Great little car
Bought new ex-demo. Commute to work great on fuel although a little noisy and the speedo is over on the actual speed compared to the cruise control. Love the reverse sensors they’re a life saver! Comfy and zippy to drive and looks good. I have the dynamic blue colour and always getting compliments. Bluetooth is annoyingly slow and sometimes crap. Sometimes ding sounds from the passenger floor but apparently nothing wrong with it. Overall no major issues but only had it 2 months so far.
Purchased in November 2021 at Mazda Dealers.

zippy and fun to drive
great little car
I have the manual version and this car is zippy. reliable and fun to drive
economical with petrol.
love the cruise control feature.
was worried about spare tyre being 'short term use only', fortunately have not had tyre trouble so this has not been a problem.
would recommend and buy again!

A good car!
I’ve owned my Mazda 2 Neo for nearly 2 years now. It’s a good to drive car with enough power and good economy. Handles really well too which makes it a fun car to drive.
Few quality issues fixed under warranty such as a faulty BCM, rear suspension and rear seatbelts.
If you regularly stream music from your phone I’d recommend getting one with MZD screen as the Neo’s basic radio isn’t much use. Works fine but just cant select music or podcasts via the radio. Although that’s something I should have checked before buying it.
All in all a good car and one worth looking at.

The Best of the Best SERVICE
My poor old 1997 Mazda 121 got ill, mind you he had travelled almost 310,000 kilolmetres and the medical bills were getting bigger and bigger. I went to one GM-Holden dealer to look at the Barina. Walked into the showroom, alleged Salespeople walking around, I was the sole possible customer. They simply ignored me so I walked out. Went down the road to Jarrett's. What a change! The Salesman, Brenton Woods, stopped doing whatever it was he was working on immediately and asked if he could help! The conversion was complete! The SERVICE - and the c...Read more
apitals are deliberate - from the start until I picked up my little new boy was endless. Nothing was too much trouble. I was introduced to the Accounts Manager, the Service Manager and on Delivery Day I was taken through all the new technology. One person is usually overlooked by New Car Buyers and that is the one who prepares the vehicle. His name is Eli, I have never met him but he did a beautiful job. After I had completed the first 1000 kilometres I booked him in for his First Check-up. All done with no fuss. I have since bought a couple of accessories for him and the SERVICE remains as high as ever. I cannot recommend Jarrett Mazda at Mount Barker Highly enough.Similar opinion? Latency in response
Very comfortable on the inside and looks good. Low fuel consumption. Very good for learners and slow drivers. But I definitely would not recommend this car for those to rely on quick response of the car in various circumstances. It has a huge latency and may put lives in danger. I had to change my driving style after purchasing it. It is completely opposite to my previous car - Mazda 2 (!) fabricated in 2008.

Amazing fuel usage, great handling
Efficient on fuel is an understatement, we used to fill up once per fortnight now we fill up once in 2 and a half months, it's amazing.
As a second car its perfect for running about and picking up kids. The driving is zippy and smooth and has good pickup.
The interior is tidy and of good quality, the backseat is of reasonable size for a small car and the boot is pretty spacious. The mod cons aren't all there for the standard car but its okay
Overall the Mazda 2 is an awesome second car for a family or first car for a new driver.

My Mazda 2 is the best car I have ever owned. It was my first 'Brand New' Car and it didn't let me down. So compact and easy to park. Sound system is fantastic. The standard tyres are remarkable and lasted so long. Comfortable for long trips. plenty of legroom in the back. Easy press button hatch opening. Great first car for young one or little zippy runaround for busy nana!

Awesome little car
We replaced our Mazda 323 in 20014, and it was absolutely a surprise to find a small hatch with plenty of leg room, good sized boot, and all the nifty features I never had in my previous Mazda. The fuel economy is great, even with Adelaide's high fuel costs.I love the fact that it zips into small spaces in the shopping centre, sometimes I don't realise its still running if I have the radio on and waiting at the lights, "so quiet " I would recommend this fantastic little car to anyone especially older persons looking for an affordable little car.

Check engine light issues!!
Have had nothing but issues with my mazda 2 Neo, it went okay for about 15,000km then the check engine kept coming on, then it would go okay for a few weeks then it would come on again, this has probably happened about 15 times and majority of the time i am told it was dirty fuel even though 90% of the time the fuel i used was 98 so i swapped between servos to see which was the best one. Have had the engine replaced and just about every other component in the engine block. Have had it towed 4 times once from 100km away. Engine has cut out on me...Read more
while driving on more than one occasion, and when i tried to get a new car i was told i would have to pay the difference with the amount of distance the car had been driven, and now after seemingly going okay for about 5 months the check engine light has come on again and i am getting told it need a carbon cleanout here we go again. UPDATE: Took my car in for the service cost me $877 and less than a day later my engine light came back on, when I took the car back was informed properly everyday for 4 days then I had to ring them after hearing nothing for a week. They cleaned out the manifold which had carbon build-up, so do I change servos again because this will be the 6th servo that has had an issue with dirty fuel.Similar opinion? Great hatch - Mazda needs to build an MPS version
The Mazda 2 will suit anyone looking for a small car that has the flexibility to be a commuter or to travel further afield. Around town the Mazda 2 is zippy without being too powerful and the manual gearbox is a highlight in it's short throw and silky smooth operation. The interior is smart and practical and has a modern/retro feel with the circular air vents and long dash lines. On a twisty road the handling comes to the fore with the Mazda 2 easily settling into corners at the speed limit and holding a line nicely. Traveling out of town the M...Read more
azda doesn't disappoint with it's 6 speed gearbox making for effortless highway cruising and the cruise control allowing for individual km/h adjustments. With 2 adults and 2 kids onboard the Mazda 2 cabin feels secure and comfortable without being spacious as would be in a larger car. Fuel consumption is nothing short of spectacular ! I can totally recommend the current Mazda 2 - great refinements of what was already a great car in the previous model.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
