Way too Expensive
Had a dishwasher problem. Charged $203 call out and wanted a further $680 for completion.
So $803 in total. Technician was very unfriendly - bordering on rude.
Rang Fisher and Paykel and they sent someone out for half the price and job was completed in half the time and the technician was friendly an helpful.
I will NEVER use Master Appliance Service again.

Massive gouge on parts price
We paid Master Appliance Service to look at a failed Bosch washing machine. They diagnosed a failed control board and told us the replacement part would be $625 plus GST (ie, $687.50). That seemed very high, so we didn't authorise. Looking on Bosch's website, the RRP for the part is $349 - including GST. Big Warehouse Spares has it for $276. We rang Master Appliance Service back to ask if they could supply the part for the correct price. They told us they don't care what Bosch sells the part for and told us to go elsewhere.
So now I have to pay another call out fee to get an honest repair company to come out instead of these rip offs

Washing machine service by Arpan
I found Arpan the service man to be very efficient. He left my laundry and appliance (washing machine) clean and tidy. Also the lady answering the phone for Master Appliance Service was polite and helpful.

Unreliable Product
I have read some of the reviews and I am not sure what products they are talking about but I have had so many problems this is not the first time I have has problems with their dishwashers. I waited about two weeks after making the claim. The service man came out to have a look and found a problem. I received an email about a week later saying the part had arrived and I have to let them know when they can install. I am now tld I have to ait another 2weeks before they can come out. I have told my friends not to buy this product.

LG Front Loader 10kg washer, do it yourself!
Hello,
I sought an expert professional service rather than tamper with something I know nothing about.
The technician was well-groomed, courteous and polite.
The advice after >20 minutes of his time, at a cost of $172-21, was that we needed to scrap the machine and buy a new one because;
a) The core drum and motor had failed plus the heater outlet duct had failed and
a "wafer path" had failed,
for which parts were no longer available and any attempt at repair would be more than it is worth.
On knowing that and given the cost of an equivalent machine was >$2K, I decided to have a tinker.
I found the following:
1. Drain pipes were blocked with sludge, Leading to...Read more

Poor customer experience
My dishwasher wasn’t working and I booked a service online. I was given a window for repairs between 8.30am and 12.30pm. By 1.00pm, the technition hadn’t arrived. I called Master Appliance services who said the technition was running late and would contact me within the hour. The office then called to say the technition couldn’t make it. I had taken the day off work and was not prepared to take another off while I waited for them to arrive. As I was explaining this in a courteous way the lady in the office hung up on me. Very poor customer experience and I would never recommend this group.

Don't service areas they advertise
Searched for oven repairs in Penrith and contacted them. Received a reply they don't service this area as it is out of their service area? Odd as they show in search results for Penrith and even have a page for Penrith. False advertising.

This used to be a first class service first company.......
I have been using Master Appliances for many years without a problem. And on this occasion the technician rang on approach and was perfectly timely. I'm not sure if his training included a Miele Speed Oven because he spent a while consulting the manual, making phone calls, switching off the general power, and pulling the appliance out of the cabinet to no avail. He finally said that it was a 2 man job and that I should contact Miele directly. I responded with a surprise 'Pardon?' and he asked me for pen and paper so he could write Miele down, te...Read more
stily suggesting that I was hard of hearing, rather than surprised that he didn't have a clue. He was arrogant and aggressive and when I told him that he was rude, he said he was frustrated and impatient. I was relieved when he left. A few hours later my teenage son arrived to use my washing machine. He is a history major and knows nothing about electronics. Within 5 minutes and without adjusting the power source or position of the oven, but with the simple use of the manual, fixed the problem. I decided to ring Master Appliances to complain and received what is probably the worst response someone in the service industry can give. Equally rude, she said that the tech had never been complained about (suggesting that I was the only person in this situation) No apologies for the inconvenience, that I had waited 3 weeks for a service call where noting was achieved. Your staff is in dire need of public relations training.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Do not use this company. They are scammers!
Although the company is based in sydney they will take bookings from anywhere. I am in perth and I booked a technician to come and fix my oven. I gave them the model number and described the fault yet the man did zero preparation. He arrived with no knowledge and no parts and then charged me $172 for the call out and the "diagnosis". He said he would come back with the correct part but a few days later he texted me to say the part cannot be obtained. I then got a real repairman in and he found that the "diagnosis" I paid for was incorrect anyway. This company is a scam and a con. Do not use.

