Motor noise and slow

published

Fan is making grinding noise, and stopped going to high speed. it is with remote control. so if I start at first speed level it barely move and at 2nd it appear that its moving but no breeze.
it might be the faulty motor. These are around five year old, recently changed one as stopped working with the same fan as it match the room style.
These fans motors suppose to last at least for 10 years.

Purchased in May 2021 for A$250.00.

No air circulation and noisy

published

Bought my Airfusion Airlie II Eco Series ceiling fan eleven months ago and would never buy one again. There is no airflow, even on the high speed. Have tried switching between both the winter and summer switches and it has made no difference. I suspect the blades have lost their curvature and are also dropping. Still under warrant but am going to have it replaced with a new brand and throw this one straight into the bin.

NOT WORTH BUYING AS ITS A LEMON

published

Ceiling fan not blowing any cool air. WE purchased this fan in December 2018 and have only used it for a few hot nights in Dec and January. Its still under warranty, and we go buy a better one without plastic blades. We paid an electrician to come look and he said the Plastic blades are the fault, as they are drooping and sagging and not generating any air. Also its a noisy fan, not suitable for our bedroom. We are going to bin the fans as they are useless. Lesson learn, first look on google for reviews before you buy.

Thanks Debbie, but we have bought a new fan from another company and it will be installed in two weeks time. I see on the reviews that others are having lots of issues with the LUCCI brands as well.

Thank you for your review Praveen. A licensed electrician should be able to assist you with diagnosing what is wrong with your fans.

Cheap fans with obvious design fault is the glass dome for light. Dome is stuck and I am unable to change bulb.

Fan power good
Fan works ok
Design of light fitting let’s the fan down.
The light blows atleast once a year. Glass dome is not stuck making the light impossible to change. This is a design fault

Our three lucci fans are all going so slowly that they offer no relief from heat after just a few years... they cost three hundred each and although they are outside warranty time period I feel lucci should assist as they are all underperforming and would cost over $1,000 to replace ... if there are any suggestions it would be appreciated ....from mal

Don't recommend buying Lucci fans

published

Purchased 5 Lucci Futura Eco 52 ceiling fans/lights in Dec 2011. The 3 fans that are used the most have issues with the speed control. All have lost high speed and other speeds vary between fans. Contacted Beacon Lighting who put me onto an electrician. He bypassed the capacitors (speed control) on each fan and the speed was still slow. He said it was a motor issue. Contacted Beacon Lighting about replacing the motors but they came back saying the motors were no longer available and the only option was to buy new fans. After spending $1,900 on these fans, I would have expected them to last much longer. There are obviously quality defects with these fans as others here have had the same issues. I won't be purchasing Lucci fans again.

Yeah... nah.

Lucci is Beacon’s house brand of landfill fodder. Cheap china junk with big margin. Poor design of oyster dome means it jams. Halogen globes blow constantly (though the newer model is now LED and likely more reliable). Fans are often poorly balanced out of the box and require fiddling with weights on blades to balance. Motors eventually seize or wall controllers fail. Have had four of these in my home now all replaced with a different brand over last seven years. 2 year warranty is not good enough. Two years is only two summers and a product like this should last 15 years or more. Only thing they are good for is keeping electricians busy earning coin from installing and then replacing.

Impossible to change the bulbs when they blow

published

I bought three Futura fans from Beacon Lighting less than a year ago - two of the fans have lights in them. These fans seemed fine, until both blew the light globes in under a year. I'm finding it impossible to remove the glass bowls to get to the light globes. I'm going to have to pay for an electrician to change the globes, which is ridiculous!

Metricon Home Build

House build was very good, however, they use Lucci fans from Beacon Lighting. Fans look good but the switches have failed twice in six months. The switches cannot be turned and can be seen to arc which is very dangerous.Waiting to hear back from Metricon on this matter.Have recommended they don’t use these fans in future builds.

not worth buying

published

bought 4 of these fans June 2014, the one used daily didn't last 18 months. Couldn't find receipt for warranty so had to purchase another January 2016 as i didn't want odd fans on ceiling. Now 24 months along replacement fan is failing the same way, so they are good fans for decoration only just don't use them regularly. Seems that i will be replacing all fans with another brand, but wait having a sparkie at hand found out its only a capacitor used in the units that's failing, $1.50 part on ebay !!! For a sparkie very easy fix, so i was lucky i held onto the 1st one that died and will get him to repair both, but only because it will save me $1000 plus to replace all fans.

Don't buy this product. Warranty.. takes a month before they comes and have a look at it

published

The fan was installed 3 months ago and all of a sudden the fan and light not working. Spoke to Beacon Lighting and was told to fill in the warranty form. Takes a week before they reply and it will take another 3 weeks before they come and have a look at it. At the mean time i am left without the main light and fan in my lounge room. They said that they need to get the spare from the Eastern State. But they do have spare remote in one of the local Beacon light shop locally in Perth.
