Just keeps getting better
Have had a Dolphin for years with no problems but decided to get a new S200. It is so much lighter and so much easier to clean the basket than the individual cartridges. Also like the programming feature where you can set it to come on at pre-defined times during the week.

Quiet; low maintenance & practical
Surprising how quiet and how fine a debris it collects. Totally seperate, means the rubbish isn’t going back into the filtration system. Cleaning the machine is basic; simple and fast.

Good Product
I would say works very well compared to cleaners that attach to the skimmer box. Only disappointment is that after 12 months the rubber tracks have got loose and fall off mid cycle. Steven

Wrapped with my new Dolphin S200. Pool has never been so clean and my life is so much easier. Why did I wait so long
On I single cycle the pool is cleaned from top to bottom.
Picks up flowers stems and what ever dirt or dust makes it too the bottom. Collects the fine particles that manual cleaning just cannot.

Happy with the purchase
I was originally hesitant to spend the extra money on a robot, but it does a great job. It vacuums and scrubs the pool in a 2 hr cycle without getting tangled in its cable. Scrubs the waterline and navigates the internal steps. I’m also surprised how much fine debris and algae this thing picks up, even when I think the pool is clean. Very happy with the purchase!

Motor issues
I have had one 3 years, after the first year it quit working, dealers said after a month they couldn't figure out what was wrong. I got a new one. Now, a year later, it did same thing. Dealership said motor. Awaiting for motor to be replaced again. To much money for this only to last a year or two

No more stress!
Just merely looking at my pool gave me stress - not any more! I am surprised at how well the cleaner sucks up leaves and dirt & that's without even using the fine filter. I thought I'd be able to manage without the caddy, but realised soon after it's necessary mainly to keep all of the cords neat & tidy. Didn't go for the s300 with the self controlled steering app - the s200 works fine. Shop around to get the best price as this saved me just under $400.

Great Pool Cleaner
Vacuums and scrubs pool at the same time easily picking up leaf litter (gum leaves). Simple set and up operation, cleaning filter is a breeze. Unit itself is lightweight compared to our last robot. Very happy, does a great job.

perfect pool cleaner
I have the Dolphin S 200 over 3 years and be more than happy with it. large pool (9,5x8) with steps etc., does the job perfectly. the pool cleaner runs in summer every day 1-2 times, rest of year twice a week usual. easy to clean, just look out sometimes in the ventilator stucks nothing, if pull out with fingers, not big deal, if u do not the motor is not running. the filter are now due for replacement after over 3 years of using a lot.

Very poor design
Cleaning algorithm good.
Picks up leaves and stuff.
Leaving in pool deteriorates motor housing which is held by clips, not screws which break, this destroys motor and cct board for extensive repair.

Doesn't pick all the litter -Solved
I recently purchased Dolphin S200 to replace my Zodiac CX20, and though it covers the entire pool, i'm bit disappointed as it's not picking up all the leaves from the pool. After running it for 2 hrs I see quite a few leaves dispersed at the bottom of the pool. For a price of $1899, I was expecting a much better product than this.
I Spoke to Maria from Maytronics subsequently, who advised me to mix the filter types (fine v/s ultra-fine) so the water flow can be faster, this has helped significantly and the cleaner has been able to pick all the leaves.

Very disappointed
Part of the conversation when I made the purchase was that we keep the pool open year round. Problem is, it won't pick up leaves. They clog the thin opening.

Extremely disappointed with product and customer service. I would not recommend this pool cleaner or the maytronics company. Having had the cleaner for 2 years and going into the 3rd year it has stopped working. Not a quality product or value for money given it cost over $1500 even in a sale and now will not go.

The robot is out of warranty so I am bemused as to why you are so insistent that we go through a process which will cost us more money then necessary on a product which is already ridiculously overpriced given the quality. To put it into perspective for you, your product is over 3 times the price it is to replace a solar hot water control system and sensors to the pool and more expensive then the replacement chlorinator, neither of which have failed in 2 years or are out of warranty!Similar opinion? Poor value for money
Bought in 2015 at a 'special' price of $1400, this has probably been in the pool less than 100 times. The main power supply unit went just inside the warranty period and was replaced under warranty - no issues there, the company response was exactly what I would have expected. They replaced it after confirming it was faulty.
The unit has been in storage over the last winter having been thoroughly cleaned and packaged away, it was brought out 4 weeks ago and was used in the pool for 3 cycles on the fist weekend to get the pool back to clean. Ha...Read more
s been used two weekends since without issue but today it simply will not start. I have no issue with the unit's ability to clean, it does that pretty well, but I think that $1400 for something that I'm supposed to be able to use multiple times weekly can't even see out something like 100 uses. Really disappointed and just can't recommend this unit to anyone who is expecting it to provide a reasonable service life given the price. Cleaning ability probably deserves 4 - 5 stars, reliability = 3, value for money = 1. That all probably adds up to 2.5 stars so I have given it 2, I just couldn't bring myself to give it 3 stars.Purchased for A$1,400.00.

I am preparing to buy a high end maytronic cleaner. The guy in the shop said it would last about 10 years. $2000, a bit on the high side, but reasonable. So i want to know how i will be treated when i need support.

My dealer said a 200 would last about 6 years, they said that's true of these kind of products. Mine stopped working at about 5 months. Again, according to my dealer, a known problem. They've had it about 3 weeks now as they are rebuilding it with a newer set of insides. Not sure when I'll get it back.
As far as I know they seem to be good fixing in warranty period. However there are a lot of problems with these machines breaking from 2 +years (motherboards, o rings etc). Given the price tag this shouldn’t be the case. Ours lasted a few months after warranty ended (which is also poor at only 2 yrs). What they had not told us was that pool shops have to diagnose problems ($90-$100 fee) plus then you are charged part and cost to repair. We asked for the part we needed directly to fix problem ourselves as out of warranty; customer service was poor from maytronics and slow. Took them over a week to respond to any query and never returned phone calls when said they would.
They are great company initially and everyone loves machine when trey first buy as so easy however only people who have had machine a few months have positive reviews. Everyone seems to have problems 2-3 yrs in and at price point that shouldn’t be happening. A lot of money for a couple of years use and then huge costs of $500-$800 to fix problems arising after a couple of years is disgusting. Don’t purchase. Choose alternative company who don’t put money into aesthetics and marketing!
CWU - the point is, Maytronic cannot set the warranty period or conditions and any attempt to convince you that they can is illegal. As i posted above the laws are very clear about this. Simply, warranty is set by the Federal Government and enshrined in law. It's very unique to Australia, but not many people are aware...read the official link i provided above.