Appalling Service and Fees
Had a Master Appliances technician come out to attend to the heater of my Fisher and Paykell Fridge. The technician was only here for two minutes and disconnected the heater. Master Appliances charged $175-00 for the two minutes work and I had to move the fridge by myself as well without the technician's assistance. Master Appliances were to send a technician the next day as he did not have the part with him. A few days later, after not hearing from Master Appliances, I contacted them again to see when they were coming to fix it with the correc...Read more
t part. Master Appliances then told me it will be another 10 working days - In the mean time the fridge started malfunctioning. I then got the official Fisher and Paykel tech to come out the next day and he fixed it immediately with the correct part! Find someone else
My washing machine was playing up - stopping mid-cycle and making a banging sound when spinning. Master Appliance Service drained the hose and tightened some bolts. This seemed to fix it but the issues resumed after 2 months. Their warranty lasts 1 month and after that too bad, pay again. It would have been cheaper to buy a new washing machine. They couldn't care less.

Excellent
Peter came to repair two of our malfunctioning washing machines. He was quick and fixed both in no time at all. No parts were required, so there was no wait to get machines working. Very professional and clearly knew what he was doing. Thank you Peter!
Edit: Also, booking the service online was very quick and easy.

Serviceman we had let his company down terribly. One receptionist was very rude and particularly unhelpful.
At the same time our dryer broke down- the door would not close properly, our ovens both died.
Having had a great service from this company in the past I called them again. We had a serviceman who was lacking the competence we expected.
Firstly our oven required replacing- he measured it and gave us incorrect measurements- I rechecked before going out to buy an oven and discovered he was 20 cm out!
The dryer required a spare part and because it was the new year period we were not too distressed waiting for 10 days for it.
He came out again a...Read more
nd turned the dryer around and then called me in to point out a crack in the corner of the front of the machine (that I had never noticed) . He went to great lengths to tell me he did not do it. I kept silent as it would not affect the machine working. Unhappy as I was, it was not a huge crack. The dryer worked for 1 load before it failed again.1 comment

Don't forget to ask what their mark up on parts is?
Recently had oven fixed at great expense. Technician was helpful and Master Appliances went to
great trouble explain their high labour charges. $110 to turn up and then $30 per 10 minutes.
Cost about $140 first time. Quoted around $300 for new part and to fit. As house was going on market time was of the essence. Took around 25 mins to fit new part. when I received the invoice the part was charged at $199 plus GST and in addition $12 freight. Total Cost for job was around $430. The cost of the part to buy is around $69 which means they marked i...Read more

the call out fee before we attend for service to avoid any dispute. Our $140 Call Out fee is lower than most of our competition, as I explained to you. We quoted the part and labour to fit this part and you accepted this quote. We attended in your requested time frame, time being of the essence, and completed the repair. I expect that the part you had been quoted on was not the part we replaced as our cost was significantly higher. We use original manufacturers parts and give a 12 month warranty on parts.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Questions & Answers
Russell Morrisasked
Who is the manager of the Revesby office and how do I contact that person? I have left a message with the receptionist without a response.
1 answer
Still waiting for a response. My experience with this company has been disgraceful.
The so called technician scratched my bench top, bent a jet on my stove then blamed me. He then crimped the gas hose and refused to replace it. He stormed out abusing me as I was questioning why I had to pay for a replacement hose. I checked the price of a hose, $15.00.
2) I rang the office, after explaining my concerns and asking for the manager, I requested a call back, I’m still waiting, she then rudely hung up the phone.
So after paying over $600.00 I have a stove working at 80%.
To top this off we received a letter asking for payment otherwise they would remove their parts.
Regretfully we had already paid their invoice, once again rude person on the phone hung up, no apologies for threatening to remove the parts. Just another stuff up by this company.
DO NOT USE THEM!
Peter P.asked
Do you fix Kleenmaid freestanding ovens? The main oven door hinges are loose, they were never very good, and the small oven doesn't work well.
