Good comfortable pack, not built like the old macpacs

published

Comfortable pack to wear. Rain protection is good for the little person being carried. Be careful when putting the pack down. My one was torn on the stretchy elastic part that basically sits on the ground when you put the pack down after only 2 uses to a total of 10km. I would rather carry the extra 100g and have this made out of a rugged material that can be placed on any ground conditions. As I have found out a rip in this material is not covered under warranty so be weary when placing the pack down and not to brush past any bushes/ trees. I wish they could go back to making a slightly heavier pack out of the rugged canvas. Old school Macpac lover.

Excellent

We used this Macpac while travelling overseas with a 16 month old. It was a dream to use. Every time we put our child into this carrier, they fell asleep! It is comfortable for both child and adult to wear for extended periods. The mirror is invaluable for checking out what is happening back there in the 'pod'. We were able to fit enough spare clothing in the large base pocket for two adults and our child and then used the zip off day pack as a nappy bag. We have also used this carrier for bush walking and it is very easy to wear. We were still using this carrier when our child was four years old. Highly Recommend.

Were going up north in May our daughter is 14kg, how hot will we get with this backpack?

The backpack itself has a great back ventilation net. Really you just have to make sure the pack is fitted properly so the weight is on your hips not your shoulders. Just keep in mind 14 kilos of anything will increase your exertion.
