a car for a few days as I reckon it's cheaper in the long run.
