Manual Mazda 2010 4 door sedan
Incredibly cheap to run, I go through about a tank a month (although I don't drive much). This particular model has a 5 star safety rating, which is great. It is zippy and runs so well and smoothly, a pleasure to drive. No cruise control which might be a bummer on longer drives, but I don't mind. I live in the city and it's easy to park and get around.
Seriously, if you don't need a bigger car or 4wd (and you really don't...), I recommend the Mazda 2. Bit of a squish with 5 people in the car though.
The boot is phenomenally large, it's li...Read more
ke those magical cars from Harry Potter where it's bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. Only has 70k on the clock so far, but no issue at all so far (I got it 2ndhand.) Love this car - especially the sedan model over the hatchback, very pleasing on the eye.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

A good car!
I’ve owned my Mazda 2 Neo for nearly 2 years now. It’s a good to drive car with enough power and good economy. Handles really well too which makes it a fun car to drive.
Few quality issues fixed under warranty such as a faulty BCM, rear suspension and rear seatbelts.
If you regularly stream music from your phone I’d recommend getting one with MZD screen as the Neo’s basic radio isn’t much use. Works fine but just cant select music or podcasts via the radio. Although that’s something I should have checked before buying it.
All in all a good car and one worth looking at.

Fantastic little run around
We've had our Mazda 2 for almost 3 years now and it has been a fantastic ownership experience. It's a fun car to drive and extremely fuel efficient. We've only had one fault when the rear shocks died in the first year and Mazda replaced them at no cost no questions asked.
When we bought it we looked at the Mazda and the Honda Jazz and although the Jazz had a much bigger feeling interior the Mazda was much more fun to drive. Only downsides I can think of are that the entertainment unit in the Neo is pretty basic and it can hesitate a little ...Read more
to pull away from a standing start. Servicing has been amazing - feels like I have walked into a luxury dealer with a really slick check in experience and free coffee and snacks while waiting for the courtesy bus..Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great first car
Bought this car a little over 6 months ago and it has been great ever since I purchased it. Have never ahd a problem with it, it is extremely economical on fuel. It is a smaller car so you would not want to have a whole family in it. But it is a great little run about town car,

The Best of the Best SERVICE
My poor old 1997 Mazda 121 got ill, mind you he had travelled almost 310,000 kilolmetres and the medical bills were getting bigger and bigger. I went to one GM-Holden dealer to look at the Barina. Walked into the showroom, alleged Salespeople walking around, I was the sole possible customer. They simply ignored me so I walked out. Went down the road to Jarrett's. What a change! The Salesman, Brenton Woods, stopped doing whatever it was he was working on immediately and asked if he could help! The conversion was complete! The SERVICE - and the c...Read more
apitals are deliberate - from the start until I picked up my little new boy was endless. Nothing was too much trouble. I was introduced to the Accounts Manager, the Service Manager and on Delivery Day I was taken through all the new technology. One person is usually overlooked by New Car Buyers and that is the one who prepares the vehicle. His name is Eli, I have never met him but he did a beautiful job. After I had completed the first 1000 kilometres I booked him in for his First Check-up. All done with no fuss. I have since bought a couple of accessories for him and the SERVICE remains as high as ever. I cannot recommend Jarrett Mazda at Mount Barker Highly enough.Similar opinion? Awesome small sedan!
I bought the Mazda2 Maxx Sport Sedan for reverse camera and sensor.
Since it's normally only for 2 passenger, it is good enough (the back seat's space is quite narrow for tall people).
It is economical and easy to park.
I loved the interior design of the sport version - black cloth with red stitch.
I can also fold the back chair down for even bigger boot space, very handy when needed.
I also added GPS, which is an amazing add on.
As my first car, it is good for its value.

Fantastic city runaround, affordable motoring
I bought the Mazda2 Neo as an economical runaround to replace a 2008 Mazda6, to save on maintenance and fuel costs whilst and ease the stress of parking in tight inner city streets. I owned a brand new 2 Maxx in 2007, so i had fond memories of an easy ownership.
The driving experience is great. With light controls, well weighted steering and a slick 5 speed manual gearbox, the DE Mazda2 is a great city companion. It's a breeze to park, albeit the D pillars and high window line can hinder visibility slightly.

