Hi Winnie, yes it can go up to 160 in the STIR FRY function. You just need to download the software update for the Cook Expert to achieve this. More details here: https://www.magimix.com.au/cook-expert_update-program

Robynasked

Hi, I’ve only just purchased the magimix cook expert and am still familiarising myself but I’ve struggled to find the info on cooking brown rice. Other rices are easily located but I cannot seem to find the instructions for brown rice In the cook book or the app. I’m assuming it would be a lot different to the white. Does anyone have any idea?

Hi Robyn,

With Brown Rice there may be a need to increase the water and cooking time. Perhaps trial this by increasing the time & water level to gauge the best result as it may vary from different types of brown rice.

Is it a Pressure Cooker? Does it cook soup & stews quicker than ThermoMix

1 answer
Nana
Nana

This is not a Pressure Cooker but can cook soup and stews. I think it would be similar cook time to ThermoMix. However Magimix can do a warm setup for a couple hours so I sometimes use it like slow cooker. The bowl can be heated up without moving the blades.

on the large food processor bowl how do you take it apart to clean?

1 answer
Magimix
Magimix A.Magimix

Hi Tom, are you referring to dismantling all parts of each component (ie: lid, bowl) or how to take off the bowl and lid from the machine?

The individual components are not designed to be dismantled. Just a quick hand wash will do the job.

Thanks
Magimix.

Just wondered if you can temper chocolate in the Magimix Cook Expert. Also, can you make caramel? I love making homemade sweets!

2 answers

Magimix A.Magimix

Hi Barbara, yes you can temper chocolate as the Cook Expert operates on an induction heating system allowing for accurate heating.
To make caramel you would need to reach approx. 175 degrees. The Cook Expert reaches 160 degrees.

There are many types of desserts you can make with the cook expert. Feel free to download the app to see our database of dishes.
We also have a specific desserts cook book available. https://www.magimixau.com.au/spareproduct.php?itemno=461151

I have a small kitchen and will need to keep it on a shelf and move it to a bench to use. How easy (or not) is it to move the unit around? I see it weighs 11kg and I'm not worried about the weight but is it easy to get your hands underneath the unit and lift it?

1 answer
Magimix
Magimix A.Magimix

Hi Squid!
Yes it is quiet easy to move it around. The Cook Expert has four rubber feet which allows the base of the machine to sit slightly higher off the bench. You can then get your fingers under the base and lift as necessary.
Hope this helps.

May I use it as a air fryer? May I stir fry dishes at a high temperature? May leave the dough inside to ferment? And is there a magimix expert within Penshurst NSW area or place nearby so I can have a test?

1 answer
Magimix
Magimix A.Magimix

Hi Viola, The cook expert cannot be used as an air fryer.
You can stir fry with the download of an update from our website which gives you higher temperature setting (160c) and a stir fry function.
You can leave dough in the bowl and set it to a low temperature to proof.
We currently do not have a demonstration in your are however you can watch the Cook Expert on TV on Channel 14 TVSN on 18 Sep @ 6.30pm

Does the Magimix Cook Expert replace a blender, food processor, air fryer and/or bench mixer?

In general, why don't companies place a full and detailed manual inside the box? I find this extremely irritating as apparently, do many other consumers.

for me the cook expert has replaced a blender; food processor and bench mixer. In addition to those a bread machine, as it will mix dough's as well.
hope this helps
