the most terrible experience of a pool cleaner ever. i understand that all things need fixing. but the fix was as almost as much as the unit new - complete rubbish. the thing fell apart in the pool, had it sent off for repair, six months later it wouldnt work, sent it off again. too expensive to repair, in fact i haven't heard back from Maytronics.. terrible experience
nothing,
did not clean the entire pool, had to physically move it to the other end of the pool.

Dolphin Swash

Hi Maytronics, I have a dolphin swash, I turn it on and it runs for 5 seconds and then cuts out. What could be the issue? It does need a new impeller.

Hi Rich. If your Dolphin Swash is in need of a new impeller, it may be the cause as to why it is not functioning correctly. If an impeller is broken or has debris wrapped around it, this may also contribute to a robot not being able to begin or complete a full cycle. We recommend to replace the impeller and then run the robot to see if the issue continues to occur. Please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Care Team via email to [email protected] or on 1300 693 657 option 2 for any further assistance.

Thanks, I have replaced the impeller which fixed that problem but now the machine just goes back and forth and doesn't navigate anywhere else.

Hi Rich. When a robot moves only forward and backward, we recommend to check for any obstructions within the drive tracks and the impeller to ensure that these areas are clear. Should these areas be free from any obstructions, we do recommend the robot be assessed. Please contact our Customer Care Team via email to [email protected] or on 1300 693 657 option 2 for assistance in locating the closest dealer that is able to assist in the robot's assessment.

Dolphin Swash

I have a dolphin swash co. The power supply works fine..nothing is clogged, filter and propeller is clean. I had it on its side on the ground while cleaning it out with hose and my Pomeranian knocked it on its side(Not hard as she is small but I honestly don't know if it was on the side with the cord or not) and seems odd that it stopped working right afterwards?. After that well, the lights are all on but no go, poor thing just sits in the pool. Doesn't blow bubbles and doesn't move an inch. Do I need to replace the blue cord with the float? Where do I get a diy replacement? My in ground pool is 20x40. I love this cleaner and really want it to work again pls. Thank you. Tracy & Judd

Going to purchase upgrade tomorrow. Was hoping for a quick response. Think i will try one that lasts longer than 5 yrs and doesn't stop working when tipped on its side.

The blue lead can be changed and it is fairly straight forward. The leads vary ensure you order the right one. But before you change the lead check the output of the transformer (24v DC). If that is ok then check the swivel joint is in good order. This is where mine failed). Then you need to check the DC supply at the plug that goes into the machine. Most have a plug that is sealed against water. A simple volt meter check should check the machine has power. If there is power then it’s not the lead. The machine failing could be the in the sealed drive and circuit board. That would be expensive. The lead cost $400! It can be ordered directly from Maytronics.