te basic, with AUX input, power windows/mirrors, remote keyless entry and ABS / electronic stability control being the standout features, however there is little to go wrong and nothing in the way of a simple driving experience. I would recommend purchasing a 2012 onwards model, as you'll get cruise control and steering wheel buttons, as well as 6 airbags in all trims. Also note, 2007 - 2009 models are built in Japan. 2010 is Thailand (mine) and 2011+ is back to Japan. I'd recommend the later Japanese years. Service costs generally hover at the $180-220 mark every 6 months, with regular replacements such as tyres, battery, drive belt, etc. Throughout 2 years and 38,000kms, it's averaged 7.14L/100km (generally 500kms to a tank). The best i've seen is 6.12L/100km, worst 8.35L/100km with heavy city driving and constant A/C. Issues experienced: - Paint quality (typical Mazda) - Bonnet paint has started to peel in small spots, worsening slowly over time.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great little car
Small enough to make parking easy. Fuel efficient, I get 500ks around town per 40 liter tank, quiet smooth ride. I have owned three Mazda 2's and they have never let me down. The only gripe I have is that the fuel gauge isn't very accurate once it passes 50% empty. I recommend these cars to anyone who wants a small fuel efficient reliable car.

Great Car
Really liked this car so i bought one off the show room floor.
The sedan attracted me because of the large boot size.Good for a couple who want a holiday,as our luggage fits and our belongings aren't left exposed on rear seat.
Manual transmission works for me with plenty of power so don't be afraid to use it.
The automatic transmissions kickback didn't suit me.

Latency in response
Very comfortable on the inside and looks good. Low fuel consumption. Very good for learners and slow drivers. But I definitely would not recommend this car for those to rely on quick response of the car in various circumstances. It has a huge latency and may put lives in danger. I had to change my driving style after purchasing it. It is completely opposite to my previous car - Mazda 2 (!) fabricated in 2008.

Amazing fuel usage, great handling
Efficient on fuel is an understatement, we used to fill up once per fortnight now we fill up once in 2 and a half months, it's amazing.
As a second car its perfect for running about and picking up kids. The driving is zippy and smooth and has good pickup.
The interior is tidy and of good quality, the backseat is of reasonable size for a small car and the boot is pretty spacious. The mod cons aren't all there for the standard car but its okay
Overall the Mazda 2 is an awesome second car for a family or first car for a new driver.

Zippy little car!
I love driving this car. We had a Mazda 323 protege before and after going back to Mazda after a spate of other cars, we were not disappointed! The interior is minimalistic, but functional and the running costs are great. I drive about 500 km per week to work and back. A 32L tank is about $40 a week running cost depending on the petrol price, and I drive every day including weekdays to take my daughter to swimming and random parties etc and it goes for about 7-10 days between fills. I have the hatchback which is little, and I have had trouble fitting things in there even with the seats folded but that's expected because its a small car!

I LOVE this car cannot fault
I am really happy with this car. It was the best decision i ever made it is so cheap to run and i have never had a problem with it. It just zips around the place so easily and parts are easily accessible. The inside interior is so comfortable and pretty spacious in the back but boot size could be bigger but i am happy with it as its all i needed.

A perfect city runnabout
I love this Mazda car which I bought for my partner . It is solidly built ( no tinny feel ) . The interior finish is high quality . It has fast acceleration for a small motor.
The car is also excellent on long drives on freeways . It hums at 110 kms . No vibrations or rattles. The radio bluetooth system is brilliant. I recommend it.

Comfortable and zippy little car
The smoothest car I've ever driven. Hardly chews the fuel (I only have to fuel up every 3-4 weeks) but has a lot of power when you put your foot down. It may look like a small car from the exterior but it has more space inside than you'd expect. And, i didn't expect this from a brand like Mazda but replacement parts are cheaper than expected.

Great car.
I have had my Mazda 2 Neo for 5 and a half years. It has been nothing but good to me, never had an issue. It is so easy to drive, park, reverse etc. there's nothing I dislike about the interior, everything is easy to clean. I fill up my tank every fortnight for around $35-$42. My upgrade will definitely be another Mazda but for now this little bubble is running just fine!

Great small car! Petrol consumption is awful!
Love the feel of the Mazda 2, great handling and braking and a perfect small car! However the petrol consumption is that of a 30 year old V8 engine and seems to be a very common problem with the model. Within 2 years the car had to be rewired and the brakes failed due to bad fluid put in from new purchase! Wouldn't recommend the Mazda 2!

Really love my new Mazda 2 GT
My Mazda 2 GT handles well. Easy steering and stable on road. Just love the interior, so glamorous/sophisticated with white genuine leather seats and interior with narrow red feature trims. A ladies' dream! The exterior Metallic
Soul Red just glows. Seats are so comfortable. There is adequate leg room. The hatch appears small but has just the right amount of space as is deep. The high tech. features are awesome such as pop-up driver display showing 3 items: speed being done, maximum speed limit for each road you are on, cruise-control details...Read more
